Musicians, like pretty much all other artists, tend to lean to the Left side of the political spectrum. It’s no secret that the music industry has had a long history of progressives who are vocal about their politics. From Pete Seeger to John Lennon to Bruce Springsteen to the Dixie Chicks, leftist rock stars have been loud and proud when it comes to their views.

What’s encouraging is that there’s a cadre of personalities in the music industry who lean to the Right, and some of them even have the words and deeds to back their views up. Do an internet search for “conservative musicians” or some similar phrase, and you’ll come across some lengthy lists of names. However, most of these lists don’t have evidence to back up their claims.

I love this list! Some of them were unexpected, but cool to know.

It was a fun list to research and compile. I could've gone further and further with it.

You could add Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti to the list. He's a well known Republican who has an American flag on his guitar case.

Must not forget John Rich, he has been very open about his Conservative views

I met Skunk while I was working one day at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard….one of the subs missile systems was being updated, I was working that project….I turn a corner and BAM! The Skunkster had his 'yard badge listed as his real name. I was going to ask for an autograph, simply because I'm a huge Steely Dan fan, but it was his last day there, so I didn't have the chance. Oh well, we still have lots of subs and aircraft carriers to work on, I'm sure I'll see him again eventually!
