“For It”: MSA Student Confesses She Wants a Second Holocaust

Posted on May 11 2010 2:54 pm
David Swindle is the Managing Editor of NewsReal Blog and the Associate Editor of FrontPage Magazine. Follow him on Twitter here

Last night NewsReal Blog’s Editor-in-Chief David Horowitz gave a talk at UC San Diego to counter the Muslim Students Association‘s Israeli Apartheid Week. (Horowitz made a point to properly describe the event as “Hitler Youth” week.) He was literally giving his speech at the same time as notorious anti-Semite Norman Finkelstein.

During the Question and Answer period Horowitz had a chilling exchange with a member of the MSA in which he prodded her to reveal the depraved depths of her Jew-hatred. What’s shocking is not so much that she holds such views, but rather that she was willing to admit it:

MSA member: Good evening, I just wanted to say thank you for coming to campus tonight and presenting your point of view, its always important to have to sets of, ah, views going on at the same time. Um, very useful.  My name is Jumanah Imad Albahri and I’m a student here at UCSD. Ah I was reading your literature, I found that much more interesting than your talk, and I found some interesting things about the MSA, which is an organization that is very active on campus and is hosting our annual “Hitler Youth” week, you should come out to those events. Um, if you could clarify the connection between the MSA and Jihad terrorist networks, because last time I checked, we had to do our own fundraising, and we never get help from anyone.  So if you could clarify the connection between UCSD’s MSA or if you don’t have such information, if you could connect other MSA’s on UC’s, because the connection wasn’t to clear in the pamphlet, just if you could clarify.

Horowitz: Okay.  Will you condemn Hamas, here and now?

MSA member: I’m sorry, what?

Horowitz: Will you condemn Hamas?

MSA member: Would I condemn Hamas?

Horowitz: As a terrorist organization.  Genocidal organization.

MSA member: Are you asking me to put myself on a cross?

Horowitz: So you won’t.  I have actually had this experience many times.  You didn’t actually read the pamphlet, because the pamphlet is chapter and verse. The main connection is that the MSA is part of the Muslim Brotherhood Network as revealed…

MSA member: I don’t think you understood what I meant by that.  I meant if I say something, I am sure that I will be arrested, for reasons of homeland security.  So if you could please just answer my question.

Horowitz: If you condemn Hamas, Homeland Security will arrest you?

MSA member: If I support Hamas, because your question forces me to condemn Hamas.  If I support Hamas, I look really bad.

Horowitz: If you don’t condemn Hamas, obviously you support it.  Case closed.  I have had this experience at UC Santa Barbara, where there were 50 members of the Muslim Students Association sitting right in the rows there.  And throughout my hour talk I kept asking them, will you condemn Hizbollah and Hamas. And none of them would.  And then when the question period came, the president of the Muslim Students Association was the first person to ask a question. And I said, ‘Before you start, will you condemn Hizbollah?’ And he said, ‘Well, that question is too complicated for a yes or no answer.’  So I said, ‘Okay, I’ll put it to you this way.  I am a Jew.  The head of Hizbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally.  For or Against it?

MSA member: For it.

Horowitz: Thank you for coming and showing everybody what’s here.

This is the reality of what we’re facing today. We are in a global struggle with Islamic Nazis who brazenly, openly advocate a second holocaust. We are at war with a totalitarian enemy that seeks world domination.

There is really only one question that’s relevant after you’ve watched this video: What are you going to do about this? How are you going to participate in the fight against Nazism? What are you going to do so that “Never Again” really means Never Again?

Update: Thanks to Pamela Geller who linked and who has more on the truth about the “Palestinian Cause” at Atlas Shrugs.

Update 2: Thanks to Daniel Foster at the Corner, Ann Coulter, Gateway Pundit, Breitbart TV, Hot Air, Townhall, The Weekly Standard, Jawa Report, Gina Cobb, Pundit and Pundette, Calvin Freiburger, and Gates of Vienna for helping this story get out there.

Update 3: More thanks to Joshua Pundit, Ace of Spades, Right Scoop, and Kathy Shaidle

Update 4: I respond to a misguided graduate student who’s one of Nazi Girl’s teachers.

Update 5: See Horowitz’s full UCSD speech here.

Update 6: More thanks to Michelle Malkin and Commentary.

Update 7: Thank you Glenn Beck. Also everyone be sure and watch Hannity tonight on Fox News where Horowitz will be making an appearance to discuss this issue.

Update 8: Be sure and read NRB’s newest update in this story: Albahri Just Iceberg’s Tip, Campus Campaign for a Second Holocaust is National

Update 9: Albahri is a pathological liar who will try and deceive her way out of this mess. And we won’t let her.

Between in-your-face radical Islam and blatant Marxism, how much more do people have to see? I don't think it's because people are ignorant. I think it's because if they acknowledge what is really going on, they'll have to do something about it, and that takes a lot of effort and courage.

    • May 12, 2010

the sad thing is that so many people think that words will solve the problem.

    • May 12, 2010

The battle line has been drawn. You are either asleep, a "useful idiot" or ready to fight for our republic.

I for one am sick of the media and their blatant disdain for telling the truth.

      Getting more frustrated everyday

    • May 13, 2010

      I am sorry to say
It will get worse before it gets any better.
      Much worse…..
They are getting more brazen by the day.
But there will be a backlash.
A few more years maybe less.

    • May 13, 2010

You are very astute. Your observation is dead on.

    • May 14, 2010

We have a federal government that will not even use terms like "radical islam" or terrorist. The conduct
of that MSA student is typical. They know that they can get away with it and there will be no chastisement
from their university. What is really a puzzle to me is that so many Jewish people are liberals. They
helped elect Obama, who I believe hates Israel.
As the bumper sticker says: " I learned all that I want to know about Islam on 9-11."

    • May 15, 2010

      Islam,Marxism,Communism. All Totalitarian blood-brothers.

    • May 15, 2010

How true if people recognize this they'll be forced todeal with it. People in this country are pathetic. Those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms, surely must be turning over in there graves. Remember being scared is no excuse for COWARDICE!

    • May 17, 2010

“I do NOT condone murder, I do NOT condone genocide, and I do NOT condone racism under any circumstance whatsoever against Jews or anyone else. These accusations are lies that I refuse to allow David Horowitz and his allies to perpetuate in their irresponsible and hateful smear campaign against those who disagree with or differ from them,” wrote Ms. Albahri “Never have I uttered a negative syllable towards or about any person because of their ethnicity or religion on campus or otherwise, Jewish or otherwise. Regardless of my participation in these events, for Mr. Horowitz to insinuate that I am anti-Semitic is ridiculous; I am a Semite.

      • May 17, 2010

Miss Albahri lives in Disneyland. Every day is a new and fresh day for her.
She expressed hate of Jews, ANY JEWS, not only the Israelis and not only Horowitz who put himself into the equation.
Her defense of "being a Semite" do deny anti-semitism, which means anti-Jewish and does not refer to any other "Semitic" people, is ridiculous.
If she had never "uttered any negative syllabe" towards Jewish people until now, then she can relax: now it's done and in the vilest form. She just expressed her wish to see Jews disappear from this Earth in a second Holocaust. Perhaps she would keep Norman Finkelstein in a zoo, for kids to see what a Jew could be.

  2. May 11, 2010

Thank you David, for exposing her as the hater that she is and what our college campuses are producing today.

