Great article! Just a quick comment (mainly because I'm a math dweeb, and somewhat understand the metric system): you wrote, "If we knew that Polanski was sitting in a cell approximately 10 miles away (we refuse to use your ridiculous metric system, and are sticking with miles) we’d be absolutely thrilled." The quote mentioned just prior to your comment said 5km was the distance – that works out to about 3 miles.

That might be even more thrilling…I'd settle for him to be in prison at any distance.

Bear, the fundamental/core philosophy of Progressives (Newspeak-communists) is that they possess a superior intellect and knowledge of "global" issues. This belief places them in the position of a narcissistic need to correct and guide your life for you since you are one of the "little people" and are incapable of self direction and decisions for yourself and family. This should make you feel so warm and fuzzy that someone (Hollywood) so removed from the realities of life has the time and desire to intervene and save you from yourself. The words narcissism and sociopathic aptly describe most of these loony-Lefties/Progressives of Hollywood. Marxism for thee, but not for me is the thought process exhibited by M.Moore, Modine, Saradan, Garafalo, etc.

I have a question for everybody out there that makes comments here, and I am going to do something that might make some people "MAD" at me, and that is leave my e-mail address with my comment. Why in the name of God Almighty do the "IDIOTS" out in Holly-Weird think that we believe that they are anything but fools, and that they think that they know what they are actually saying. One big examlpe of this is—Bill Maher's show on HBO-(SIDE-NOTE HERE HIS SHOW IS A JOKE)-Any how he always had on some IDIOT from Holly-Weird on his show for some time during the Bush White House, and they always got called—WHAT WAS IT? Oh yea a advocate, or something like that. Why question is—WHY?, AND IF THEY ARE SOME KIND OF SPECIAL PERSON WHY ARE THEY MAKING MOVIES, AND NOT WORKING IN THE PRIVATE WORLD, TRYING OT MAKE A DIFFERENCE THERE.
