Eugene Robinson Accidentally Exposes the Left’s Lack of Respect for American Voters

Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

Eugene Robinson, columnist for the Washington Post, proves that conservatives are more than right (pun intended) when they accuse leftists of being anti-American. In his latest column for his newspaper, Robinson writes, reports Glenn Beck’s The Blaze website:

According to polls, Americans are in a mood to hold their breath until they turn blue. Voters appear to be so fed up with the Democrats that they’re ready to toss them out in favor of the Republicans — for whom, according to those same polls, the nation has even greater contempt. This isn’t an “electoral wave,” it’s a temper tantrum. …

In the punditry business, it’s considered bad form to question the essential wisdom of the American people. But at this point, it’s impossible to ignore the obvious: The American people are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats.

As The Blaze‘s Meredith Jessup adds and comments:

Robinson goes on to say that he’s not making a “partisan argument,” just pointing out Americans’ refusal to look seriously at the nation’s situation…”

Yeah, that doesn’t sound partisan at all.

No, not at all indeed.

Not only does Robinson serve as a prime example of the Left‘s lack of respect and appreciation for middle America, he’s also a great example of its arrogance. Leftists truly believe, in their hearts, that they are better than you are. They know what’s best for you, even if you don’t. They know how you should live your life, even if you disagree. They are smart, you are stupid (and bigoted).

Is it any wonder Democrats can look forward to a massive defeat come November?

Lastly, also be sure to read John Hawkins’ post on this matter.
