The ghoulishly hawkish progressives will kill damn near anything to remain in power. Every now and then their chosen victim is one we can all appreciate. That coincidence does not imply that their impetus was the liberty of these united states. Four more years of Obama and his ilk are far more dangerous to our children than the same dispensation to an aging Saudi zealot. If the action some so quickly celebrate leads to re-election of the chosen one, we're all the worst for it. USA! USA! USA!

I like that 4th qrt STUFF-hairybeast I'm a Vietnam vet. I was a TL on a LRRP team (6 men) for 2 tours. I have particapated in a few body snatches of high level personel. At NO TIME was I given an order to KILL/TAKE NO PRISONERS. We rehearsed more then (TWICE) to grab a bad guy that we needed. Any high level person should always be taken alive (If possible) Seal team 6 gets a order to ASSASSINATE ONLY-Why not use a SNIPER ??? That's like me get a warning order to kill HO CHI MINH instead of capture. Kill him Saturday-DNA him-get him to the carrier-send him out to sea (How far ??) and dump him all within 24 hrs ????? THIS DOES NOT PASS THE SMELL TEST !!!!!!! Tell Obama to get better choppers to carry our guy's to op's like this (POW grap in Vietnam-one BAD BIRD, Rescue in Iran, one BAD BIRD, let's go KILL ben ladin another BAD BIRD "WHAT'S UP WITH DAT" ????? Show me the film-every move and shot should be on film !!!! I wonder what Barry has for us next week ??????

It’s important not to seem too sour-grapey about the news. Yes it is galling to see a guy come into the game in the 4th quarter and score a goal using the strategies and resources set up by the previous guy. But if Obama seems too eager to get an undeserved measure of credit for this it will be noticed. Fact is, he does deserve credit for continuing the Bush policies he repudiated to get elected, and scored a big coup in the Overseas Contingency Effort Formerly Known As The War On Terror. We should all just enjoy the moment. And one bonus element is the fact that because a Dem got Bin Laden the Palace Guard Media will allow us the fullest measure of our revelries.

In his speech, Obama neglected to mention that intelligence gathered at Gitmo by use of waterboarding was the key to locating bin Ladin. He neglected to mention that he had opposed the operations at Gitmo, and the use of waterboarding. But, at least he authorized the operation that finally got bin Ladin. That's more than Clinton did. Clinton saved bin Ladin on two occasions by not authorizing operations. So, as a terrorism-fighter, Obama beats Clinton by far. However, as a terrorism-fighter who objected to the operations which led to the location of bin Ladin, Obama has proved how wrong he was, and how right Bush was. Once again, Obama has reverted to the Bush policies that he opposed in his campaign for change. And, once again, the media, which could never find good words for Bush, is extolling Obama's qualities as a leader. So, what matters is not what is done. What matters is, who has done it.
