Why Does “Conservative” Rand Paul Use the Same Metaphors as Neo-Communist Michael Moore?

Michael Moore used the same comparison in his atrocious “Capitalism: A Love Story.” The film began with an opening utilizing b-movie footage of Roman gladiators and Moore’s cheesy narration.

So why do both anti-American leftists and anti-American pseudo-conservatives use this metaphor? Simple: because they want America as we know it to be destroyed. The Neo-Communist revolutionaries dream of a socialist utopia and the Ron Paul revolutionaries long for a free market utopia. The Mooreians dream of 200 years in the future after all their “social justice” policies have been implemented and the Paulastinians dream of what they imagine America was 200 years in the past. In both cases their radical delusions blind them to the barbarians at the gate.

But as I’ve said before, if you’re going to compare us to Rome just be honest about why that empire fell: barbarians sacked it. Just as they’re quietly eating away at us by stealth right now.
