It will strike fear in the hearts of limp-wristed leftists everywhere.  Hundreds – perhaps thousands – of gays are arming themselves.  We are coming, and we are more dangerous than gays have ever been before.  Some of us, who are among those most commonly targeted for violence, are waking up to the fact that innocent citizens must protect themselves.

Gays and lesbians are among those in this country most likely to be preyed upon in our culture of violence.  Those of us who have left the leeks and fleshpots of the Left to gravitate to the political Right were not willing to be the neutered house-pets of those who wanted to coddle us.  Our self-appointed protectors on the Left would disarm and disempower everyone else for the sake of protecting us.  The problem, of course, is that in order to remain helpless enough to need their help, we must be as neutered as the rest of America.

Progressive blogger Amanda Marcotte, pagan goddess of feminist enlightenment, considers herself a champion of women and gays.  I keep hearing that lesbians “hate” men, but I have never read anybody so fixated with the mythic malice of all things male.  It is not merely guns her crowd would protect us from, but heterosexual men themselves, and all their works and ways.  In her mind straight guys with guns are the source of all evil.

Amanda believes that phallus-worship is the root of America’s fascination with guns. She explains:

The candidates for the Republican National Committee chairmanship – a race just concluded on Friday – were having a debate marked by frustratingly silly questions, but one of the silliest moments had to be when Grover Norquist asked, “How many guns do you own?”

If the asking of the question itself didn’t suffice as evidence that guns have ceased to be weapons and tools and become, instead, objects of worship on the right, the answers to the question put any lingering doubts to rest. Ironically, a woman, Ann Wagner, “won” this mystical phallic power competition by having 16 guns.

How unwomanly! And Amanda knows how women should be womanly.  Just as she would lecture gays on how to be good little queers.  She continues:

For those conservatives who scoff when liberals suggest that sometimes a gun is more than a cigar, I would like to note candidate Saul Anuzi tacitly conceded the point, describing himself as “inadequate” – having only four. The rhetorical difference between guns and inches collapsed yet again in conservative circles.

Amanda Marcotte has problems, and as she’s straight, I doubt gay people caused them.  She warns of a “worshipful atmosphere around guns,” clearly “totemic” in origin.  This sort of aggressively-castrating psycho-drivel may well explain why so many straight men think gays are dangerous.

Many conservatives still tell themselves silly things about gays.  That we can’t, or won’t, fight.  That we only want to be “celebrated” or “validated.”  That we are all oblivious to the threat from the leftist-coddled advancers of Islam and creeping sharia law.  That we should be content to think God hates us and will send us to Hell, or that we have never read the Bible for ourselves.
