What would happen if your church softball team tried to play the New York Yankees in a 9 inning game of baseball? You better hope you are playing with a mercy rule. It would be a pummeling to say the least. Well last Friday CNN’s Rick Sanchez brought his mediocre pitching skills up against Hammering Ann Coulter and was humiliated.
Grab some peanuts and cracker jacks and enjoy the video.
Right from the beginning Sanchez shows he is unmatched. He appears to try to catch Coulter off guard by covering a topic other than what he told Coulter she would be asked about. She doesn’t let the ambush journalism slide.
That was a surprise. I guess that’s what we’re talking about, Rick.
Sanchez decides to ask Coulter about why Andrew Breitbart wasn’t apologizing for posting the now famous “edited” video portion of Shirley Sherrod talking about racism. Sanchez believes Breitbart should be discredited. Coulter gets an easy base hit against Sanchez by pointing out the portion had not been edited. Breitbart used a full clip that he had been given. She hit a home run when she pointed out the NAACP, on the other hand, had the whole video when they first criticized Ms. Sherrod for her comments.
Well, A, then the NAACP and the White House are far more guilty than Breitbart because they didn’t wait to see the full video, and, by the way, the NAACP had the full video. Breitbart didn’t fire anyone. Breitbart didn’t have the full video.
The Obama administration would not have initially fired Sherrod if the NAACP had not condemned her. Yet somehow they have avoided all criticism in the story. Sanchez had no response. After it became clear that Sanchez was no match for Coulter’s arguments she went on full attack mode.
