3. Racism
As with feminism we have allowed the Left to take control of the narrative and dutifully take on the role as a cult of quasi-racists who are uncomfortable with racial or ethnic diversity.Yet the history of Western civilization is one in which peoples expanded into the world, met other peoples, and often absorbed them. White supremacist philosophy is a product of the 19th and 20th century Left and racist groups remain anti-Republican, anti-American and in the case of groups like the Aryan Nations, allied with Muslim terror groups and communist insurgencies.
Yet we continue to associate with neo-confederates and “southern nationalists” who are one step removed from Klansmen. I still run into people who defend the Council of Conservative Citizens, a racist Falangist group that not only openly supports racist beliefs but maintains links to White Nationalist sites on its Web page. Some of the Internet’s most popular “conservatives” are members of neo-Confederacy groups and the radical Libertarian fringe, exemplified by sites like LewRockwell.com, are so openly anti-Semitic and racist that they are supported by National Socialists and Islamists.
I would expect conservatives to understand the dangers of associating with these seditious and near criminal elements. I would especially expect social conservatives to speak out against the immorality of these groups. The Christian god is universal, thus the Christian (one would assume) believes in the universal brotherhood of mankind. They are not alone. Jews, Hindus, Sikhs and most other religions you find in America believe the same thing.
Racism is evil, it strips individuals of their right to be known by their achievements or failures. This is at the core of the Western experience, and especially the American experience, that we all make ourselves into what we will and not what others think we should be. We have free will and the Liberty to use it to pursue our happiness. Racism is the antithesis of that, it is the desire to separate and destroy in a society that should be brought together by our common love of freedom.
Even now the League of the South is selling a book that calls for the overthrow of the United States by White Nationalists. Are we defending the West and America when we don’t speak out against this?
