Maoists in Madison?

Former Obama White House propagandist Anita Dunn must be super duper proud. Some of her people are on the ground in Madison, Wisconsin, trying to thwart the democratically expressed will of the people of Wisconsin who demand that their state return to fiscal sanity. (More on the union goons versus Tea Party supporters in Madison here.) Dunn is the former Obama functionary who professed her admiration for Mao Zedong — then claimed it was all one big joke.

Hardy har har.

Those Maoists are funny little people — until they gain real political power. Like when the self-described “communist” and “rowdy black nationalist” Van Jones managed to find his way into the Obama White House as the administration’s green jobs czar. Now he spreads a Maoist message of anti-American hate and bigotry from his George Soros-funded perch at the leftist public relations firm known as the Center for American Progress.

Here are some Chicago-based Maoists who belong to the Revolutionary Communist Party showing up to support the fat cat union bosses class struggle in Madison:

It doesn’t really matter how many Maoists show up at a protest because they always seem to contribute disproportionately to the chaos there.

And they’re being cheered on by the nation’s foremost communist anarchist, Noam Chomsky. Chomsky told Democracy Now! that he hopes the protests begin to resemble the violent protests in Egypt. “It was heartening to see that there are tens of thousands of people protesting in Madison day after day in fact. I mean that’s the beginning maybe of what we really need here, a democracy uprising. Democracy’s almost been eviscerated.”

Except that in Madison the leftists and union thugs are trying to prevent the new Republican governor Scott Walker from moving forward with fixing the state’s finances. If you support democracy you have to let Walker do his job. Even Time magazine’s Joe Klein, usually a reliable member of the leftist echo chamber, agrees that the left is on the wrong side in this case:

Revolutions everywhere–in the middle east, in the middle west. But there is a difference: in the middle east, the protesters are marching for democracy; in the middle west, they’re protesting against it. I mean, Isn’t it, well, a bit ironic that the protesters in Madison, blocking the state senate chamber, are chanting “Freedom, Democracy, Union” while trying to prevent a vote? Isn’t it ironic that the Democratic Senators have fled the democratic process? Isn’t it interesting that some of those who–rightly–protest the assorted Republican efforts to stymie majority rule in the U.S. Senate are celebrating the Democratic efforts to stymie the same in  the Wisconsin Senate?

As I’ve written before, leftist radicals don’t believe in democracy in the way the term is used in America. If they win, it’s democracy in action. If they lose, democracy has been undermined.
