It’s really hard to think of anyone with a public forum who is dumber– and louder and prouder about it– than Joy Behar, the woman who calls Sarah Palin stupid, then wonders if calling the day after Thanksgiving “Black Friday” is racist.

Behar’s latest Tweet takes historical illiteracy to new heights:

“Wishing the Egyptian people good luck as they attempt to bring their country back to its original glory.”

To paraphrase Indiana Jones:  Didn’t you EVER go to Sunday School?  Failing that, did nothing from annual airings of The Ten Commandments sink in?

So, Joy, is your desire for Egypt to return to a slave-based economy limited to enslaving Jews, or are you a more equal opportunity idiot?

Behar's glory days?

Everyone (except Behar apparently) knows the story of the Jews enslaved in Egypt until Moses led them away from Pharoah’s bondage.

But Jews are only the most famous slaves of the “original” glorious Egyptians, because they were the only ones with a literate recorded history.  At its height, Egypt was an expansionist empire that enslaved any and every people it was able to overrun.

In fact, while I am sure Behar thinks that only Americans in the South enslaved Africans, one of the most convenient sources of slave labor for Pharoahs– even before their “glory” days, was to raid south and pillage the African tribespeople.

Whenever a Tea Party spokesman invokes the Founding Fathers or the Constitution lately, the rejoinder from the professional Left is that this must be a longing for a return to slavery.

Well, now one of theirs is openly cheering for a return to those “glory days.”

The day before, this braying example of Palin Derangement Syndrome tweeted:

Let us imagine Sarah Palin dealing with Egypt right now.

Okay, but I’m still imagining Barack Obama actually dealing with Egypt right now.
