I live in Illinois, which is like living in a gulag for conservatives. A little over a year ago, I confronted CNN reporter, Susan Roesgen, for unfairly reporting the Chicago Tea Party protest. I continue to detest the corrupt media.
The story of Pat Tillman’s death in 2004 in Afghanistan by friendly fire, and the military’s cover up of the tragedy, has been resurrected this week as the film concerning those events opened. “The Tillman Story” is being billed as a documentary, but if the published reviews are any indication, it’s anything but. It is simply a version of the truth that the Tillman family believes about their son’s tragic death. According to those reviews, it editorializes and promotes an anti-war point of view and conspiratorially suggests unproven sinister motives about his death.
That sounds like propaganda to me. If this film comes to Chicago, I won’t be seeing it, just as I chose not to see Michael Moore’s film “Fahrenheit 911” for the same reason. I can find propaganda for free all day long on the internet. I don’t need to go to the cinema for it. read more…
Intolerant. That’s what we are. We’re bigots too. Eugene Robinson says today in the Washington Post that we’re a bunch of “fraidy-cats.” Richard Cohen says we are engaging in “demagogic buffoonery.” They incorrectly compare the mosque protest to African Americans fighting for civil rights when leaders called for compromise in those days too. The analogy is a false one. African Americans did not attack America and murder our citizens. The Left will continue this false argument. They are determined to marginalize 68% of the American public who are against building this mosque so close to Ground Zero, because we see it as a symbol of victory for Islam. The Left sees it as bigotry, and continues to play that card every chance they get, no matter what the issue.
What were we when we said very little when Scotland released the Lockerbie bomber for humanitarian reasons because he was supposedly dying? It turns out President Obama did not object and knew ahead of time he was going to be released. We watched as Libyans rejoiced in the streets when he was released, and worse, he didn’t die! This is a perfect example of our enemies lying straight to our faces to get their way. We try to be tolerant and “humanitarian,” only to get duped, time and time again. read more…
The other day Kyra Phillips of CNN interviewed two American Muslims who are visiting 30 Mosques in 30 Days, and blogging about their experiences. The interview is an attempt to put a happy face on Islam. In fact, Phillips giggles her way through the interview as if to say ‘Look how fun and cool mosques are.’ The interview of these young Muslims is an obvious attempt to convince Americans that Islam is not extreme, and in fact its followers are just like you and me. It’s CNN’s attempt to change the conversation regarding building a mosque next to Ground Zero. Kyra Phillips has a history of distorting reality, so it’s not surprising that she would want to do a story on these young men visiting American mosques. Mayor Bloomberg’s Tearful Mosque Speech: Thanks For Not Screwing Up My Saudi Investment Strategy
Whenever I can’t figure out why an intelligent person would espouse a baffling position on something, I always remind myself to follow the money. There just isn’t any other logical explanation for so many bad decisions that people in power tend to make than ‘someone’s making money on this.’ And so from the very beginning, Mayor Bloomberg’s strident support of building a mosque at Ground Zero made me think that he had to make nice with the Saudi’s for monetary purposes. In my mind there could be no other reason for Bloomberg to take such a stand as the Mayor of New York City.
In recent weeks, many of us have written blog posts on this topic appealing to Bloomberg’s sense of reason and morality, to no avail. He is steadfast on using the Constitution to cloak his position, just as the mosque developers have. But none of them have had the decency to just consider the feelings of Americans, regardless of whether they have the “right” to build the mosque or not. We all know they have the “right” to build it, and the whole Landmark Committee angle was just stupid. I’ve always hated technicalities anyway. What’s wrong with just objecting because it’s the right thing to do? The fact of the matter is that I believe the mosque developers have an ulterior political motive for building the mosque, and Bloomberg has a financial motive for supporting it. read more…

Last night on The O’Reilly Factor, the Executive Director of CAIR (Council of American Islamic Relations), Nihad Awad, refused to acknowledge that Americans want respect, instead of a mosque near Ground Zero. Awad could not bring himself to see the perspective of Americans, yet insisted that we must see their perspective. This is typical of so called “moderate” Muslim groups who are using the freedoms of America to advance their cause. They hide behind the US Constitution in order to force-feed us their intolerance. The fact that Awad would not acknowledge to O’Reilly that building the mosque is hurtful to most Americans proves their political motives, and lack of respect.
Newt Gingrich was also on the show to offer a counterpoint to CAIR’s perspective, saying that building the mosque near Ground Zero is purely a political move. Most Americans agree with this. After all, there are mosques all over New York, and they are free to practice their religion. The opposition only wants them to acknowledge that building the mosque so close to Ground Zero is hurtful and disrespectful, and that it should be abandoned. The fact that CAIR and the mosque developers refuse to acknowledge this proves that their plans are politically motivated. They have no interest in “building bridges,” as Awad insists.
Black Conservatives Running For Office
Cedra Crenshaw of Bolingbrook, IL just wanted the best education possible for her children. She started looking into her local school district and found that the majority of the education dollars were going to salaries and benefits for teachers and administrators, instead of students. Yet the schools were financially hurting. She kept hoping that someone would run for office and correct the situation, but no one came forward in her largely Democrat district to cut spending.
So Crenshaw decided to run for office herself. Her accounting background and experience as an auditor was just what her district needed. What she encountered was typical Democrat machine politics in Illinois, down and dirty. Crenshaw should have known it would not be easy. She is, after all, a black conservative in the Democrat gulag of Illinois. read more…

What do Muslims do when they conquer their enemies? They build a mosque at the site of their destruction. It is the ultimate symbol of their victory, and now they are planning to do it in New York.
When Muslim forces first conquered Spain in the 8th century they took over the Cordoba Cathedral and built The Great Mosque of Cordoba in tribute to their bloody violence. They did the same in Turkey and Jerusalem. Ironically, they will be calling their symbol of victory at Ground Zero the Cordoba House, which will contain a mosque as well as “an institute for cultural understanding.” Does Mayor Bloomberg understand the history of Muslim conquerors, and the meaning behind their desire to build at Ground Zero? Do the leaders in the city council understand anything other than the cowardly submission to political correctness? I bet those council members would deny homeowners the ability to alter the exterior of their apartment buildings, but build a mosque next to Ground Zero? No problem. read more…
Larry King keeps wetting his pants. He’s consistently the gift that keeps on giving to the right, but his latest interview with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was so bad, and so insulting to the Prime Minister that CNN seriously needs to fast track King’s retirement. read more…
Charles Manson claimed he was trying to start a race war when he killed Sharon Tate and the others in Los Angeles 40 or so years ago but knew nothing about starting one. The people who are doing a good job of trying to start a race war now were barely out of diapers when Manson went on his killing spree. Attorney General Eric Holder, President Barack Obama, and the New Black Panther Party have joined forces to make sure that divisions remain between the races, and it’s all in the name of voter intimidation and getting Democrats elected. Or is there something else brewing too?
Recently Eric Holder dropped charges against the New Black Panther Party members who were caught on video intimidating voters in Philadelphia during the 2008 election. Those of us who have been watching this administration were not surprised. We also weren’t surprised that the media gave it scant attention. read more…
