5. Towering over Islam

This striking, sophisticated image was Bosch’s response to the Ground Zero mosque — a subject he was months ahead of the curve on. It’s an image of the Kaaba (the most sacred site in Islam) with a shadow of the twin towers above it, thus indicative of the West’s superiority.
