Islam is a Jew-hating creed.

The only “debate” on this point occurs between those who have educated themselves on Islam and those who have not.

Best Friends Forever: Hamas Agrees with the Left on the 9/11 Mosque

2010 August 16

The Left’s love affair with tyranny and terror continues. Yet again “progressives” find themselves sharing a bed with genocidal mass murderers.

The New York Post reports on the 9/11 mosque’s newest supporter:

“We have to build everywhere,” said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and the organization’s chief on the Gaza Strip. read more…

Let me Know if You Find BigFoot While You’re Hunting for “Moderate Islam”

2010 August 16

John, please pick me up a filet of fish, fries, and a mocha frappe when you get back from your search for Big Foot and "Moderate Islam."

Yesterday I published a post at NewsReal Blog explaining the anti-Semitism embedded within Islam and the consequences we see today as a result.

John Guardiano submitted a rebuttal. His response in a nutshell: I’m helping the enemy by agreeing that their interpretation with Islam is correct. Instead of telling the truth about Islam — “demonizing” Islam in John’s words — I should be embracing some supposed “moderate Islam.” I should be labeling those who want to kill Jews and impose Sharia on the planet as “misinterpreters” of true Islam.

I decided to reject John’s post as he submitted it and explained my reasoning over the course of several time-consuming emails. John decided to publish this rebuttal at Frum Forum today instead. So now John is basically insisting that I make public my rationale for rejecting the piece. Very well. read more…

Hot Post: President Obama, How Does Islam Advance “the Dignity of All Human Beings” when its Prophet Practiced and Condoned Sex Slavery?

2010 August 15

This post was first published on August 12.

The White House Released this statement yesterday from President Barack Obama to commemorate the Muslim holiday of Ramadan:

These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings. Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality.  And here in the United States, Ramadan is a reminder that Islam has always been part of America and that American Muslims have made extraordinary contributions to our country. And today, I want to extend my best wishes to the 1.5 billion Muslims around the world – and your families and friends – as you welcome the beginning of Ramadan.

Emphasis mine. Now: how did Muhammad respect the dignity of all human beings? read more…

Barack Obama — The Sharia Law President — Endorses the 9/11 Mosque

2010 August 13

Visit http://fawstin.blogspot.com for more of Bosch Fawstin's amazing art.

I really did not think our Post-American President would be this profoundly braindead:

Muslims “have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country,” Obama said, according to a White House transcript. “That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances.”

….

“Now, we must all recognize and respect the sensitivities surrounding the development of Lower Manhattan,” he said, according to the White House transcript. “The 9/11 attacks were a deeply traumatic event for our country. And the pain and the experience of suffering by those who lost loved ones is just unimaginable. So I understand the emotions that this issue engenders.”

That said, he added: “This is America. And our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable.”

Hat tip to my dear friend Mary Belle Snow.

I mean I knew that he certainly wanted to bow before the stealth jihadis in New York City and lend his support to their anti-American obscenity. I just thought that with approval ratings as bottom-of-the-barrel as he’s currently carrying that he might be smart enough to just keep his mouth shut for once.

Yeah, I was wrong. read more…

Head of Professors Association to Students Wanting to Suggest Books to Improve Classes: SHUT UP!

2010 August 13

When you really look at the history of the Academic Freedom campaign (and you can August 31 when David Horowitz’s new book of its history comes out) it’s really been an entirely moderate, mild, dare I say liberal (and therefore far too radical for the tenured Left to handle) effort. The principle message has been simple: professors should behave in the classroom like academics with a skeptical attitude toward claims to the Truth, not bare-knuckled activists in a political arena trying to bludgeon others and “persuade” them they’ve found it. Horowitz has never attempted to shut down departments,  get any professor fired, or have a book removed from the classroom. It’s just been about restoring academic traditions and policies that have been largely ignored in recent decades because of the hegemony of  the politically-correct Left. read more…

Christopher Hitchens Video with The Atlantic: “I’m Dying”

2010 August 11

Ted Olson: “We can’t wait for the voters to decide that that immeasurable harm, that is unconstitutional, must be eliminated.”

2010 August 9

Hat tip to Richard Metzger at Dangerous Minds who’s correct in making a distinction between ideological conservatives and partisan Republicans.

This is not a “leftist argument.” I’m still mulling over my position on the decision to overturn Prop 8. Initially I leaned toward David Horowitz’s take — that a push for gay marriage should be done through getting majorities in states to support the idea — but now I’m not so sure. What do NRB‘s readers and bloggers think of Ted Olson’s arguments?

And this needs to be said too. It’s been the thought in the back of my mind throughout this debate: Why are we more concerned about this discussion of “gay marriage” and “civil unions” than the fact that gay people are being slaughtered by Islamofascists?

Understand the Left In Depth: The 10 Most Important David Horowitz Books to Read

2010 August 9

One of the most common queries I’ve gotten from NewsReal Blog readers and bloggers alike is some guidance on which of David Horowitz’s books to read. Which are the most important? Which will help them understand his political approach and analysis of the Left the best? Which will be most useful in their own political fights?

It’s not an easy question as different people have different interests and will be moved by different books. Never the less, I’ve decided to create this guide listing what — in my personal opinion — are the ten most important of David’s books to read — and I’ve ranked them in order.

All of these books can be purchased in the Freedom Center’s online book store. read more…
