The Devil Made Me Do It



We laughed when Flip Wilson said it (yes, I’m old enough to have watched it live on TV) because the tongue-in-cheek catch phrase echoed something we knew to be true in our hearts. We knew we were responsible for our own choices, but when the Leftist culture told us moral relativism was the way to go (after destroying those aforementioned boundaries), we couldn’t resist the temptation.

A lack of a moral compass makes it difficult to discern religious movements. From Jonestown to Radical Islam, being uninformed on spiritual matters makes a person open to all forms of persuasion and ‘tolerance‘ without regard to right or wrong. Now we have to fight the ACLU to put up a Nativity in front of a church.

Just like there’s a design in human nature, in the family, and in the the structure of society, we have consciences. We’ve listen to the Left and to Madison Avenue, when deep down, knew it was all a lie. If we’re honest with ourselves we can acknowledge the so-called revolution of the 60s was nothing more than a giant self-indulgent hissy fit—and a complete failure. It’s time to grow up and align ourselves with what we know is right.

Who knows, we might just like it a whole better than the alternative. Your brain cells, your naughty bits, and your soul with thank you.

So in the words of Austin Powers: Oh, behave!
