7. We’re Greedy For Wanting To Manage Our Own Financial Futures
One way to duck the heat for out-of-control spending is to blame it on someone else. Enter the Wall Street Financial Reform Act, because capitalism just plain sucks when you’re trying to destroy the economy. Or maybe I’m being cynical. Frank Dodd and Barney Frank—co-sponsors of the bill have proven themselves so above us when it comes to er, financial fitness. These elitists keep telling us that to help Main Street, they must punish regulate Wall Street. Up until a couple of years ago, a majority of Americans were invested in Wall Street with their retirements, much of which is now gone. So apparently Americans who opposed the Wall Street law just don’t know what’s good for them.
That’s funny, since they were the ones who earned it.
