1. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
It may appear I’m covering the same topic as number two with this one, but I’m not. My point with this passage is not simply that homosexuality is clearly shown to be a sin in the Bible. My point is that any sexual sin, like all other sins, are forgivable and God can change our heart and habits. Most people would take that as a positive, but the Left hates such a claim.
They may call themselves progressives, but lefties don’t believe people need to grow and change. You should find a reason you are a victim and then milk it for all you can get. That includes homosexuality. If you are gay then you are a minority, a victim, and in need of government intervention and special rights. And the ultimate evil would be for me to say you could leave that lifestyle.
It is considered the norm to tell someone dealing with same-sex desires to explore them and give into whatever desires you have. Even kids are given that advice today. But none of us should be told to pursue any and all passions. Some desires are harmful and sinful. Does anyone married think their spouse should give in to any and every desire?
1 Corinthians 6 is wonderful because it sends an opposite message than the Left. You don’t have to stay where you are. God’s grace can save us, change us, and put us on the path of true freedom. We can become different than what we are, and that’s often a good thing – even if the Left hates it.
