The relationship’s over. Mayor Michael Nutter, another city official to hit the ‘Obama Flunky List,’ has given the kiss-off to the feds.

According to an announcement this past Sunday by the deputy mayor for public safety, Everett Gillison, Immigration and Custom Enforcement  agents won’t have access to arrest records.

On Friday Mayor Nutter is expected to cancel the agreement between ICE and Philadelphia’s PARS – the Preliminary Arraignment Reporting System. This comes after last year’s order to all city employees forbidding them to question the status of  “victims, witnesses, arrestees, and detainees.”  Now, it’s ICE’s turn:

Mayor Nutter has expressed concern about the human rights of all immigrants, regardless of their legal status.

Of course the ‘humans’ that legally enter this country as well as their fellow Americans need to welcome the criminal border-crossers with open arms. The code phrase ‘human rights’ means the rule of law takes a back seat to social justice.

Prior to Gillison’s statement a meeting was held at the Annunciation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The basement room was packed with reps from pro-immigration groups like JUNTOS and New Sanctuary Movement.

City Councilwoman Maria Quinones repeated Nutter’s codewords: ‘”This is about human rights. It’s about civil rights.”

After she spoke illegal immigrants shared their stories of being threatened with deportation after arrests for minor or bogus crimes. Needless to say, their tales of woe portrayed police officers, sworn to uphold the law, as fascist pigs right out of the 60’s playbook.

Philadelphia’s finest won’t get much support from Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey either. He says he “agrees with the mayor.’ Ramsey attended the DOJ meeting with Holder on May 26, 2010 as one of ten police officials who went to D.C. to protest the Arizona immigration law.

Ramsey better get ready to lose a few good men on his force when Philly is added to the growing list of sanctuary cities in the U.S. One ICE agent stated that access to PARS helped convict “criminal aliens'”and get “dangerous people off the streets.”

But that doesn’t matter to mayors like Nutter and commissioners like Ramsey who’ll  sacrifice anybody that stands in the way of their bowin’ and scrapin’ to a group of Left-wing extremists like JUNTOS.

What’s a few dead cops compared to the ‘rights’ of criminals – no big deal- that’s the power of justice,  hombre.
