For starters, as America engages in its War on Terror, Obama has supported the abhorrently insensitive Ground Zero mosque while willfully ignoring the menacing and relevant background of the Imam behind it. He has banned words like “Jihad” and “Islamic extremism” that openly identify the threats, refused to identify the Fort Hood massacre as a case of terrorism after Nidal Hasan hollered “Allahu Akbar” before snuffing out 13 lives and injuring scores of others. Obama bowed to the Saudi King, snubbed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu on a visit to the White House, and endeavors to reduce America’s nuclear capabilities. To think that anyone would question why Rush Limbaugh might refer to Obama as “probably the best anti-American President we’ve ever had.” Limbaugh was kind to include the word “probably.”
Funny how Krugman even spun Bush as the good guy to serve his cause, an unsurprising tactic for a leftist:
To take a prime example: the hysteria over the proposed Islamic center in lower Manhattan almost makes one long for the days when former President George W. Bush tried to soothe religious hatred, declaring Islam a religion of peace. There were good reasons for his position: there are a billion Muslims in the world, and America can’t afford to make all of them its enemies.
True in principle about the global Muslim population but hardly the denotation that Bush intended. Anyone recognizing the realities of Islamic radicalism and the declaration of jihad against the West would at least investigate the reputation of the developers behind the Ground Zero mosque. Tying Bush’s declaration about Islam as a religion of peace into the GZM is not only presumptuous; it is a downright wrong assumption to make. The Democrats are not the historic victims of Witch-Hunting season, it has been the Republicans. But now that Americans are starting to awaken to the reality of which party serves their best interests, Democrat supporters are nervous. Now they’re desperate to publicly and deceptively smear the Republican Party, its supporters and the Tea Party movement as midterm approaches.
