Will Barack Obama be reelected in 2012? It’s impossible to say, and given the GOP’s trouble finding a worthy candidate and the difficulties inherent in knocking off a sitting President, it’s easy to be pessimistic despite Obama’s rather obvious incompetence and soft approval ratings.

One thing is for sure, however; If Obama’s going to win, he’s going to have to do a lot more to move towards the center than he has so far. Dick Morris explains, read more…

I was in the middle of nowhere.  I found myself loaded up in an SUV with about 8 other American seminary students as we entered a village in the middle of some woods outside of Jakarta, Indonesia.  I tensed up as we passed a Muslim training facility where we were told they train children in two things: the Koran and terror.  The ethnic group in that part of Indonesia rejects all education but the Koran and radical Islam.

It makes their children ripe pickings for terrorist organizations.

That day was probably the scariest in my life. But I was more than just scared, I was also sad.  I was heartbroken that the children of that village and in that area were getting no education but the Koran. None of them even understood Arabic, but they could mindlessly read the Koran.  And the children grew up with radicals telling them what it means to truly follow God.

For the third straight year, President Obama insulted the memory of as many as 1.5 million  Christian Armenians slaughtered by Turkish Muslims between 1914 and 1918. Breaking a campaign pledge, he still refuses to call their massacre at the hands of Turkish Muslims by its true name – genocide.

Even more shockingly, Obama used the statement he issued last Saturday on Armenian Remembrance Day to reference

For the second time since the Egyptian upheaval began, the pipeline bringing natural gas from Egypt to Israel (and Jordan) has been shut down because of sabotage. The explosion took place early Wednesday morning, rocked the area and caused 65-foot flames, according to reports. According to Reuters, a security source has revealed that an unidentified armed gang attacked the pipeline.
This is not a simple act of sabotage; it is an attempt by radical forces within Egypt to make Israel the scapegoat behind the terrible economic situation.  It is this radical segment of the populace that seems to be winning the hearts and minds of the Egyptian people.  A Pew Study released this week, Egyptians Embrace Revolt Leaders, Religious Parties and Military, revealed that ” By a margin of 54 percent to 36 percent, Egyptians say their country should annul the treaty with Israel.”

The United States did not fare much better; 39% of Egyptians said that the United States response to the political protest movement had a negative impact on the situation, 22% said it had a positive effect, and 35% said the effect was neither positive nor negative. Additionally, 15% of Egyptians said they would like Egypt to have closer ties with the United States, 43% said Egypt distance itself from the United States and 40 percent said ties between the two countries should remain the same.

The Muslim Students Association is a national organization with chapters on hundreds of U.S. campuses. It has a privileged position on these campuses such that no student paper would print the statement that follows in this blog. It would be regarded as “offensive to an ethnic and religious group.” What is truly offensive are the subterfuges under which the MSA operates, lying about its core mission — which is to advance the Islamic jihad against the Jews and Christians of the Middle East, and ultimately against the United States. Unfortunately the lies of the MSA (like its sister organizations CAIR and the Muslim American Society) are successful in snookering the willing accomplices of the political left and the unwitting accomplices of the inattentive middle to support and protect them. read more…

The practice of infant circumcision, which carries particular religious significance for Jews, may be outlawed later this year in San Fransisco. A ballot initiative is underway which would ask voters whether to prohibit the practice in November.

The proposed new law would make it a misdemeanor to circumcise a person before they are 18-years-old.

“We don’t come at this from a religious angle,” Lloyd Schofield told the San Francisco Examiner. “We feel this is a very harmful thing. Parents are guardians. They are not owners of children. It’s a felony to tattoo a child.”

The effort is being taken seriously in light of last year’s ban of toys in McDonald’s Happy Meals. That move was enacted by the San Fransisco Board of Supervisors and provoked even leftist commentator Jon Stewart to call the city a “nanny state.” read more…

Is it possible that PETA, an organization which has equated the eating of animals to the lynching of black Americans, has something in common with the Tea Party? I wondered when I received an email from a fellow Tea Partier which had originated from the radical animal rights group.

