While Prime Minister Stephen Harper has condemned the unfavorable branding of Israel as an apartheid state, along with Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff, Canadians for Justice and Peace has hosted Norman Finkelstein who has declared his support for the terrorist organizations–Hezbollah and Hamas. The CJPME has also featured Israeli Occupation on Trial, and a photo exhibit, Human Drama in Gaza. Yet the CJPME ignores the true racial apartheid existing in the Arab world where blacks are regarded as inferiors and the slave trade is still thriving.
I only hope that the YWCA, and other institutions will be as open to a presentation such as The Palestinian Wall of Lies, a fine project by David Horowitz and the Freedom Center which points out some disturbing realities:
- That the head of Hezbollah said he hopes all Jews will be gathered so he doesn’t have to hunt “us” down globally.
- That founder of Hamas, Mahmoud Al-Zahar, said: “There is no place for you Jews among us. And you have no future among the nations of the world. You are headed for annihilation.” Indeed the Hamas charter proclaims that Israel will exist and continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it.
- That between Hamas and Hezbollah, tens of thousands of daily rocket fire have rained down on Israel.
It is clear that Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle-East is anything but. The group is little more than a front for the Muslim Brotherhood under which Hamas and Hezbollah fall. Yet this is only one group; there are many that continue to flourish and infiltrate our Western Institutions using a range of tactics—from fear to sympathy.
