Baldwin wants America devoid of Marxism, something all conservatives, Beck and Palin included, want severed. Baldwin, however, disbelieves the tea party movement can stop Marxists:
Ladies and gentlemen, America is in the throes of socialist and Marxist political upheaval. The curtain could fall at any time. The American people need to wake up to this truism: a ‘conservative’ movement–even a conservative Tea Party movement–will not save us. The only thing that will save us is an old-fashioned State revolt.
States are revolting; tea parties are fighting left-wing, over-spending legislation bankrupting America. Tea parties have done a fabulous job in less than two years.
Baldwin’s argument loses ground because he is an anti-Beck/Palin libertarian Christian trashing famous conservative hosts, who happen to be out-spoken Christians themselves, insisting they must step aside and let unknown grass-roots organizers lead the fight.
Would Chuck Baldwin make such claims if Ron Paul were hosting tea parties? Would Baldwin consider Paul a globalist influence of neocons if he headlined the Restoring Honor Rally?
If the tea party movement was led by Ron Paul, Baldwin would not whine:
As long as freedom lovers are content to remain satisfied with the status quo by allowing party politics and media celebrities to dominate their efforts, there will be no stopping this socialist avalanche that is crashing down upon us. The Tea Party movement of 2010 (if left free of Big-Government neocons) could certainly translate into positive developments this November; that is for sure. A revival of the ‘Ron Paul Revolution’ in 2012 could also make a significant contribution, but it is going to take a State revolution to seal the deal.
Dr. Baldwin needs to look closer: Tea Party rallies are not about Beck, Palin, or Ron Paul; tea partiers are anti-big government, they are not neocons. Famous faces are helping Americans fight for liberty. Tea parties never could have taken off without someone like Glenn Beck (whose TV show highlights the movement) and Governor Palin (the first female GOP VP candidate hosting rallies) encouraging Americans to fight.
That is just not radical enough for Chuck Baldwin.
Would the Libertarian-conservative Baptist Baldwin favor Armageddon? I hear that will be an all-out revolution of grand proportions to end all governments.
