Democrats Betray Blacks Again… And Howard Dean Blames Fox News
The Sotomayor story to which he refers was a scandalous and racist quote from a supreme court nominee. One who has long been associated with an organization called La Raza (the race — in this case the Mexican “race”). It was also a completely solid story, and about a serious issue in the mind and life of a supreme court nominee. And again, any reasonable person has grounds to be concerned about genuine racism in a supreme court judge, whatever race they may prefer.
According to Dean the fact that Fox reported these stories is evidence of … racism. And evidence that Fox’s coverage of the Sherrod story is racist as well. At this point not only is Webster spinning in his grave, but if you listen carefully, you can hear Aristotle doing backflips as well.
I suppose that if there had been a rash of voter intimidation cases and shockingly racist statements by court nominees and Fox only reported these incidents, he might have a point to make. But there haven’t been. These are the only instances in recent memory. Which of course is part of what makes them so notable and newsworthy. And Dean knows that perfectly well. Which makes his contorted line of pseudo-reasoning notable and newsworthy — in other words, he knows he’s lying.
But the fun doesn’t stop there:
The tea party called out their racist fringe and I think the Republican Party’s got to stop appealing to its racist fringe. And Fox News is what did that.

Ahah! It’s the vast right wing conspiracy of white people. Racists all. Evil Fox news, picking on minority populations by reporting on minority racism, why, it’s … racist!
The outstanding thing in all of this mindless rant is the constant drumbeat of the word racist. It is the only thing holding it all together. We see not a scrap of logic, not a shred of respect for the English language and not even a plausible attempt at a semblance factual evidence. Just the repetition of racist this, racist that, racist the other …
And in the meantime the black communities of the nation continue to slip off the edge of a sinking economy, and the government jobs with which Obama pays off their self-styled community leaders will not help them. And in the end his redistributionist manias will not help them either. They didn’t help Nazi Germany, East Germany, Russia, China, North Korea, Zimbabwe or anywhere else they have been applied. The rich get poor and the poor get even poorer. Except of course for political insiders.
At some point people will notice that the poorest black neighborhoods in America are all in cities run by Democrats. The school system that leaves black children almost illiterate is run by Democrats. And at some point the Americans whose distant antecedents came here from Africa will watch Democrats jumping and pointing and shouting “racist! racist!” and start wondering what they are really up to.
I know that day is coming. Because a better man than I told us that we shall overcome.