    • May 12, 2010

Whoa now, college campuses are not producing these people. We have a major problem of allowing student visas to anyone, and this is the problem. They need to stop letting in anyone and everyone but maybe doing something as simple as having a checklist….Do you support terrorism? Do you support Hamas? Hezzbollah? Genocide of Jews? Africans? Christians? And then throw in one yes question about do you support people living in harmony just to throw off those checking no down the line so as not to be "thrown on the cross"

      • May 15, 2010

Eric, listen to her accent… or lack thereof. She is not here on a student visa.

    • May 14, 2010

Yes…and did you see Home Land Security storm the building too?

    • May 14, 2010

I have to say it is not just in colleges. After a discussion with a young man who is a junior in HS he informed me that some students although native born pay homage to these countries and hate America. Yet they will get an education and all the time demean our freedom and work from within to mold it to what they want. Heck why not we have a President that is doing it all the time against freedom of speech via the internet, newspapers or even Cable TV. Now we have a Supreme Court nominee that follows in the same vein. Yet the left and progressives know that they will get their way because of people like this woman. All I can say is that I am so glad my Parents Lord rest their souls are not here to see this.

    • May 18, 2010

Great job David. No speaches, just facts. Sincerly, great job.

Thanks for making this chilling moment available, David. For most people, seeing and hearing is what jumpstarts thinking.

    • May 12, 2010

Although I agree with your sentiment, this kind of talk is routine.

Islamists tell the West exactly what they plan to do. As long as we have morons in power, it will be this way until the West realizes that we have been fighting World War III for decades.

  4. May 11, 2010

What's really scary is the tone she took when she said that she was for it. You could tell that she really meant it, that THEY really meant it.

    Never again.

    • Error: Unable to create directory uploads/2014/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
      May 11, 2010

Exactly, there was complete conviction there.

    • May 12, 2010

The tone she slipped into when she dropped the rational academic tone used in setting up her question was zombie like, almost as though her own individuality dropped away and the psychic entity behind the hate was speaking directly.

      • May 12, 2010

Remember that in the original Holocaust, Doctors, Engineers etc. were involved. The pseudoscience was taught as science and imbued into society.

    • May 13, 2010

I saw a deep anger and hatred come out in her at that moment. If she had a gun, I wouldn't have been surprised if she shot him right there and then.

    • May 15, 2010

And what got me is that there was almost no, and I undrline no, disagreement coming from the audience. Either they were stunned into silence by her "for" vote or they are in tacit agreement.
      I think the latter.

  5. May 11, 2010

Bravo David! When will we wake up, understand and condemn the hatred for Jews that masquerades as support for a people who have never existed.

    • May 24, 2010

you shold also condemn hatred for all muslin too.
Love Jews Hate all muslin is your mots

  6. May 11, 2010

the intent is to wipe out the two religions who favor individual thought and actions, Judaism and Christianity. islam and communism are concepts of thought that compel an individual to give up all of their rights, as an individual, and turn themselve over, completely, to the reigning power. in communism there is no God, the state is the God. in this false practice called islam there is a belief of a God but, that personage can never be pictured or revealed. this practice is a farce and controls only by and through fear. the statist power of islam and communism are one in the same.

    • May 12, 2010

That's not actually true… Communism, as such, doesn't demand any such thing. To try to link Communism and Islam is just making a false connection so short-sighted Americans can lump all their historical enemies under a single header.

Communism expects selflessness in deference to the communal good. Religion isn't *necessarily* a part of that equation. Neither is a government necessarily part of that either.

Go read up on some PoliSci, history and religion to get some perspective on this situation.

      • May 13, 2010

The common thread in all forms of tyrrany is that they preach submission to something larger than yourself. Communism preached submission to the collective, and Islam preaches submission to god, but both of them advocate a surrendering of your individual freedom and will to something else. It is the process that matters, the stated "receviver" is unimportant.

The Jews on the other hand, foster serious questioning. I have a Jewish friend who likes to joke that his responsibility as a Jew is to take divide himself into pieces and argue with himself. I think this is why the Jews have historically done so well both individually and as a group, and survived so much persecution and hardship.

I recommend David Horowitz's "Unholy Alliance" and Jamie Glazov's "United In Hate" for more about the similarities and improbable alliances between leftists and Islamists.

      • May 15, 2010

Care to give us an example of such a communist nation? Or is your declaration of the marvels of communism — selflessness and communal good — merely a prayer for how humans ought to live?

    • May 13, 2010

"…selflessness in deference to the communal good…." tell that to the people who ended up in the Gulags in the Soviet Union (remember the Soviet Union?) – believe it or not the USSR is still in existence and by giving a name to something, doesn't necessarily remove the stain of the past. take a look at the countries which are controlled under communism and islam. poverty, lack of education to name only a couple of serious inadequacies. the greatest thing a countries leaders can do for its people is to give unequaled individual freedom, only then will you have growth of the kind that makes a country great. that's why the United States was able to fight and win World War II. i fear that you, Mr. KT9, have been brainwashed just like the young lady in question and would side with her if the decision had to be made to eradicate a population of people just "because".

  7. May 11, 2010

Poor girl, damned either way…support Hamas, worry about "Homeland Security"(like Incompetano is a serious threat!) or condemn Hamas, and be stoned by her "friends" when she finishes her education, and returns "home." (I know, she might be a "Muslim-American", but "home is where the heart is!"

    • May 12, 2010

Meh – folks say far worse than simply indicating support for Hamas and Homeland Security does nothing about it. She knows it, that's just false bravado and "ooh, look at me, aren't I tough" crap. But yeah – she bloody well seemed to 'mean it', eh? Trash.

    • May 13, 2010

I think I’d rather worry about Homeland Security if I had the choice

    • May 17, 2010

poor girl? WHAT? are you right in the head? she would happily watch your dumb little head being hacked off for not believing in that koran crap they all worship like zombies. you must be so thick, clueless & shallow, wake up, dumb dumb. unbelievable, i think you are missing your calling, maybe you should become one of them, you have the brain for it. your pathetic!

    • May 17, 2010

Then perhaps she should be studing in her own country. Go home, problem solved.

  8. May 11, 2010

The plump pro-Palestinian hate groups supporter seemed like/talked like an average American student in the beginning… It is clear that islamic politics renders otherwise intelligent persons cold-blooded, bigoted & murderous simpletons! She is a shining example of what is consider normal for this demonic (totalitarian) ideology!

  9. May 11, 2010

That girl is one scary individual. To be honest,I'd condemn her in a heartbeat.

    • May 14, 2010

The scary thing is the tone of this "peace loving" girl's voice when she says, "For it" – her disdain for Jews is explicit in the reply.

  10. May 11, 2010

And condemn her,I mean call her a monster for wanting the extermination of Jews.

  11. May 11, 2010

Maybe if we just kill them all, the problem will go away. And for clarification: Anyone that desires the extermination of another people based on religion or physical appearance, etc deserves to be lynched.
Do I count myself a hypocrite based on this? No. I don't believe in killing innocent people, radical islam does.

    • May 12, 2010

you are a hypocrite. killing is killing. i don't agree with them, but i don't agree with you either.

      • May 12, 2010

I disagree; he kills people who wish to kill innocent people. There is a difference between killing someone who wishes to kill innocent people and wanting to kill innocent people.

