James Cameron’s Oil Cleanup Plan Snubbed: “We Were Ignored Because I Was Involved”

Why are activist voices from Hollywood usually ignored? Because in most cases they do more harm than good. It is all too common for someone to become famous and then believe fame makes them an expert on everything forever. Of course, not everyone in Hollywood who has feelings about the oil spill is worth avoiding, only those who believe in “eco-terrorism.”

After all, the government didn’t appear to be listening to anyone after the spill occurred. President Obama turned down help that was offered from all over the country, even the world. Filmmaker James Cameron is only one of many who was ignored. However, not all voices from Hollywood were written off (see Kevin Costner). If Cameron was avoided for any reason it is because those who turned a deaf ear likely saw Avatar.
