Obamacare Labyrinth is A Healthcare Nightmare

Oh, the horror, the horror. Even Kevin Hassett from Bloomberg Businessweek calls Representative Kevin Brady’s (R-Texas) chart a “terrifying road map’”and “the economic equivalent of the Bay of Pigs invasion.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi addressed the Legislative Conference for National Association of Counties last March, two weeks before the Senate passed Obamacare. She referred to the centralized, socialized healthcare scheme as “legislation for the future.”
If Brady’s tortuous maze of “68 grant programs, 47 bureaucratic entities, 29 demonstration or pilot programs, six regulatory systems, six compliance standards and two entitlements” represents the future of American healthcare then a very different world awaits our children.
Anticipating the complexity of overlapping programs and systems, the authors of this leviathan added a nice little caveat- Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Donald Berwick, new director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS) have absolute authority in resolving any conflicts.
That doesn’t bode well. Just think about the myriad committees, the low-level government paper pushers, the red tape, insurance corporations and the various government agencies like the IRS and the Treasury Department unable to reach consensus. And who are the tie breakers? Kathleen ” pro partial-birth abortion ” Sebelius and Donald “death panel” Berwick . Obamacare could turn out to be a worse failure than the Bay of Pigs.
No wonder the White House communications assistant to the President, Stephanie Cutter, has been designated to sell the perks of Obamacare to senior citizens and to “explain” the benefits they’ll be receiving next year. They sure couldn’t figure it out from what Hassett calls the most “disorganized organizational chart ever.” Cutter’s airing cable ads featuring affable actor Andy Griffith at a cost of $700,000 from the taxpayer funded Medicare program to sell her product. Remember seniors, if it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a big fat lie.
Representative Brady’s staff has gone far beyond the call of duty in laying out the massive 2500 page healthcare law in a colorful, frightening illustration. The only thing scarier is the far Left radical administration in charge of this gigantic, trillion dollar behemoth.
