“This is a selective prosecution by you…smacks of a witch hunt here.” – O’Reilly

Weiner defended his assault on Beck’s advertisers by claiming Weiner’s only focusing on Goldline because they just happen to be the biggest.  When asked about the A+ rating by the BBB, Weiner responded with claims that the BBB rating was bought by Goldline.  Clearly the congressman is willing to attack other groups if they get in the way of his witch hunt on conservatives.

Weiner is not only targeting Beck with his onslaught, but his report on Goldline also mentions Fred Thompson, Dennis Miller, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Lars Larson, Michael Smerconish, Monica Crowley and Mike Huckabee.  Obviously Mr. Weiner thinks he can take a huge bite out of a large group of conservative on air personalities.  And isn’t it wonderful how he is using our tax dollars in this recession to do it?

Anyone with half a brain sees what Congressman Weiner is doing.  He is trying to attack the credibility and audience of on air folks by focusing on their sponsors.  Everyone knows the real way to bring people and companies down is by hurting their bottom line.  Since the government, so far, hasn’t figured out how to silence conservative commentators, the plan now is to try to break them.  All Beck’s show has to survive on is advertiser dollars, while Weiner and Congress have every tax dollar they can grab.
