Parents are supposed to be a child’s first line of defense against dangerous predators. But in Denver, Colorado last March 90% of the parents at Bruce Randolph Middle School voted in favor of dispensing birth-control pills, emergency contraception and condoms to kids as young as eleven years old. It takes a lot of PR to suppress the maternal instinct, but never underestimate leftists’ propaganda capabilities.
In fact, the school’s transformation began when the Colorado Education Association hired Progressive Promotions, a PR and Communications firm run by Jenny Davies-Schley to assess Bruce Randolph in 2005. She’s a far left so-called liberal whose client list includes ACORN, Colorado ACLU, Planned Parenthood of Rocky Mountains, SEIU Local 105 and the Denver Public School Department of Psychological Services. She’s also political director of NARAL Pro-Choice of Colorado. Her husband, Charles just happens to be a psychologist in the Denver Public Schools, but not to worry: conflict of interest rules don’t apply to do-gooders like the Schleys.
Progressive Promotions was hired specifically to conduct an “extensive” study of the “strategies and tactics employed” at Bruce Randolph implemented by then Principal, Dr. Kristen Waters, who’s credited with turning the school around. By 2007 her reforms “led to significant improvement in academic performance.”
In the fall of 2007 Bruce Randolph School (BRS) became the first Denver school to gain autonomy from certain policies and provisions that guide other schools. The institution has been touted by the likes of Arne Duncan who visited in March, 2009 and former superintendent Michael Bennet who was named U.S. Senator by the governor after Obama appointed former Senator Ken Salazar as Secretary of the Interior. The current superintendent Tom Boasberg, whose father Tersh, worked under President Lyndon Johnson to implement his Great Society program, was the chief operating officer for the school district since 2007.
Both Bennet and Boasberg were investigated for their part in some shady bank dealings when they worked together so you see where this is going. Wherever there’s a pack of rabid progressive wolves who see “education as the civil rights issue” of the millenium look for the nearest minority populated and impoverished school. And that’s just what they did.
