intends to play a constructive role in a democratic political system
Israel, not the Muslim Brotherhood, is “the main stumbling block,” he said. Along with Fox News, of course.
I’m guessing, therefore, that Soros was cheered by the speech delivered last Friday in Cairo by the Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual inspiration, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, whom had returned to Egypt from exile for the occasion. Al-Qaradawi thrilled a million adoring people with his call for an open, democratic society in Egypt – music to Soros’ ears. Also, just like George Soros, al-Qaradawi sees Israel as the main stumbling block to peace. So he asked the Egyptian army to pray for the re-conquest of Jerusalem by the Muslims.
Al-Qaradawi was evidently holding back his true feelings in his Cairo speech. After all, this is the very same Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader whom has lauded Islam and sharia law as the only valid system for governing mankind. He despises the very idea of a secular democracy. And he is the same Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader whom had once called the Holocaust a divine punishment of Jews “for their corruption” and prayed for the opportunity to kill Jews himself before his death:
The only thing that I hope for is that as my life approaches its end, Allah will give me an opportunity to go to the land of Jihad and resistance, even if in a wheelchair. I will shoot Allah’s enemies, the Jews, and they will throw a bomb at me, and thus, I will seal my life with martyrdom. Praise be to Allah.
What’s more, the Muslim Brotherhood itself saw eye to eye with the Nazis back in the day when Hitler was busy killing the Jews. As the Muslim Brotherhood’s political and military alliance with Nazi Germany developed, there were formal state visits, de facto ambassadors, and overt as well as sub rosa joint ventures.
But George Soros, who often cites his own childhood experiences in Nazi-occupied Hungary for lessons on democracy, seems to have overlooked the Muslim Brotherhood’s shady past and the fact that its spiritual leader today wants to continue Hitler’s kill-the-Jews legacy. Instead, Soros’ experience with Nazis taught him that Fox News is the real enemy of democracy.
As Soros put it in his CNN interview last Sunday with Fareed Zakaria:
Well, look, Fox News makes a habit — it has imported the methods of George Orwell, you know, newspeak, where you can tell the people falsehoods and deceive them. And you wouldn’t believe that an open society and a democracy, these methods can succeed. But, actually, they did succeed. They succeeded in — in Germany, where the Weimar Republic collapsed and you had a Nazi regime follow it. So this is a very, very dangerous way of deceiving people. And I would like people to be aware that they are being deceived. Now, I — because I saw it as a child, I immediately react that way. But the people in America, they are innocent. They haven’t had the experience. They’re having the experience now. And I hope they wake up and they realize that they are being deceived.
The American people understand all too well that George Soros is willing to contribute millions of dollars to his shadow network of progressive groups like Media Matters and Moveon.org in order to suppress free speech in the United States, while serving as a useful idiot to the truly Nazi-like Muslim Brotherhood.