That said, I'm do not agree with him; a person must perform some sort of action first – must show real intent and preparation to cause harm, such as buying all the materials for making a bomb and writing in their diary what they're going to do – before they may be rightfully arrested and tried for conspiracy to commit murder.

        • May 13, 2010

“a person must perform some sort of action first – must show real intent and preparation to cause harm, such as buying all the materials for making a bomb and writing in their diary what they're going to do – before they may be rightfully arrested and tried for conspiracy to commit murder.”

You mean like slamming a jet full of people into the side the tallest skyscraper in New York?

And then doing it again to the remaining one?

And then doing the same thing to the biggest military building in the country?

          Something like that?

Sorry, waiting for the murder of thousands more just won’t do. There comes a time when proactive measures are necessary. That time has come.

          • May 16, 2010

Right. Because a hateful college student is clearly just as dangerous as trained al-queda agents who have made preparations to undergo an elaborate plan to hijack two planes. Unless we find evidence that's she planning to do the same, she can unfortunately be as close-minded and hateful as she wishes.

            • May 16, 2010

Since you mention it, does the name Faisal Shahzad ring a bell? He almost managed to set of a car bomb in Times Square. Remember that?

Ever heard of Umar rouk Abdulmutallab, the underwear bomber?

Or Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood assassin?

Or how about Richard Colvin Reid, the shoe bomber?

They all had one thing in common: They were individual radical Muslims who became dangerous terrorists. Today’s hate-filled Muslim college student is potentially tomorrow’s suicide bomber, or possibly someone who assists those who wish to become one.

Radical Muslims, regardless of their academic affiliations, are all potentially capable of mass murder. Until we wake up and realize these individual radicals are now the primary source of terrorism in America, and are therefore deserving of our closest scrutiny, we will continue suffering the consequences.

The politically correct hand-wringing you advocate is nothing less than lethal nonsense.

              • May 22, 2010

I agree with Texas, which is a first for me, a centrist, moderate, pro-Israel Jew from Miami. One of the many dissappointing, frightening and saddest points is how Horowitz missed the opportunity to call her out on her hypocrisy.

      • May 13, 2010

So if an armed lunatic held a gun to your Mother's head and you had to kill him to save her you wouldn't do it?

You should change your handle to heavydrinker.

    • May 23, 2010

      First, you say…

"Maybe if we just kill them all, the problem will go away."

      And then, you say…

"Anyone that desires the extermination of another people based on religion or physical appearance, etc deserves to be lynched."

See you on the bonfire, then? You're calling to have them killed based on identical criteria. No matter how you want to attempt to avoid calling yourself a hypocrite. You are. Genocide of any nature is never a viable or decent option. You become them. Are we not better than that?

Back to the point… this girl is absolutely insane. It's frightening to think there are more like her out there. Though I thought it was repugnant she tried to blame Mr. Horowitz for putting her in a corner. Like somehow her hate was his fault. Laughable at best.

  12. May 12, 2010

she attends ucsd? i thought they only allowed hotties into that school

    • May 12, 2010

      you're thinking of UCLA

    • May 13, 2010

I think the main criterion is actually how much the student subscribes to the lefty "thought" process. Thought is in quotes because we all know it isn't really thinking.

    • May 13, 2010

Technically, she will be a hottie when she straps on a bomb vest and blows herself up in a day care center. Well, at least for a few milliseconds.

    • May 14, 2010

I attended UCSD for the school year 1969/70. Back when Herbert Marcuse and Angela Davis were featured guest lecturers (or professors, I don't recall). Back then there were exactly TWO cute women on campus. For hotties you had to go across town to San Diego State University. Back then you could have cute OR smart, but not both. Nowadays, of course, there are many beautiful and intelligent women. This particular specimen is neither!

    • May 15, 2010

She couldn't get a date with a regular guy so she had to join up with the uglies who can't get regular girls to go out with them.

    • May 21, 2010

  13. May 12, 2010

Very scary individual this student. She certainly sounded American. There is no doubt that with all the Muslim-American terrorists (Headley, Faisal, Najibullah, Jihad Jane…) that Islam has truly arrived on American shores and is here to stay. Car bombings, killing of infidels( Jews/hindus/xtians..) will be as common as say in Pakistan or Iran.

    • May 15, 2010

American people will not tolerate what is common in pakistan or iran. we are able to bear arms & defend our families and homes. We will do so. you will see a continued growth of hatred for the people who perpetrated this cowardly garbage, and it will make the 60's look like romper room.

      • May 15, 2010

I would love to say you're right 'American born' but I fear 'Rajesh K' has a point. American's have softened from what we were say, 30 years ago… Too much importance on political correctness than sounding off with brave bravado (just in case the words aren't perfect). As a native San Diegan, the thought of someone like this attending a school from my home town sickens me and if anyone is aware of the cultural influences in Orange County, I'm afraid to wear my Star Of David for fear of being physically harmed there; I believe there was a report recently on Jewish students at UC Irvine being handled roughly and from the way I have been treated because of the large extreme groups in the area, it is not surprising.

  14. May 12, 2010

This is horrifying to hear. She can't be the only one who believes this way on our own campuses. I suggest that Mr Horowitz appear on whatever news show will have him and play this video. This century is going all wrong and the truth will only help put a stop to this kind of thing.

    • May 12, 2010

Yes, I would this video to be seen on National Broadcast Companies. Everyone shoud know what is going on in our schools and colleges.

      • May 13, 2010

I actually go to UCSD and the group she belongs to has a huge wall thats VERY anti israel and they play pro-Palestinian music loud as well, it makes it very uncomfortable to walk to class, this bullshit propaganda should not be put in the center of our campus, its offensive and distasteful, especially because I am Jewish, and we don't set up a gigantic 50 foot long wall with tales of what Palestinians have done to our people…it's fucking pathetic, feeding off of sympathy.

  15. May 12, 2010

That's the face of Islam. No love for humanity.

    • May 13, 2010

There are hate groups of all kinds all over the world.

In fact, all across the country every christian fundamentalist conveys hatred and bigotry against blacks, women, homosexuals, Mexicans, atheists, and even other brand names of Christianity .

To say solely Islam has no love for humanity is ignorant.

      • May 13, 2010

To compare a handful of Christian nuts to millions of hate-filled Muslims is ignorant.

        • May 16, 2010

To assume that "millions of Muslims" are hate-filled is also ignorant. You cannot judge a whole religion by one individual. I am sure there are many Muslims in this country and others who would condemn what she said.

          • May 16, 2010

I’m not assuming anything. Please try and follow.

Fact: A group of hate-filled Muslims hijacked four airliners full of people and rammed three of them into buildings, killing themselves and thousands of innocents in the process.

Fact: Any person who believes their actions were completely justified is also hate-filled.

Fact: Published studies show that at least 7 percent of Muslims believe the 9-11 attack was completely justified.

Fact: There are 1.2 billion Muslims

Fact: 7% of 1.2 billion is 84 million

Fact: 84 million Muslims certainly qualifies as “millions of Muslims”.

Fact: Millions of Muslims are hate-filled.

Fact: I did not say *a whole religion* is hate filled. Those were words you chose, not me.

I think you should assess who the ignorant one is here and get back to me. Please bring facts instead of denial and emotional diatribe.

