In September, I wrote about the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops‘ [USCCB] endorsement of an ‘interfaith letter‘ that was co-signed by radical Wahhabists from the Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] and various representatives of the radical Religious Left. Real Muslim reformers like Dr. Zuhdi Jasser did not sign the statement addressing ‘anti-Muslim prejudice’. Cardinal McCarrick now acknowledges public criticism of the particular Muslims that the bishops have sought to make relationships with–and he is defending that relationship.
Have the bishops been duped? Or is the leftist political agenda really more important to them than protecting America from terrorism?
Useful idiots came in handy for Lenin, and they are coming in handy today for those who seek to bring Sharia (Islamic) Law into America’s courtrooms. Florida Judge Richard Nielsen has ruled that he will settle a dispute according to “Ecclesiastical Islamic Law” and Adam Serwer at The American Prospect is bending over backwards to defend the ruling. Secular judges making rulings based on Sharia? That’s not justice. It’s justice denied.
As a college student I started studying the Bible and got prideful about my Bible knowledge. I once told a friend who had a Bible with commentary in it that I disagreed with that he should just throw his Bible in the trash. That was a horrible thing to say, but now MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell thinks Glenn Beck and really all Christians should throw away their Bibles. To O’Donnell, only a fool would take Glenn Beck and the Good Book seriously.
O’Donnell, the broke screenwriter turned hack Democrat political adviser, turned Olbermann low-rating replacement, now thinks he is a master theologian and knows what Scripture should be rejected. O’Donnell has picked a fight with Glenn Beck in order to get some attention for himself. Sadly for him, his hubris has taken him too far.
