Does Madame Speaker Pelosi need to look in the mirror? The San Francisco Congresswoman—funded heavily by union campaign money, is known as a staunch union supporter. She even won the (coveted?) Cesar Chavez Award from the United Farm Workers Union. Funny, her own Napa Valley Vineyard (worth a cool $25 mil) is a non-union shop. Well, maybe that’s just an oversight (after all, she is tight with co-swamp inhabitant Rangel). But then there’s her stake in the Auberge Du Soleil Resort (250 employees) and the Piatti restaurant chain with 900 employees…none of which are union. Doh!
Moral: Charity begins at home.