          • May 17, 2010

You need to read the quran and study what it really wants. Its not a holy book its a book that spells out clearly hate and backward thinking. Islam is a lie, the Bible disproves this If you look at
this disproves Islam and you look at proves Islam and the Quran are not perfect and hardly of god, but put together as was the Bible. Yet the Bible has parts of the Torah that is from god and his chosen people, not always a good title, but Islam is evil as was the Natzi's Islam is hate speak and should be banned 100%.

"every christian fundamentalist conveys hatred and bigotry against blacks, women, homosexuals, Mexicans, atheists, and even other brand names of Christianity"

This is a bigoted statement. I'm not a Christian fundamentalist — I'm an agnostic mystic. But I have plenty of "Christian fundamentalist" friends and they don't hate anyone.

  16. May 12, 2010

They arrested a group in Michigan because they talked of anti-goverment activity. All they did was talk of it. Here you have muslims admitting their alliance and hate of Jews and Christians. Why are they allowed here? Why are they not rounded up as this group was and put in jail and the media convict them ? What is wrong with this picture? Thank you David for giving us lots of information.

    • May 12, 2010

Jail is a waste of our money, send them back to the desert

    • May 12, 2010

    • May 16, 2010

It is better to live in a country where people feel they can speak their minds, and where the public get to learn of their views than a place that threatens to jail people. Because then it would all be hidden from public view. Now we know what that woman thinks, and it's better we know it than not.

  17. May 12, 2010

Is it just me or does David Horowitz's response to what was a relatively straightforward, if not the most eloquently-phrased, question demonstrate a deep unwillingness to engage academically. "Before I answer your question, please condemn organization X." This is not how academic discussion works as should be evident to anyone who is familiar with it should know.

    • May 12, 2010

Yes, it's just you. He gave her nonsensical agenda-driven question precisely the 'engagement' it deserved.

      • May 13, 2010

yes he simply gave her two options do you or do you not support this group sorry to disappoint you but you my friend are a minority

    • May 12, 2010

I had a sense of that too. However her opening condescenion that the pamphlets were more interesting than the talk were fatuous and her invitation to David to attend the MSA "Hitler Youth" week events was appalling. Her own attitude indicated this was not an academic discussion. David indicated that he has faced this sort of question many times and that he saw through the pretense that it was an academic question. Nevertheless David did actually answer the question, although he was cutoff, indicating that the pamphlets did not need clarification. In other words the question was one he was familiar with and was familiar with its use to obfuscate the issue.

    • May 12, 2010

Shouldn't we clarify if she is for or agenst genocide before we begin an "academic discussion" ? In my book, one who supports genocide does not get a say in an "academic discussion". Also, what is "eloquent" about 'umms' and 'ehhs'.

      • May 15, 2010

what part of for it do you not get? just like all the other muslims on the planet, she is for the extermination of the Jewish people….how much more clarification do you need??

        • May 16, 2010

LOL Jane gets it!!! That was in response to "Per" . You're stupid "@jaxscorpio"

    • May 12, 2010

Its not just you, its you and all the other imbecilic apologists who are inviting these murderous demons to slaughter us all without realizing what you are doing. This was not an academic question on her part. This was a political statement and an attempt to broadcast her position in a thinly disguised rhetorical question.

    • May 12, 2010

Mr. Horowitz's response was exactly on topic. Her question asked how Mr. Horowitz could claim any kind of link between MSA and Islamic militants. This girl claims to support Islam, yet she refused to denounce the brutality of jihadist Islamic factions. By so doing, she proved Mr. Horowitz's point, which is that you do not have to be a Muslim suicide-bomber to show your support for anti-semitic, terrorist violence. All you have to do is stay quiet while your religious kin do the murdering for you.

    • May 12, 2010

I thought it was completely academic and socratic. He made the fool woman stop and think. It could be the first time she's done so in her entire life.

That's the problem with universities. Too much parroting; too little thinking.

Perfect example: When I was in college (and this was 25 years ago!), I had a professor who made false statements during lectures, completely unsupported by any science. I complained to the dean who told me to just go with it. I asked him what I was supposed to do on the tests when this professor's statements conflicted with what was in the textbook and also with what was being taught in other sections of the same class. He told me to answer as the professor had stated in class. "Even if it's wrong?" I asked. "Even if it's wrong," he said.

That right there sums it up. And that was a quarter of a century ago. Imagine how it is now? Some of the imbeciles who believed my idiot professor are now grown up and teachers themselves.

      • May 13, 2010

I would have asked the dean if I could have my money back for the class. We pay these colleges very good money to teach us useful things, not BS.

        • May 15, 2010

this wasn't a class. this was a speech to counter an anti-Semite speaking on campus. this was plainly stated in the article, or did you not know how to read?

          • May 15, 2010

My comment was in reference to Syd's comment, which I was responding to, or do you not know how to read?

            sheesh, some people's children. . . . .

          • May 16, 2010

Haha you did it again wow you're dumb… learn how to follow a thread before criticizing others.

          • May 16, 2010

Her Eloquent – lmao -she cut him off right when he was answering the question. He outwitted her – he knew what she was up to – why waste time quibbling – get right to the meat of the matter which he did – eloequently. Her tone For it – answer and tone said all that needed to be said.

    • May 12, 2010

Per wake up! It was to expose and to prove a point. Which it did.

    • May 12, 2010

      No, it's not just you.

It should be kept in mind that this exchange was hostile from the beginning as a result of Horowitz' use of highly charged rhetoric. Specifically, calling the students "Hitler Youth". But that's what Horowitz does. He's a rhetorical bomb thrower, a political terrorist. He has no interest in academic discussion of much of anything. His record has been one of provocation, sensationalism, and false claims. ( some of which he has retracted, most of which he has not )

It's obvious from watching the tape that the young woman became angered at Horowitz' refusal to answer her question and as a result took an outrageous position as a sort of "FU then, I'll be what you want me to be".

Cue the over-the-top emotional reaction from Right Wing blogs and sensationalists.

Fortunately, only the fringe media indulges in this idiocy…although I imagine that Hannity will go into predictable conniptions of high melodrama.

      • May 13, 2010

I think you're letting your ideology cloud your reasoning. To say it's obvious she took such a position just as an FU seems like quite a stretch to me. Of course Hannity will have his conniption fit, but that doesn't change the fact that it's pretty likely this woman supports Hamas and Hizbollah. Why would she refuse to denounce these violent organizations when she's trying to make it seems like she doesn't share the views of Jihad terrorist organization.

I suppose you can argue that the MSA as an organization doesn't support Hamas, but that individual MSA member makes it quite apparent that SHE does. How many more are there like her in the MSA? I don't know, but she didn't help that organization out one bit. There's going to be a few people looking at that organization very closely now.

You have the exact same understanding of Horowitz that I had before I read his books and got to know him personally. Your opinion is based on ignorance — just as mine was. Can you name the books of his that you've read?

Her position isn't outrageous. She's just advocating what her religion tells her to. You know what's in the Koran and the Hadiths, right?

      • May 13, 2010

Dude, cue your own ludicrous weaslespeak to gloss over the fact that she openly and convincingly admitted her support for a group who calls for the extermination of Jews and Israel.

How many bong hits did it take for you to actually invent/believe the claptrap you just wrote?

        What a maroon!

      • May 14, 2010

The only one who's provoking and sensationalizing this with false claims is you – about David Horowitz.

