(continued comment, part 3)

It is crucial that people speak out against this absurd "right" to violate rights. I admire the people who put their careers, friendships, and even lives on the line to say what needs to be said in this regard. But I do have a concern that there is in fact bias against Muslims and Arabs that is fueled by bigotry and hate, and is devoid of critical thinking bthe fee who do think critically on these matters don't condemn this bigotry- not that I've seen anyway. Instead I often see it freely expressed on comments following critical articles, without challenge except by the Jew and Israel haters. I think those critical of Islamic oppression would gain more legitimacy with liberals if the distinction was consistently made clear, and racism against Muslims and Arabs was clearly denounced. Even more importantly, this might make women and men within Muslim culture feel more safe in adopting some critical perspectives, knowing that those who are critical of oppression are also intolerant of all forms of racism. I think the victim card is way overplayed by much of The Muslim world, in hypocritical ways. But on the other hand, racism is real, and it would be helpful if those critical of Islamic oppression took strong stands against bigotry against Muslims and Arabs. This would make the false victim card harder to play, wouldn't it?

(continued comment)

It is also ironic that the US regulates womens actual free expression in garb by making it illegal for women to take off our shirts as men are allowed to do. I remember back in the 80s when feminists made very clear arguments against the trivialization of this law, startiing with the point that if it is no big deal to make women wear shirts, then require the same of men. They are not required to cover their secondary sex characteristics, but women are. Society finds this perfectly reasonable to constrain female choice in this way, but considers it a violation of a woman's choice to not walk in a fabric coffin, when no human being, given actual choice, would choose to live this way, day after day, in all weather. Why do we tolerate these hypocrisies? Because women's rights are not taken very seriously, in this country as elsewhere, and because criticism of oppressive forms of Islam is called oppression.

I recently moved to a city and neighborhood in Philly where for the first time I am seeing women wearing full face and body covering burkas. It is chilling to me, because this cannot be based in free will -- the context for a burka-covered woman's expression of free will in this subculture simply isn't there. The coercion is many layered, and since the religion is essentially the state, it is state sanctioned, and enforced by that sect of the religion. It is also chilling to me that I can't do anything about what is clearly (to me) a violation of basic human rights, the burka both a symbol of the extent that the women's rights are violated, and a fundamental violation in itself - life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. More fundamentally, the right to see and be seen, the freedom to interact with other souls on this earth, the right to breathe air without hindrance. The men face no consequences, not even a fine, for forcing the women to limit their lives in this way. The US does nothing to object, that would be discrimination. Talk about Orwellian.

Leftists in American schools have been breeding spineless whimps, manless men and
womanless women, droids who are vacuous and unable to understand life outside of
fun time. Those who escape the leftist mental trap and are schooled by parents that know
how to fulfill their responibility to educate and prepare their kids for life are the core of our
future. The fact that you continue to write of our peril and shed light on the enormity of
the problems of Islam and the empowerment by their paid for leftist henchmen gives
hope and the needed facts to protect our identity and save the next generation. It would
be wise of those who are truly educating our posterity to give you and your group a
prominent place in their daily curriculum

I have hope for your success in the ongoing battle of truth against the dark forces of evil.
