Is there a more prominent, important digital battlefield online than wikipedia?

There might be but it’s difficult to think of it. Where else is the common space that is supposed to be a “neutral,” “objective” definition of reality free of left or right-leaning bias? It’s supposed to be Wikipedia but everyone knows that it isn’t.

The so-called liberal bias of Wikipedia is well known. NRB‘s Nichole Hungerford documented several examples in her “WikiLies: My 5 Favorite Wikipedia Distortions” post.

Today, I’d like to focus on the Wikipedia entries of several prominent critics of Islamic fascism so you can see the techniques used by wikipedia editors to smear.

I’ll be going from some of the mildest attacks to one of the most biased profiles available.
