Is Pelosi SURE she wants to shine the harsh light of reality on the opposition?

Hey! Did you know a group whose leader has dubious ties to radical Islamic groups, and who himself has said many iffy things about the attacks against the USA on 9/11 is planning on building a gigantic community center and mosque near Ground Zero? I bet you didn’t, because it’s been a big secret.

Likewise, “Red Eye” guests Kimberly Guilfoyle, Joe DeVito and Matt McCall were shocked – shocked, I tell you – when host Greg Gutfeld broke the news on the latest episode’s Greg-Alogue.

Totally related: check out how Norah O’Donnell, on MSNBC’s Morning Joe characterizes anyone who opposes the mosque.

“Somebody’s got to say that, ‘We’re not going to act like the people who stole freedom from Americans, the people who attacked America and killed 3,000 people.’”

So as I understand it – because I think it’s rude to build a mosque near Ground Zero, I’m just like the dude who left a crater downtown.

If she wasn’t so hot, I’d be pissed.

Meanwhile, Captain Angrypants Nancy Pelosi says she wants to investigate those who are against the building of the mosque.

How funny is it she’d rather look at that “funding,” rather than the funding behind the mosque. I guess, in Pelosi’s pinball eyes, the real bad guy is the average American who finds the mosque distasteful.

Sorry. I stretched sarcasm to an outrageous degree during the opening paragraphs, but I just assumed that’s what everyone was doing. I mean, the survivors of 9/11 and the families of the victims, many of whom oppose the mosque, are just like the people who hijacked planes and flew them into the Twin Towers, killing thousands? Really?

Where to even begin with Nancy Pelosi wanting to investigate the funding behind the opposition to the Park51 project. As if it were some vast, right wing conspiracy, rather than just a very valid expression of free speech. Personally, I’m “funded” by a belief in American Exceptionalism and a sense of morality. Don’t tell Nancy though, she’s liable to try and tax them.

To be fair to the Speaker of the House, today she clarified her statements, saying the funding of the mosque should be looked into as well.

I support the statement made by the Interfaith Alliance that ‘We agree with the ADL that there is a need for transparency about who is funding the effort to build this Islamic center. At the same time, we should also ask who is funding the attacks against the construction of the center.

Ooh! She said the magic word: transparency. The healthcare process was going to be transparent, too, wasn’t it? Perhaps, tomorrow, Pelosi will clarify her clarification and tell us “we need to build the mosque to see who’s funding it.”

There’s a lot of “clarification” going on by the administration on the Ground Zero Mosque issue. First, Barack Obama supported it. Then he said he would never speak on the wisdom of building it. First, Pelosi is outraged by the opposition and says they should be investigated. Then, she said everyone should be investigated. When will someone mention “optics?”

Is this a new way the radical Left is attempting to stifle opposition? “Maybe,” they must think, “if we don’t actually have an opinion, it can’t be criticized.”

We’re not buying it. When the mosque was a “minor” issue, it was a local matter and the President wasn’t going to get involved. Now that a vast majority of Americans have come out against it, it’s time for Obama, Pelosi, et al. to tell us what we should really think.

We know what to think, and we’re all thinking it. Loudly.

I may not be able to see the Ground Zero crater from the Park51 building, but I can definitely see November from my house.
