You're buying what with my money?

I know our president probably doesn’t think $23 million is a lot of money.  Not only is he personally wealthy, but money means nothing when it’s America’s money.  Obama has shown a strong desire to fundamentally change America.  But now it appears he’s using our money to fundamentally change his father’s country too.

Historians say that many men, especially of importance, will either try to reject their father’s work or complete it.  Looks like Barack Hussein Obama II is very interested in Kenyan politics just like Barack Hussein Obama Senior was.  Maybe the president is trying to help the, as he called it, Dreams from My Father come true.

This past week the people of Kenya voted ‘yes’ to get a new constitution with 70% of the vote.  While there are some things in the new constitution most Americans would not have a problem with, there are two major changes that should alarm all of us.  It appears the Kenyan people will move from abortion only to protect a mother’s life to abortion on demand.  Moreover, the new national document will allow Sharia law courts (known as Khadi) for Muslims living in Kenya.

Why should US citizens get so upset about those changes in Kenya?  Because, thanks to Obama, we helped pay for it.  Last month Congressman Chris Smith (R – NJ) revealed to the press that $23 million of taxpayer dollars was sent through the Agency for International Development to Kenya for organizations supporting the new constitution to get out the ‘yes’ vote.  (For details on that story go here.)

US government donations labeled for “civic education” were distributed to all sorts of pro-constitution groups.  Many of them were for supporting abortion on demand.  The Kenyan Federation of Women Lawyers has ties to Planned Parenthood of America and works toward “increasing the availability of safe abortion services and supporting advocates to decriminalize abortion in the country.”  That pro-choice group (and others) were given money to get out the vote in Kenya.  That’s a problem since it is illegal to give money internationally towards supporting abortions.

“This is an administration that is very aggressive in promoting the killing of unborn children and the wounding of their mothers by way of abortion worldwide.” – Rep. Chris Smith