You are only fooling yourself – keep up the good work.

    • May 13, 2010

Yes, it is most definitely you, and if you can't understand what was really going on then you are just another useful idiot, or worse yet, an anti-Semitic tool. Don't feel bad. Either way you have lots of company.

    • May 14, 2010

If you were being threatened with extermination….I think the polite rules of "academic discussion" would not apply. Her question was a "loaded gun" ready to fire away at Horowitz. He turned it back on her – bravo. We must stand against this very active threat.

    • May 14, 2010

David knew, as does most everyone else, that she is a radical Islamist. There is no such thing as an academic discussion with folks who are only willing to see the side of an issue that suits them. It would have been a waste. He got straight to the point by asking that question. Do you think academic discussions will stop terrorists? Not hardly!

    • May 15, 2010

      Yes. It is you!

    • May 15, 2010

      It's just you.

    • May 15, 2010

First off, you're an idiot. he asked her, in a nutshell, if she supported the extermination of the Jewish people, to which she replied yes, which makes her an enemy of anyone who actually loves this country. Anyone who supports the genocide of a people based on race, religion, or whatever is evil and does not deserve a chance to debate at all. so yes, it is just you!

    • May 15, 2010

Please. Her question was argumentative not academic.

    • May 15, 2010

It's you. She stands up wearing – as David put it – a "terrorist scarf", I think. (I don't think this part made it into the transcript.)

Her position was clearly stated before she ever opened her mouth.

    • May 16, 2010

He did answer her question by pointing out that she in fact was lying and that she did not read the literature that she had claimed to read. He pointed out that the pamphlet did in fact have the information she claimed was lacking.

    • May 16, 2010

He is the speaker. He has earned the right to be there. She is a student. Her condescension was evident and appalling. There was only arrogance and sarcasm. Both are indicators of animosity, and Mr. Horowitz recognized that immediately. He assertively asked a simple question. In her hatred for him and all Jews, she was angry at losing "control" over the questioning, and therefore answered with a deadly and venomous "yes". She was disgusting. He had a right to ask her – if for no other reason than to put her in her place, that of student and learner.

    • May 16, 2010

Ever heard of the Socratic Method?

    • May 16, 2010

What Muslims don't understand is that after exterminating the Jews, all "races", east of Germany were to follow in their (the Jew's) footsteps. For Muslims to have a Hitler Youth rally shows a misunderstanding of racial, and historical, idealism that it staggers the mind. Watching her, and other Muslims praise Hitler is like watching Jews going to their doom praising the Final Solution. What people forget is that Hitler murdered millions of other peoples too.

  18. May 12, 2010

We as a nation should wake up. radical Islam is here moving deep into our own streets and schools. We are handing them the technology, knowledge, and all ammunition so they could kill our system, values, citizens and children.
She is the living proof of it.

    • May 15, 2010

Americans, basically a tolerant people, always close the barndoor after the horse got out.. How many more warnings do we have to get before we act. Worldwide radical Islam has committed attrocidies and they killed thousands of Americans here and abroad, yet we allow them to come here, attend our schools and we have to listen to their hate filled threats. I know Europeans trying to immigrate to this country for 17 years, but they can't get a visa. They are peaceful, successful intelligent people but they are not welcome. So how do these Muslims get visa's and get to live here? Any Muslim is our enemy
and we need to deport every one of them. If any of them want to stay they will have to change their religion. I know we have freedom of religion, but the Muslims are dangerous to the USA and the people in it. They mean us great harm.

  19. May 12, 2010

    Thank you Per for a finally logical answer. 1) Please realize that in the situation and circumstances this STUDENT was pressured by a PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER, to condemn an organization that actually aids Palestinians, but is possibly shady, versus not condemning; she is pressured to CHOOSE between two evils, unnecessarily, because Horowitz chooses to avoid her quesiton. In regards to this idea of Muslim Student Assocations as terrorist-like, and so anti-humanity, please take a look at Zionist groups on campuses; these groups propagate the complete annihilation of another people, WITHOUT EXCUSE. These groups justify this with nothing other than a secular belief that Palestinians should not exist etc. etc. So please, before you condemn a STUDENT, for saying things she doesn't mean UNDER PRESSURE, and emotionally, please review the circumstances and see the imbalance in power. This is wrong;

    • May 12, 2010

Illogical and apologist seem to go together, as in this comment above.

    • May 12, 2010

I'm sorry, did you really call Hamas "possibly shady"? POSSIBLY? Am I missing something? Because last I checked, bombing buses and blowing up pizza parlors was a little more than "shady."

As for Hamas "aiding" the Palestinians — sure, they've done a lot for their Palestinian fellows. And Hitler built roads. Does that mean we should hold him on our shoulders as a hero? Any sane person would say, "HELL NO." But I guess this girl's answer would be, "For it."

    • May 12, 2010

Furthermore, Mr. Horowitz did not sidestep the young woman's question. Her question was how Mr. Horowitz could claim that the MSA is in any way affiliated with militant Islamic terrorist groups when, in her words, they have to "do their own fundraising." Mr. Horowitz's response was perfectly on topic. By not condemning the brutal ideaologies promoted by groups such as Hamas and Hizbollah, this young woman was choosing to give tacit approval to terrorism. By not rising up and DECRYING the actions of militant Islamic factions, the wider Muslim community has essentially given their permission to these groups to commit heinous acts of murder and genocide.

I am a Christian, and when I see a fellow "Christian" bomb an abortion clinic, I feel a deep revulsion that a so-called fellow believer could pervert the Gospels in such a way. If I were asked, "Do you stand by abortion clinic bombers?" I would say, "Absolutely not." I'm pro-life, NOT pro-murder. If Islam truly were a "religion of peace," then its millions of followers should have NO PROBLEM coming forward to denounce the actions of the radicalized few.

    • May 12, 2010

I'm pretty sure she was calm and in her mind rational when she agreed to rounding up Jews in Israel to be killed.
Take your hate back to where you came from please. If you know of any specific groups propagating the death of another group of people you can take them with you.

    • May 12, 2010

What are you talking about? Palestinians in Israel and the disputed territories are among the fasted growing populations in the world! When Israel completely occupied the West Bank between 1967 and 1993, Palestinian life expectancy went from 42 years to 70 years! Check the U.N. figures.

    • May 12, 2010

If you do not like the way we treat the radical Islam movement go back to your own country. We prefer to keep this country peace loving and Christian.

      • May 13, 2010

Peace, loving and christian?! Christians are filled with so much hate and racism it makes me sick.

In fact, christian fundamentalists all across our country convey bigotry and hatred towards blacks, homosexuals, pro-rights groups, jews, muslims, and even other brands of Christianity. You must know nothing about groups like "America's promise ministries" who are very anti-semetic and believe white people are the "chosen ones." How about Aryan Nations–One of the better known organizations who mostly focus on anti-Semitism, but also advocate the murder of homosexuals. The KKK obviously all run by christians.

Christian terrorist in this country aren't shown in the media, but everyday they are killing innocent people in the name of God. Where do we send them because they certainly aren't allowing people to feel loved or live peacefully in this country.

        • May 13, 2010

Yeah I hate it when tens of millions of Christians perform clitorectomies, stone women to death, burn women’s schools, randomly kill people nearly every day in suicide bombings, call for the death of all Jews, etc. etc.