House File (HF) 1369 and Senate File (SF) 1118, which are currently making their way through the Minnesota State Legislature, could subject whistleblowers to criminal prosecution for their efforts to expose animal abuse on factory farms. If passed, these bills would penalize those who report and expose cruelty to animals and would put them at risk of being charged with a misdemeanor or even a felony, sentenced to pay heavy fines, and ordered to serve jail time. This legislation is a desperate attempt by agriculture industry giants to prevent consumers from learning the truth about how animals on factory farms live and die.

As PETA presents it, these bills appear to attack freedom of speech. By saying they “penalize those who report and expose cruelty to animals,” PETA makes it sound like speaking against a factory farm will become a criminal offense. Were this true, the Tea Party would indeed find itself allied with PETA against these bills. read more…

A week ago, with little attention from the Trump-obsessed American media, one of the most important stories in the last years of Western Civilization happened in a small town outside of Athens, Greece. After months of rioting and mayhem, Keratea residents agreed to a “truce” with authorities wherein riot police would withdraw from Keratea and cede control of the city to the violent mobs.

The Greek state has ceded control of an entire city to rioters. If this isn’t newsworthy, nothing is. read more…

From Accuracy in Media‘s Logan Churchwell:

With Republican presidential announcements approaching this summer, MSNBC has seen fit to promote their underwhelming primetime lineup with a new round of Lean Forward TV ads. Each of these spots takes our beloved hosts out of the studio and into the “real” part of America that they seek to speak for. Some are ironic, others are downright hokey. All videos, however, offer not-so-subtle endorsements of progressive policies that play like in-kind donations to the Democratic National Committee. They serve as excellent examples for logical fallacies, too. read more…

Are liberal women responsible for neutering men, as Rep. Allen West told a group of Tea Partiers in Boca Raton, FL last week? In a word, yes.

Here’s the statement West made to a group of conservative women that has people on the left riled up:

We need you to come in and lock shields, and strengthen up the men who are going to the fight for you. To let these other women know on the other side — these planned Parenthood women, the Code Pink women, and all of these women that have been neutering American men and bringing us to the point of this incredible weakness — to let them know that we are not going to have our men become subservient. That’s what we need you to do. Because if you don’t, then the debt will continue to grow…deficits will continue to grow.

I’m sure West’s use of the word “subservient” was like nails on a chalkboard to the left. After all, servitude is the very thing they pride themselves on having saved women from. The notion that men are in any way subservient is laughable to this group — they think men in America have it made.

Yet West is correct: American men have been demoted. They were once respected providers and protectors; today, they’re considered unnecessary, irrelevant, and downright expendable. Men do need lifting up, and conservative women are precisely the ones to do it.

The best example to date of America’s new attitude toward men is a statement actress Jennifer Aniston made in August of last year:

Women are realizing more and more that you don’t have to settle, they don’t have to fiddle with a man to have a child.

Isn’t that just Hollywood talking trash, you ask. Don’t these women live on another planet? Perhaps. But no Hollywood actress would have dared to think, much less say, such a thing forty years ago – whether she was a Republican or a Democrat. One could only feel comfortable making such a statement in a society that’s gone off the deep end.

Here’s another example.

I can’t remember who told me this: “People don’t attack you unless they see you as a threat.”

The Left’s biggest targets — from Rush Limbaugh to Ronald Reagan — have been the ones who were capable of the most damage to the progressive cause. That adage must apply to Andrew Breitbart, because the Left hasn’t stopped trying to discredit him and bring him down.

Breitbart has emerged as one of the leading soldiers on the front lines of the cultural war between the Right and the Left. He has called himself a “reluctant cultural warrior,” yet he is unafraid to dive head-first into controversy. Whether he’s calling out the NAACP for accusing Tea Party activists of racism, going toe to toe with the tools at Media Matters, or facing down the worst interviewer in the world, Martin Bashir, Breitbart confronts the Left head on. read more…
