The Editors of Time Magazine on the Sestak story.

The media’s love affair with Obama has started to wain with the Joe Sestak hiring scandal, that is unless you’re Time Magazine.  Even the New York Times and MSNBC have started covering Sestak and others’ claims that Obama’s folks offered him a high level job if he wouldn’t run against Senator Arlen Specter.  Somehow the huge story not only didn’t make the cut in the next Time Magazine, but they haven’t even heard of  it.

This morning on Morning Joe, Time’s editor Rick Stengal was asked by Mika Brzezinski if they were covering Sestak, and the man looked like a deer caught in headlights.  He clearly had no clue what she was talking about.  Watch for yourself.

Here is a transcript (thanks to NewsBusters):

MIKA BRZEZINSKI: I know we have to go.  I’m just wondering, you have something about Ron and Rand Paul–fascinating–and Obama and the oil spill. Is there anything on the Sestak issue?  Is it a story?

RICK STENGEL: On the?

BRZEZINSKI: The Sestak controversy.

STENGEL: [Pause] the?

BRZEZINSKI: Joe Sestak.

STENGEL: Oh, oh.  Sestak.  No. No. No.

BRZEZINSKI: OK, just wondering.

STENGEL: There is not.  There is not.

BRZEZINSKI: Is it not a story?

STENGEL: Um, I think we did it, we did it online. Um, have you been talking about it this morning? I haven’t actually listened this morning.

BRZEZINSKI: Yeah, we’ve been following it all week and I’ve just been sort of asking different editors where it sort of places in their spectrum.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Mika thinks it’s a story.

STENGEL: Oh.

BRZEZINSKI: I do. I’m just sort of curious about it.

Stengel does every trick in the book to stall while either trying to realize what the story is or to get help from Mika and Joe for tips.  Thankfully, both Mika and Joe never give the drowning man a life preserver.

Some say Stengal just has selective amnesia so as to not speak ill of the President.  I believe it is worse than that.  Much of the mainstream media intentionally ignores even listening to negative about Obama.  At the first sight of criticism they revert to “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”  Stengal and others are passing the Obama love joint, and give no ear to any negativity that could ruin their high.

Morning Joe’s Brzezinski should get props for not only covering the story of the hiring scandal, but in revealing to their viewers that much of the MSM is purposefully ignoring it.  The dam of bias has been cracked, the flood is yet to come.