Please put your head back in the hole, Nancy.

        • May 13, 2010

The KKK routinely beat and lynched Catholics not so long ago, wow you're ignorant.

          • May 19, 2010

this fact does not mean she was ignorant in saying what she said. the kkk attacked catholics, just like certain islamic sects attack others. the comparison still holds true.

        • May 13, 2010

"everyday they are killing innocent people in the name of God. . ."

I think that's the most moonbat crazy thing I've heard yet in 2010.

You ARE the weakest link. Good-bye!

          • May 14, 2010

While i do not agree with the bulk of that screed, i think the reference was to scumbags like the murderer of Dr. George Tiller.

    • May 12, 2010

possibly shady? choose between two evils? islam has never been a religion of peace, and never will be.

    • May 12, 2010

Constantly CAPITALIZING words does not change the fact that this woman freely agreed – of her own will – that she supports a terrorist organization who mandates the slaughter of Jews. Obviously YOU ALSO agree with this genocide-supporting woman.

People like you and this woman SICKEN me. Murder-loving, genocide supporting liars that you are! How I wish there was a legal way to deport all such persons from my country!

    • May 13, 2010

Are you a member of the MSA?

    • May 13, 2010

No Zionist has ever advocated the "complete annihilation" of another people. Your claim is an outright lie. You also assume that this student did not mean what she said. You have no reason to think this other than your own wishful thinking and your need to justify your own hatred of Israel and Zionism. As for your characterization of Hamas as "possibly shady," I think it speaks for itself.

    • May 14, 2010

The only one who's provoking and sensationalizing this with false claims is you – about David Horowitz.

    • May 14, 2010

Excuse me…..who?…is doing the most radical of condemnations against whole groups and races of peoples?? You don't play by the rules…but you expect everyone else to? I don't think so.

    • May 15, 2010

he actually did answer the terrorist's question. Then she answered his, saying she supports the genocide of the Jewish People. Someday people will wake up and see that Islam is not a religion of peace, but a religion of hate and violence, and someday terrorists will wake up in their own personal spot in hell and know that Mohamed LIED!!!

    • May 15, 2010

Horowits: "The head of Hizbollah has said that he hopes that we will gather in Israel so he doesn’t have to hunt us down globally. For or Against it?"

      MSA member: "For it."

Your analysis did not include the most important part of the conversation.

Don't you get what she just said. She is FOR the convenience of having Jews killed in Israel, so that they don't have to hunt them down and kill them globally.

      You fool.

    • May 16, 2010

You are just as much a simpleton as she is. She was – as most college students do – presenting her statement as a pseudo-intellect. She was being arrogant in her speech – in delivery and content. She was not pressured in any way, shape, or form. She was hoping to put one over on him, controlling "the Jew" – Mr. Horowitz – in her mind. She only had hatred and animosity as her goal. She was not pressured by a political speaker. She finally answered with deathly calm, because she saw she was being invalidated and losing control.

    • May 16, 2010

WEat rock have you been living under to be so stupids?

  20. May 12, 2010

I graduated from UCSD in 2007. I used to frequent the 'Muslim awareness' tent quite frequently on library walk. One time I asked point blank this little loud mouthed punk to answer the following question: "Do you believe in the penalty of death for someone converting away from Islam (Apostasy)". After sidestepping for 20 minutes he finally said, "Yes". Disgusting.

    • May 16, 2010

What's disgusting about it? Think about it. If you commit treason against your country, what's the punishment? Death, right? So if you commit treason against your religion, doesn't it stand to reason that it's the same punishment?

      • May 16, 2010

Bhaloo don't be a simpleton. Treason is not a fair comparison. Treason against the US is punishable by death… however denouncing your citizenship, turning in your passport, moving to another company and badmouthing the US as a crummy place to live is NOT something you would be punished for. Take another shot at justifying this barbarism masked as religion.

        • May 17, 2010

  21. May 12, 2010

Thanks, David. I will post this article on my web site:

  22. May 12, 2010

The ironic thing is in many universities, I believed Holocaust and Genocide studies were still a strongly pushed part of the curriculum. It has been taught for 60 plus years. At some point the two forces here, sympathy to psychopaths and the study of genocide, have to face off. They cannot both exist in the same body of academia. It is like Slavery and the tenet that "All Men are Created Equal" in the US Founding Documents. The moment a nation was set up with both the seeds were planted for a Civil War because both cannot coexist in the same body.

  23. May 12, 2010

The problem is the 1960s-70s radicals adopted mideastern causes because they were allied with the USSR, and it was the whole Comintern basis for social activism, this was ideologically insane because the USSR preached gender equality, religion as an opiate of the masses to be separate from the state, and social justice as the core of the party. Radical islam preached subjugation of women, religion as not only the core of the state but the state itself, and subjugation and pogrom against those of different religious views or theories, even inside islamic communities, dissenters, religious theorists etc.

  24. May 12, 2010

I kinda knew where it was going because I saw the transcript on HotAir beforehand……still, she seemed very reasonable at first( and in my humble opinion, pretty, pity the keffiyeh) and perhaps good strong example of a woman who can hold her own in Islam…………and then she got snarky………and then it got worse. Much worse.

    • May 12, 2010

Reasonably arrogant and evil at first, then downhill from there – you have to put her in the right perspective of where she is coming from, what the student group she represents and champions promulgates.

    • May 14, 2010

what was she wearing under that heavy coat? An explosive vest? It sure wasn't brains..

  25. May 12, 2010

The thing was, it was a geopolitical alliance with the USSR trying to get influence in the mideast after the departure of the British and French from the area. It was one of convienience and the radicals in the US and the West followed into it hook line and sinker. Now, ironically, after the collapse of the USSR they are still tied into something that if they were ideologically honest they should oppose with every fiber of their being but which they support for the same old reason – it is set against America, democracy, individuality and freedom and therefore they consider it a friend.

Once you understand this, you see that the dogmas and doctrines the hard leftists who dig the jihadists preach is meaningless next to their belief that it is a common interest in attacking America and freedoms in general around the world that are most important and that unite them.

Academics who really give a damn, if there are many left in the big universities, should look to this and think hard.

  26. May 12, 2010

I wish someone could explain to me why this Jew and Christian hating individual, who has obviously grown up in America, is permitted to speak against our country in her support of Hamas is not taken into custody by Homeland Security. She and her ilk are a threat to all of the above, not by profiling but by her own words.

She….who would appear a sweet, intelligent young lady is a potential murdered of her classmates. Women are wearing bombs frequently due to most believing they would do no such thing. As such she should be put on the terrorist list and investigated before we witness first hand the mass killing in San Diego; especially on the UCSD Campus.

    • May 12, 2010

She's allowed to speak because, thank God, this is still America. We should be especially grateful that she's allowed to babble anything she wants without fear of reprisals (despite her ludicrous "fear" that she will be arrested by Homeland Security) because otherwise she would never have given as clear and chilling a demonstration of exactly what her opinions are. Hateful? Yes. But better in the open than festering in the dark.

      • May 13, 2010

AGREED. Yes, and thanks for mentioning it.

      • May 13, 2010

I agree in principle, but what is your answer to the dilemma that the producers of South Park faced? South Park pokes fun at just about anybody they notice – they're an equal opportunity offender – bot they were forced to bleep certain things because they had a teddy bear named muhammad, and they were afraid of reprisals from Muslims – including credible death threats. Where does our precious first amendment stand in the face of this sort of threat?

