Do sex offenders have constitutional rights to celebrate Halloween?  Civil rights attorneys and activists say yes.  What do American parents think about child rapists handing out candy to innocent children, who may become the next fixation for violent criminals?  Who deserves constitutional rights, children or thieves of childhood innocence?  And, is this really a constitutional issue about amendment rights, or another left-wing legal con job keeping child molesters out of prison and among civilized society, where molesters risk innocent lives daily?

Salon’s Tracy Clark-Flory recently reported on a California county that has banned Halloween to sex offenders.   This has civil rights activists and attorneys up in arms.  California, as well as other states, like Florida, are said to be violating the rights of child violators.

Flory says:

Sex offenders are the clearest bad guys we have.  They are just the kind of person we imagine would hurt a child—because, of course, they have.

Flory questions if such a ban on sex offenders is in fact a violation of their First Amendment rights.

Perhaps the moment “offenders” violated a child’s body, and, in many cases, murdered children, they deserved to lose First Amendment rights to speak to and assemble freely with children.  They have, after all, violated the Fourth Amendment right of the child to be “secure in their persons” so what right do child rapists have to assemble freely with children on Halloween?

CBS News says, “It seems like a good idea [to ban molesters from Halloween], but is it legal?”  It seems like a good idea in the minds of pedophiles who contemplate raping children, but is it legal and humane to rape children?

The question should be how to protect children from violent criminals released by activist judges who believe free society is rehab.  Sex offenders have proven, year-after-year, that they do not stop raping children, rather, they continue raping and then, as seen too many times, murder: 1, 2, 3, 4

Instead of looking at the real concern—child rapists—civil rights activists demand constitutional rights for violent criminals.  Others go so far as to claim making pedophiles register with local authorities causes them to hide, thus it’s better they don’t register when released from prison.

The government says it has the right to know what books Americans read, and is trying to force Americans to purchase government-funded healthcare, yet, activists, who claim to worry about infringements on personal rights, consider it unconstitutional to keep watch on pedophiles.

Civil rights attorneys claim California, and other states enacting laws such as Megan’s Law, are infringing on the rights of violent criminals.  Which is why so many child molesters are set free and living among innocent children, they can, at any time, immorally abuse.  Child rapists never stop after one rape unless caught and imprisonedChild molesters never lose the desire to sexually assault children.  So why should they be allowed to welcome children, whom they sexually crave, to their homes on Halloween, or any other time of year?

Flory followed up last week’s column with a new column that says pedophiles are not a threat, yet “Police are gearing up for similar crackdowns across Tennessee and Virginia, where they officially refer to it as Operation Trick No Treat and Operation Porch Lights Out (for serious).”

Richmond, Virginia’s Department of Corrections Spokesperson told the press: “The purpose of the operation is to both protect and remove a high-risk population from the community during a time when … children could be vulnerable.”

Flory’s reply to the Virginia DOC is to ask:
