There was a story that got tsunamied by the news out of Pakistan last Sunday. It was a telling moment deserving of closer inspection. Now that some time has passed, let’s do so.
Seven days a week, intense debate rages in political forums across the land. Loons on the left declare FOX is not a real news station, while conservatives level the same claim against MSNBC. The debate ended last weekend. And, just like in the ratings race, FOX came out the clear winner.
At the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, guest speaker Seth Somebody-or-other confirmed what dishonest leftists (redundant, I know) refuse to admit: MSNBC is not a news agency – they are a public relations branch of the Obama Administration. In the middle of a bunch of hackneyed jokes about Republican presidential contenders, Seth strayed from attempts at humor to make a confession. Speaking about MSNBC’s after-party he said;
“President Obama makes the Kool-Aid, and everyone there drinks it.”
For some reason, in a follow-up column on their website entitled “Funniest Jokes of the Correspondent’s Dinner,” MSNBC failed to mention Seth’s Kool-Aid comment.
This was not the first time MSNBC’s Obama zombies were exposed by the disinfecting sunlight of truth. Last year, the network’s poster child for cronyism, Mika Mxyzlptlk, without a scintilla of shame, publicly admitted she gets talking points in the form of text messages from the White House (rumor has it that Mika was not at the correspondents’ dinner, she was taping an episode of Jeopardy, where she finished third, losing to a chimp named Mr. Jub-Jub and an empty chair).
In his quips about FOX, the best Seth could do was comment on their anchors being beautiful, with pretty smiles. Then, in a stunning display of liberals eating their own, he outed MSNBC as a propaganda tool.
The network tried to pretend the disclosure never happened, and wished for it to go away, but were bitch-slapped a second time in as many days when the point was driven home last Sunday. Osama Bin Laden’s death was news. Big News. FOX broke the story, because that’s what news agencies do. CNN followed minutes later. MSNBC? Almost twenty minutes later, they announced what was by then old news.
One can imagine the frenzied atmosphere at MSNBC’s headquarters as the evening developed:
“When is Glorious Leader going to send down our instructions? What do we say? Where are our talking points? What? FOX just broke the story??!! Noooooo! Now we have to announce it, we have to say something – but WHAT? For the love of Allah, somebody please tell us WHAT!!”
The President’s speech began more than a half hour after it was scheduled. Is this why MSNBC was late with their announcement – their talking points were delayed also?
How did they find out Bin Laden was dead – does MSNBC get their news from FOX? It’s very likely- based on their daily content it’s obvious they spend as much time watching FOX as they do mulling the malodorous Media Matters.