Muslims are using our own freedoms to bring us down and destroy those freedoms. Is the Constitution a suicide pact?

        • May 20, 2010

I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. Do the producers and writers of South Park have the right to make fun of anything and everything, including things I believe in? Absolutely. Do people have the right to make death threats as a result? Not at all. Credible death threats don't come under the free speech clause.

It is certainly true that there is a tension between free and civil speech, and that tension has resulted in a number of court cases, some of them with good outcomes and some without. My own personal touchstone is if it makes me uncomfortable but inspires no real fear, then it's protected. The problem there is that that's the source of a good deal of the campus speech codes in the nation. Ultimately, it's a decision the courts should be making – which is yet another reason to push for decent judges.

      • May 16, 2010

I'm wondering, what DOES constitute treason? I mean, does a person have to be passing military secrets to the enemy? Is that the only reason? Just asking….

    • May 13, 2010

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

      - First Amendment to the United States Constitution

And therein we need to take note: Islam is NOT a religion. It's a totalitarian political system that derives its authority from the divine revelation given to the cult leader. It's by definition subversive and has a stated objective of abolishing the US Constitution, including the first amendment, and replacing it with Sharia law.

I once took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Do professed enemies of the constitution who seek it's destructuion deserve the protections it provides? Answer carefully, our future may depend on it.

This girl is actually my student; I know her to be an intelligent, moral young woman who believes in peace. I do not support any organization that advocates violence against any specific group, nor do I believe that my student would do so. As a peace loving, Catholic teacher, I'm saddened that this speaker–her elder–manipulated the conversation in this fashion to make her look like someone she isn't, out of an egotistical desire to prove his own point, rather than engaging in a constructive dialogue. A perfect example of why the peace process is limping foward so painfully.

    • May 12, 2010

So peace loving that she is "manipulated" into admitting she supports genocide of Jews?

No wonder, with professors like you, that she is such a mess!

      • May 13, 2010

OK, I apologize for assuming from your comment that you were a professor. I'll say 10 Hail Marys.

If your boss doesn't fire you for your stupidity then the comment can be transferred to them without reservation.

      • May 15, 2010

    • May 12, 2010

Riiight. Because asking a simple "yes or no" question regarding one's support for Hamas is so clear an example of rhetorical manipulation by an egotist. Perhaps the peace process is "limping forward so painfully", in part, because UCSD history graduate students such as yourself fail to acknowledge that, despite however peaceful their in-class assignments or discussion sections may appear, students such as Ms. Bahri are not desirous of "engaging in a constructive dialogue" but , by their own admission, indeed support a terrorist "organization that advocates violence against any specific group".

      • May 16, 2010

There are many things that can not be answered as yes or no questions.
"Is the USA right?" can not be answered that way. See? you are already saying
"right about what"? The same can be said about problem that can not be answered using arithmetic.
Requiring a yes or no question in almost any complex topic is either foolish, malevolent or at least intellectually dishonest.

        • May 16, 2010

He asked her very simple probing question. She could have answered it a number of ways. Like yes I support their work to help the Palestinian people through hospitals and such but no I do not support their military wings goal of the eradication of the Jews. Gee would that have been so hard to say if it was true? But no she wavered because she is just as blinded by hate as you. That is very evident. I hope that all of you radical fringe muslims understand one thing and one thing only attacking the US by terror or by open warfare will only get more of your brethren killed. Cause enough disruption to our way of life and we won't buckle to your way of thinking instead we will be yelling for a couple hours of shock and awe being brought down on Mecca and the Dome of the rock until neither is standing. You will not change our belief in freedom but you just might get yourself killed and those places holy to you razed.

    • May 12, 2010

"a perfect example of why the peace process is limping forward so painfully"

Let's analyze that. Is it moving forward? Do groups who call for the destruction of the other side move anything peace-related forward?

Is their any peace process at all? If so, what is it? Is it Iranian sponsored? Syrian sponsored? UN sponsored? What do you see that I don't?

a perfect example? Or how about Iranian arms smuggled into Gaza? Wouldn't that be an even more perfect example of why there is no peace?

How does a Jewish man engage into constructive dialogue with "an intelligent, moral young woman" student of yours who invites him to a Hitler Youth week event? And, his choosing not to have anything to do with that, makes you think THIS is a perfect example of why the peace process is limping forward?

I can't see how anyone who starts off with that gets credit for attempting to engage in constructive dialogue. I also can't see how anyone who pulls up the shade on such a person gets called an egotistical manipulator. Please explain.

      • May 12, 2010

are you aware that "Hitler Youth Week" was Horowitz' pejorative attack on the Muslim students??

You might want to do a little research before commenting.

        • May 13, 2010

Do you always strain at gnats while you miss the entire point. She did say 'Hilter Youth Week' and later, 'FOR it'. What do you suppose she was trying to do? Engage constructively? Care to answer? As for doing more research, have you considered looking into Mr Horowitz' lectures, and that Mr Horowitz deals with this kind of atmosphere regularly, and can certainly surmise what is going on, even if you choose not to? Or do you just rely on a ready made opinion of him? Perhaps you could follow your own advice instead of dismissing the obvious. Of course, if that is all you wish to do, or are able to, then do it proudly. Good luck.

    • May 12, 2010

Ms. Casavantes, one doubts that a genuine "peace loving, Catholic teacher", would be an apologist for the Islamic fascists at UCSD who openly support a new Holocaust of the Jews. The hate campaigns of the MSA at UCSD would be loudly opposed by a university actually dedicated to civil rights.

But at UCSD, where a mass murderer named Che Guevara has a building named in honor of him, isn't really a place where genuine peace and freedom are welcome, is it?

    • May 12, 2010

Then she fooled you, Prof. Casavantes.

    • May 12, 2010

"This girl is actually my student; I know her to be an intelligent, moral young woman who believes in peace."

She may say she believes in "peace." But you may need to precisely define the term, because her definition may not align neatly with yours. In Islam, there are exactly two camps: the "Dar al-Islam," or "House of Islam," and the "Dar al-Harb," or "House of War." Kindly note that Muslims are under no obligation to be truthful to "kufr" such as yourself.

"I do not support any organization that advocates violence against any specific group, nor do I believe that my student would do so."

I'm supposed to ignore the fact that she flatly stated she is for a particularly odious tenet of Hamas–i.e., killing all Jews–in favor of your attestation to the contrary.

Hmm . . . doesn't pass the giggle test. Sorry.

"As a peace loving, Catholic teacher,"

I'm going to have to ask you what you mean by "peace," since I am starting to suspect your definition may not be the same as mine . . .

While you're at it . . . please define "Catholic" precisely, as well; I am a practicing Catholic, and I suspect your definition may not be the same as mine . . .

    • May 12, 2010

Thank you! I just don't understand this group think that assumes this young woman automatically to be evil because she has a different view on a complex situation. Palestinains AND the Jewish people are suffering.

      • May 12, 2010

Yes, it's very complex when someone asks if you're for or against rounding up all the Jews in one place (so it's easier to finish them off).
The Muslima gave a simple answer: she's in favor. Did you not understand it?

It's also very "complex" when "Palestinians" return to the hospitals where they were given free medical treatment, just to blow up the Israelis who helped them. It's very "complex" when Muslims make it clear that their main goal is to kill Jews–any Jews, anywhere.

