Finally someone created a hilarious fake commercial to mock the extreme-left Nation magazine for raising money by selling products that glorify communist murderers such as Che Guevara and Leon Trotsky.
I recommend “The Progressive Gift Shop” video on YouTube by Les Clay. It mocks the Nation, home of the pro-violence Marxist agitator Frances Fox Piven, which teamed up last year with the Unemployed Philosophers’ Guild to create merchandise that celebrated psychotic mass murderers. The offering came just in time for Christmas after the Nation put up figurines of two of its heroes for sale: Noam Chomsky and the late communist historian Howard Zinn. (See previous blog post on commie action figures.) Souvenirs were also available that celebrated Karl Marx, the intellectual father of political movements that to date have more than a hundred million people.
Now the Unemployed Dictators’ Guild is presenting Social Justice All Stars trading cards. “But be sure not to collect them all or that’ll make you a greedy capitalist and we’ll just redistribute half of your cards,” says the video’s narrator. My favorite is Van Jones as the Jolly Green Giant. Jones is a self-described communist who is masterminding the “green jobs” scam from his perch at John Podesta‘s Center for American Progress.
There’s also the Mao Zedong political philosopher pills — available in lead and cadmium flavors.
Isn’t it refreshing to see someone on the right doing a bang-up job making fun of the Left? The video is brilliant.
Oh, and don’t forget the Robespierre action figure. The packaging contains one of the bloodthirsty French revolutionary’s most chilling quotes: “Terror is only justice.” While the toy is shown complete with a head-chopping axe the narrator says, “Your toddler will have hours of fun with the rascally revolutionary as he bashes the bourgeois[ie] as he breaks the bank.”
“Dictators are standing by.”
