Attorney General Eric Holder has threatened that the Justice Department may sue the state of Arizona if they decide the statute is un-constitutional. Today, Congressman Ted Poe of Texas asked Holder if he had read the law.
Holder admitted he had not read the 16 page bill.
“It’s a lot shorter than the health care bill we just passed,” Poe deadpanned.
Later, Poe asked a squirming Holder, ” It’s hard to understand how you can have ‘concerns’ about the constitutionality of something if you haven’t read the law… can you help me with that?”
Not a good day for the Attorney General, who showed that he has no interest in fulfilling even the minimum requirements of his job.
