Again and again, we’ve told you that the big three networks — ABC, CBS and NBC — have been bleeding viewers and staff. Earlier this year, ABC laid off an astonishing 350-400 employees. This downward trend has been going on for years and shows no sign of letting up.

Today, rumors are swirling about further cuts at CBS News, once the jewel in the network’s crown. Forbes reports:

“My understanding is that the cuts are coming this month. I’ve heard this from the highest level,” says one producer. If the cuts are made, it will be the third major round of layoffs at the network since 2008. In February, 75 staffers lost their jobs. This time, though, it could be the business side’s turn under the axe. “I can’t imagine there’s another 75 people to whack on the news side,” the producer said.

Exactly. How can there have ever possibly been that many people working at that place — and isn’t it weird that, after the cuts, (remaining) viewers apparently haven’t noticed? How much longer can the bloated, legacy liberal media cling to life?
