Interesting analysis by Megan Fox:

Top 10 Reasons to Hate Sarah Palin

I like her conclusion:

Whatever the reasons, it’s a certainty that no other woman has ever been hated as much as Sarah Palin in modern history. Her remarkable ability to rise above it and even laugh at it is a lesson we could all use and more than enough proof to me that she has what it takes to stare down opposition and any challenge you can throw at her. I’ve always been a fan, but the more I get to know her, the more certain I am that Sarah is the next best thing since Ronald Reagan. Her uncanny ability to make leftists writhe with anger and hatred (and dare I say fear) warms my insides. I could definitely stand to see her do that to them for eight years from the inside of the White House. Here’s to hoping the Oval Office gets a new rug soon (a bear rug.)

  • Thank you, I'm happy to have found you Megan. I got here by way of Hot Air, which linked another blog {forgot already ;-<} where I saw your link and a summation that intrigued me.

    I read a lot, and wasn't blowing smoke – I usually just skim stuff to get the gist – but your article clearly defined what I've observed but was unable to put together.

    I commented elsewhere last year that the more the left derides and attempts to dismiss her as "serious" the more it makes me ask where is the dang fire?!?

    Her show is liked by my guys {who are not interested in politics in the least} and my husband has begun to question the negativity about her too because he hunts, fishes, is responsible and sensible and sees those attributes in her.

    As to permissive social policy affecting economic policy, I'm almost 50, so I've observed and even benefited – I joined the USN in 1980 and everything but submarines were a possibility – So I am aware there WAS a need for some of it, but like Affirmative Action, business/society/etc. caught up so it's become nothing more than a way to create an unlevel playing field!

    Ironic, when you consider leftist ideology is all about creating a level playing field!

    I could go on – just ask my husband!

  • This was excellent – I actually read the whole thing {high praise}

    I reacted with laughter when Sarah was picked as McCain's VP running mate because I figured it would incense the left.

    I knew Obama would win early on by the kid glove treatment he was getting, but I hoped I was wrong. If the Hillary voters *truly* believed the tenets they profess, they would have voted for Sarah. I think the left knew this so the talking point became "It's a cynical ploy to get the disgruntled Hilary vote".

    I thought there they go again, projecting – they must really think *everyone* plays identity politics!

    Considering I was never religious, and never voted until last November, Sarah went from being interesting as a thorn in the side of the left to being a real force for the right and I no longer view her as a "personality" but as a serious person I can identify with and she {ie the Tea Party} is WHY I voted.

    I'm starting to see the right was correct that lax/permissive social policy does affect economic policy and I know I'm not alone!!!
