It turns out that Enright is affiliated with an outfit called Intercessions International, an inter-faith group that purports to promote “justice and peace” and has expressed support for the Cordoba Center. Enright’s association with Intercessions was dismissed by the Daily Newsarticle as merely “an odd twist,” while it was barely mentioned by ABC or CBS and completely ignored by Olbermann. Once again, so much for all that hate and bigotry on the right.
In the last half of August, we’ve seen two instances in which the media on the Left has gotten it all wrong, jumping to conclusions and conjecture in attempting to pin acts of savage, deplorable violence on the Right. Leftist journalists and writers believe that their side is too sophisticated and compassionate for such mayhem, so those yahoos on the Right must be responsible for those incidents of violence. When the Left rushed to pick up and wave around the smoking gun, they tend to wind up exposing their biases and leaving themselves wide open to ridicule. Live by the smoking gun; die by the smoking gun.
