Over the course of the weekend we were able to get a lot of great interviews. The most surprising person that we got to talk to at CPAC was Academy Award winning actor, Richard Dreyfuss.
Dreyfuss was there to promote his new project–the Dreyfuss Initiative. It is his goal to bring civics classes back to public schools. Part of the Dreyfuss Initiative’s mission is:
To teach our kids how to run our country with common sense and realism, before it’s time for them to run the country. If we don’t, someone else will run this country nation and the experiment of government by, for, and of the people will have failed.
But in the course of telling everyone in the CPAC Bloggers Lounge about the Dreyfuss Initiative, something sinister happened. Richard Dreyfuss stole my Coca-Cola.
Let me paint the picture for you. My friend Duane Lester of All American Blogger was sitting next to me. He asked me to move so Mr. Dreyfuss could sit in my seat–to be interviewed by Mr. Lester.
In the process of getting the hell out of the way, I forgot my soda. Here is a picture of me enjoying my Coke 10 minutes prior to SodaGate.
After Duane interviewed Mr. Dreyfuss about restoring civics classes to high schools, the actor grabbed my Coke and departed. Not only was I left in a state of shock–but also with a powerful thirst.
Mr. Lester videotaped Dreyfuss with my soda. While the whole video is not available, I present frame 71 of the LesterPruder film which shows Mr. Dreyfuss holding a half empty bottle of Coke.
He stood there and mocked me with my pop. He waved it back–and to the left, back–and to the left, back–and to the left, back–and to the left.
Civics? Have you no decency sir?!?
How dare you talk civics while drinking my Coke??? Sir!!!
Some would say that this was an honest mistake. I say if you think it was a mistake, you are a fool. This scandal goes much deeper than Richard Dreyfuss and Fingers Malloy.
The question really is: Was SodaGate a plot developed 3 years ago by Halliburton and this woman?
Will we ever know the real truth behind SodaGate?
Was it the mob?
Could the Cubans be responsible?
We may never know. We may never know…
