Glenn Beck: This Passover, Israel is the Sacrificial Lamb

2011 April 19

“If the United States allows the United Nations to dictate that there will be a Palestinian state, then all the democratic nations of the world are at risk …if we allow that democracy [Israel] to be dictated to by the UN, why do we think as Americans that the UN will not try, in turn, to dictate to us?”

– Pastor John Hagee, CUFI

Apartheid on their Own Terms: The Pro-Palestine Movement is Called Out for Re-Defining Racism

2011 April 17

This popular post was originally published on April 14, 2011

Israel isn’t racist: Just ask black people.  The one good thing to come out of Israel Apartheid Week is a letter from the Vanguard Leadership Group (VLG) that all but essentially calls Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) liars who seek to inflame and popularize the stereotype that Zionism is racism.

Progressive Jewishness: Sexing up Politics While Throwing Judaism to the Curb

2011 April 7

To attract young Jewish Americans to your politics you need to be young, vibrant…sexy?  Progressives have repurposed Judaism to suit their political needs and their marketing it with some good ol’ fashioned sex appeal.

Israel is Too Jewish: Blame the Lefty “Zionists”

2011 April 6

Groucho Marx once quipped, “I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member.”  For hardcore Jewish leftists that statement is more fact than funny, especially when it comes to the Jewishness of Israel.

Dr. Economy Barack Obama says: Give me One BILLION Dollars and I’ll Redistribute it to ME!

2011 April 4

The top headlines this morning read (and I paraphrase):  Obama performs ultimate act of redistributing your wealth-donate now! Followed by:  Obama wants a billion?  WE can give YOU 4 TRILLION in 2012!

The political attitude towards money is priceless–until it involves your dwindling bank balance.  The Obama Campaign’s “official introduction” into the 2012 campaign (a race that some would say he’s been running since November 3, 2008) makes no official statements, yet illustrates his political platform very clearly: “All of you who are still unemployed, those of you who are now in the midst of fighting a third Middle Eastern war without Congressional approval, and all of you who sent an overwhelming majority of Republicans to Congress in November because you didn’t like my NCAA draft picks: Give me your money so that I can have the biggest campaign bankroll EVER.”  No wonder Obama viewed former Press Secretary Gibbs’s $172,000/year salary as “modest”: This President needs One BILLION Dollars to raise his self-esteem. read more…

The Left Doesn’t Get Palin’s ‘No Apologies’ Tour in Israel

2011 March 22

While the official faces of Left-Wing America are walking the tight-rope over to the dark side of the anti-Israel movement, Sarah Palin is making the Star of David a fashion statement for which she refuses to apologize.

Israeli/Not an Israeli: Lives that Do and Don’t Count in the Jewish American Playbook

2011 March 19

Pop culture’s hip new trend is to fight back against bullying, but nothing much is new in the Jewish world.  Perhaps that is why a video of a kid beating up a bully can go viral while the story of five tragic murders of innocent Israeli civilians is passed off rather quietly.  After all, where’s the news in the story of another family of Israeli settlers being murdered in their home?  It isn’t as if they belong there anyway–they were asking for it.  So, let’s move on to more important topics, like talking about how bad bullying is.  Right?

Israel Will Cave to International Pressure: A Page from the Left’s Revolutionary Playbook

2011 March 9

Forget Glenn Beck. The Conspiracy Theory Award of the Week goes to Carlo Strenger (residing psych chief of the ward that is Ha’aretz) for reminding us no less than three times in the span of 792 words that Israel’s new enemy is INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE.

For Strenger, support for a Jewish presence in the West Bank means subscribing to the same type of “Political Messianism” that motivates Ahmadinejad to prepare for the 12th Imam.  Forget the logic of national defense; if you want so much as a Jewish toe in the sand beyond the Green Line, your entire political outlook is governed by the vision of inevitable apocalypse.

(Oh, and you hate Palestinians, but that’s a given.  Anyone who isn’t a Leftist hates the Palestinians.)

There was a time in history when even the left of the left-wing of Jewish politics fought for the Jewish right to live in Israel.  So, why, roughly 100 years later, is Israel’s left wing now arguing so vehemently against Jews living in Israel?

Progressive Tikkun Olam: The Union Assault on Repairing the World

2011 March 2

“You are a bad Jew!  You are a bad Jew!  Have you ever heard of Tikkun Olam?  …This, what you are doing, is NOT healing the world.”

This finger-pointed accusation made by one left-wing Jew to a right-wing Jew outside the D.C. offices of FreedomWorks went viral last week.  Along with illustrating the over-the-top anger leftists have regarding right wing politics, this brief exchange highlighted the schism that increasingly pervades political dialogue.  Today, it seems that when it comes to politics, two people may disagree and still get along, unless they are radical leftists.  To radical leftists, those who hold an opposing viewpoint are simply accused of destroying the world.

But can the accusation of “not healing the world” really hold water?
