The boys at the George Soros Steno Pool, a.k.a. Media Matters, evidently don’t care about Donny Deutsch explaining to Larry King that gays don’t watch football.
Which is weird because they haven’t ignored Deutsch’s “controversial” statements in the past.
Anyhow: no surprise that Media Matters is pretending to be scandalized by Rush Limbaugh’s “retard” gags on yesterday’s show.
Wow. Just… wow.
How delusional do you have to be, to be considered a “progressive”?
Unlike us mere rubes, progressives don’t trust their own lived experiences, or the evidence of their senses, preferring instead to rely upon lofty “studies” and “experts.”
We right wingers have worn out the “who ya gonna believe: me or your own lyin’ eyes?” meme, mocking the left’s latest fantasy “theory” about “reality.”

“Anchorman” is not a documentary
Media Matters’ “Rush Limbaugh Wire” is down to one Zachary. But for some reason, it still takes three employees from the George Soros Steno Pool to work the high steel listen to a radio show every afternoon, then type up the host’s “offensive” and “outrageous” statements.
Speaking of employment, here’s Media Matters’ idea of a “gotcha”:
Yeah, I did it: I watched the Miss America pageant Saturday night.
My excuse was “it’s my job” — after all, Rush Limbaugh was one of the judges. But I really wanted to pick up some of those cool beauty queen tips, like: spritz hairspray under your arms after you put on deodorant, to keep it from wiping off on your clothes. And did you know there’s something called “butt glue”?
Anyway, as I said: Rush Limbaugh served as a Miss America judge this year and… nothing happened.

Absolutely amazing poll results from CNN today about the $787 stimulus package: nearly three out of four Americans think the money has been wasted. On second thought, they may be right: it’s been wasted on them. Indeed, the largest single item in the package–$288 billion–is tax relief for 95% of the American public. This money is that magical $60 to $80 per month you’ve been finding in your paycheck since last spring. Not a life changing amount, but helpful in paying the bills.
Yes, he really did write $787 — no zeros. On Monday, at 11:30 AM. It’s still like that. But remember: you’re the idiots, and the editors and writers at TIME are your moral and intellectual superiors!

When Conrad Black launched the National Post ten years ago, as a more or less conservative alternative to Canada’s liberal/leftist daily papers, one of his first hires was Donna Laframboise.
Laframboise’s resume doesn’t exactly inspire your confidence, if you’re a typical conservative: she’s got a degree in Women’s Studies (!), and is pro-choice and pro-gay “marriage.”
Yet I always looked forward to her column, because she was clearly allergic to ideological cant from both sides, and not afraid to take an unpopular stand. read more…
More than any other subject, journalists like reporting on… journalism. Earlier this week, two journalists had a little chat online about their work and how wonderful the Miami Herald is.
Here’s how it started:
Look, Glenn Beck is doing a great service to the nation: inspiring ordinary people to stop their impotent muttering and get active. He and his fellow talk radio host Mark Levin also launched a timely revival of interest in the Constitution and the Founding Fathers.
But sometimes? Yeah, he loses me.

The George Soros Steno Pool is so unglued this morning that they’ve either lost their ability to read simple English, or more likely, they’re just twisting simple facts into pretzels in sheer desperation.
The International Free Press Society hosts an online symposium on Dutch MP Geert Wilders, who goes on trial tomorrow for “insulting Islam.”
As one of the prosecutors “explained”:
It is irrelevant whether Wilder’s witnesses might prove Wilders’ observations to be correct. What’s relevant is that his observations are illegal.
