"round-ups of academics, intellectuals, journalists, and disturbers of peace?" Academics and journalists are often the most vehement advocates for communism and Islam, both totalitarian in nature. I suffered many years of academic communist clap-trap at the university level. Academics, similar to Islamists, can only make apologies for the number of souls pushed into the hole by these ideologies. Not one had a valid response to my questions, only excuses.

Taking a page from the civil unrest in the 1960's, we have a seed in the Tea Party Patriots that may very well germinate into a full resistance movement. Although lots of us are senior citizens we should be willing to stand up in civil disobedience even if it means prison. We all should know of iconic figures such as the above mentioned Cardinal Mindszenty , Solzhenitsyn, Armando Valladares, and so many freedom loving heroes, that it would be a shame on our honor if we weren't able to show our guts in defending the legacy of our FF. We need to take it all the way if necessary. Personally, when I was young I volunteered for Military service in Nam and now, I'm ready to stand up for freedom in my own country even if it requires my "last full measure of devotion." God help us do the right thing.

JEANETTE: "...will we simply pack our allotted six kilos and wait for the round-ups of academics, intellectuals, journalists, and disturbers of peace?"

Try bloggers and think-tank contributors. The "academics" and "journalists" are Obama's intellectual shock-troops and cheer-leaders.

I've been re-reading 'Radical Son' myself over the last 4 days. David's introspection is striking...and gives us all a window into our own shortcomings: His inability to truly listen for as long as he was afflicted with his radical fantasies; the ego that drove his fantasies...how he sat atop the pyramid in the library that represented to him all of humanity; the "autism" that Peter tried so desperately to compel him to overcome.

This kind of introspection, also abundant in "The End of Time', is ultimately - in my opinion - a reflection of David's humanity. We could all learn from it, particularly when dealing with loved ones who still out of ignorance embrace the liberal/left narrative.

Bleeding-heartism is everything that's wrong with America right now, but showing patience to friends and loved ones who don't share one's views is essential in leading an ethical existence. I'm certainly guilty of having allowed political issues to estrange my relations with loved ones...and I'm determined to rectify this.

I think that this is an important question to ask. The Weather Underground- whose agenda we are following to a T- called for "Re-education camps" and said that those who could not get their minds right would have to be terminated. The unthinkable HAS happened in all other dictatorships and communist countries. People are becoming resources with value determined by the state. Is there anywhere else to go? When did the Jews know that Europe was no longer safe? Communism is a cancer and it is spreading fast. Is it possible to heal our nation or is amputation the only option? I hate the fact that we even have to consider the crimes that our fellow countymen might inflict on those of us who don't agree.
