Michael van der Galien
Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Just before the weekend, MSNBC’s Courtney Hazlett pimped Michael Moore‘s new movie “Capitalism: A Love Story” on Morning Joe.
Speaking to Morning Joe‘s Willie Geist, Hazlett described Moore as some kind of modern-day Robin Hood. Moore’s main problem with capitalism, she explained, is that it enables “the top 1% of the wealth pyramid” to own “95% of the nation’s wealth.”
Robin Hood Moore is just “out there for the little guy who isn’t being heard.” read more…

Appearing on Morning Joe yesterday, former Carter national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski reacted to the outrage sparked by comments he had made earlier this week to the Daily Beast. Those remarks were widely interpreted as a call on President Obama to shoot down Israeli jets if they were to fly over Iraq en route to attacking Iran‘s nuclear-weapons facilities.
Dr. Brzezinski claimed that his remarks had been misinterpreted:
“I simply said that if the Israelis violated our [air] space, there could be an incident — and I said it’s very much to be avoided — that could produce a [perception of] collusion. Because I don’t assume that we would simply let the Israelis use our airspace for an attack for which we would then be blamed by the Iranians.” read more…
