Delaware voters have spoken and have elected conservative Christine O’Donnell to be the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in the Liberty and Independence State. As the people rise up to take their government back, however, the leftist Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington [CREW] – a group heavily funded by multi-billionaire and unofficial owner of the Democratic PartyGeorge Soros – has pledged to target O’Donnell. They ironically demand that the Federal Election Commission investigate her campaign funding. As Soros stands to gain potentially billions in revenue from Cap and Trade, a pledge to vote against the legislation is a top priority for O’Donnell. How far will Soros’ minions go to prevent her election?

In a November, 2008 interview with Spiegel, Soros indicated that he wanted a stimulus package and Cap and Trade from which he fully expects revenues.

“I think we need a large stimulus package which will provide funds for state and local government to maintain their budgets — because they are not allowed by the constitution to run a deficit. For such a program to be successful, the federal government would need to provide hundreds of billions of dollars. In addition, another infrastructure program is necessary. In total, the cost would be in the 300 to 600 billion dollar range [in addition to the $700 billion bailout which the government already had given to the financial industry]…. I think this is a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights. I would use the revenues from these auctions to launch a new, environmentally friendly energy policy. That would be yet another federal program that could help us to overcome the current stagnation.”

Of course, his candidate, Barack Obama, delivered both forthwith, but the Cap and Trade legislation still hangs in the balance in Congress. Christine O’Donnell may be the only thing standing in Soros‘ way. As such, it’s hard to imagine a more important race.

“What separates this race from every other US Senate race is that the winner will be seated on November 3rd, rather than in January with the rest of the Senator-elects,” said Christine O’Donnell. “That fact alone makes this race arguably the most important Senate race in 2010.”

“Passing Cap and Trade would throw sand into the gears of the American economy,” said Christine O’Donnell. “It would cripple our already struggling markets, taxing goods and services at every point of production and consumption. This bill would kill jobs and drive up prices on everything from peanuts to gasoline.”

Clearly this would be quite a wrench in the works for Soros. CREW, the group now targeting O’Donnell, is funded by Soros through his Open Society Institute and Democracy Alliance. How fitting that Delaware, the Liberty and Independence State, is now tasked with determining what is genuine liberty and independence, and what is corruption in the halls of power as they make this landmark vote. It’s not merely Republican versus Democrat now. It’s clearly already become a battle between Christine O’Donnell and the George Soros Network.