The root of the "complex situation" is the hatred and violence written into the heart of Islam. Everything else is secondary. But even many Israelis refuse to see this simple truth and keep believing that if they're nice to the Muslims, the Muslims will be nice to them. It is the Israelis who actually want peaceful coexistence. The Muslims want genocide–as their religion dictates.

      • May 12, 2010

Sorry, when someone asks if you are in favor of rounding up all the jews into once place so it is easier to hunt them down, and you respond yes…. you are clearly evil.

      • May 14, 2010

"she has a different view" – yes, I would say supporting the killing of Jews and Hitler Youth Week is quite a "differing view". And it is an evil one.

If you don't realize that then you really need to look carefully at what morality really is.

    • May 12, 2010

“I know her to be an intelligent, moral young woman who believes in peace.”

I’m having a bit of an issue with the definition of “moral” in the context you’re offering here. Unless you want to preface the word “moral” with “relatively” you’re way off the mark. What sort of peace does she believe in? The sort of peace that can only be realized when all the Jews are dead? The ony adjective I can’t argue is “intelligent”, but then, I know a few intelligent people who are truly and insufferably abrasive, abusive and unreasonable.

“As a peace loving, Catholic teacher, I’m saddened that this speaker–her elder–manipulated the conversation in this fashion to make her look like someone she isn’t,”

Watch the video again and pay close attention. She wasn’t manipulated into saying “For it.” The speaker was offering a dialog that occurred in the past between himself and another person and she interrupted with her own answer.

“I do not support any organization that advocates violence against any specific group, nor do I believe that my student would do so.”

What part of, “For it, ” are you having trouble understanding? What part of proudly inviting others to “Hitler Youth” festivities are you have trouble understanding?

You’re in complete denial. It’s right in front of your face and you choose not to see. This young woman supports the genocide (or at the VERY least complete subjugation) of Jews. She supports “Hitler Youth”.

      • May 12, 2010

You are sounding ignorant. ( sorry to be so blunt ).

"hitler youth week" was Horowitz' characterization of the MSA event.

        the woman was being sarcastic.

this entire episode is nothing more than an immature young woman allowing herself to get angry and be manipulated by a provocateur.

        • May 13, 2010

That was my misunderstanding. I with draw the comment. Thank you.

        • May 13, 2010

Actually, to be clear, I withdraw the Hitler Youth comment. The rest stands.

    • May 12, 2010

Anita, stick to your Cuban history, plz . You are playing outside your area of expertise here.

    • May 12, 2010

No wonder, with professors like you, that she is such a mess!. You shoud be removed from the podium immidiatly. You have no right to teach. Remember one thing-she would nail you to the cross and cut your head off just because you are Infidel.

    • May 12, 2010

This is the most rediculous thing I ever heard anyone say! So, you are now going to deny the fact that she admitted to being a full supporter of Hamas and the Curan?? This woman was NOT shoved into a conner, she has a CLEAR and PRESENT agenda. Wake up if you want to keep your peaceful life. If this woman was not for Hamas, she did not have to state so, now did she? A very large part of Hamas is the deception…. " Ah, presenting two points of view, VERY USEFUL"…. Wake up!!!!

    • May 12, 2010

I guess you don't know her as well as you thought you did.

    • May 13, 2010

      A. Casavantes is not just a liar (she is a grad student, not a teacher), but SHE is the example of why there is no peace in the world today: blaming the victim for the hate of the bigot. How is asking a direct question "manipulating a conversation", much less in an "egotistical" fashion? I guess to the sick hatemonger, a 'constructive dialogue" is one where everyone lies about the victim, and openly discusses how to commit genocide on them.

    • May 13, 2010

I believe that you are being naive about the fundamental beliefs of Islam. Your student may be "peaceful" in your classroom, but she knows that openly admitting to some of the more horrific tenants of Islam would surprise and offend those non-Muslims whom she knows. She even said so. She admitted that she wants all Jews in Israel so they could be more easily killed. She cannot condemn Hamas or Hizbola because it would deny the Islamic beliefs that all infidels should be killed, especially Jews and Christians. It is in the Koran, the basis for her belief system. Osama bin Ladin explained this in that Jews and Christians love life and Muslims love death.

    • May 13, 2010

If you are suggesting that Mr Horowitz used metal telepathy to get this girl to mouth words she didn't mean, then you should should be more concerned with why your pupils are so easily manipulated. I think you would do well to add a dash of teaching on the importance of individual thought into your educational rubric. Just because you know someone to be a "sweet" person does not mean they do not hold some very archaic ideas. Look at how many serial killers (not making a comparison to this girl here) have documentaries made about them in which there are next to zero people in their circle of friends or family who ever thought this person had the ability to do the terrible things they did. Most peoples superficial, made for societies, side does very little to inform you as to who they really are. You stated that 'the peace process is limping forward so painfully." Do you see any culpability from your student on this?

    • May 13, 2010

It appears you jumped on the bandwagon in March with the noose incident (hung up by a black student to energize the campus reaction to the Compton Party) as well. You'd think that after that incident you might have learned not to knee jerk your responses. Or maybe you approve of such devious and dangerous tactics?

TIme to tell your advisor (Luis Alvarez) you need some remediation in common sense 101, or isn't that part of your revisionist approach to history?

    • May 13, 2010

How foolish you are to believe that she was manipulated. Or how foolish you are to try to manipulate us! Did she not answer his question the minute she said "Are you asking me to put myself on a cross?" and her next clarification of "I don’t think you understood what I meant by that. I meant if I say something, I am sure that I will be arrested, for reasons of homeland security."
She was trying to get away without answering her beliefs which she clearly knows are immoral and wrong if not illegal.
You have the gall to defend her and accuse Horowitz? That is rich! people like you are the problem today. You not only allow fanatics to thrive in our society but you defend them and try to shift blame on people who would expose them.

Maybe you should not be an educator at all with such an inability to see facts and a tendency to try to place responsibility on people trying to expose the intent of people who would see others in their graves.

    • May 13, 2010

With all due respect, I hope you are not teaching any courses that impact thinking, basket weaving would probably be okay. I say this because you obviously lack the maturity to understand the problem here. Yes, the speaker was able to get her to say what she believed. He didn't put those words in her mouth. She might be all that you say she is, yet she is for gathering all the jews in one place to avoid hunting them down.

By the way, I am a peace loving Catholic as well, so I wouldn't want your opinion to represent the majority of peace loving Catholics.

    • May 13, 2010

      Ms. Casavantes,

She's "moral"? No, she's a barbarian. Any human being who advocates that a group of people be located together so that they need not be hunted is a barbarian. "An egotistical desire to prove his own point"? Your pathetic. I'm Catholic too and I know your kind. Gutless, never take a stand, "can't we all just get along" wimps. BTW, this fat barbarian would be just as happy to round up us Catholics as she would to round up Jews.

    • May 13, 2010

Please look up the term "Taqiyya". Then go to your campus library and find the book "A God Who Hates" by Wafa Sultan. In that book, she tells you waht the intelligent, moral, peaceful Muslims are saying when there aren't any Khaffirs in earshot.

Hopefully, you will learn something about what you speak, and not be such a useful idiot.

      • May 19, 2010

Oh wow what a book!! It explains everything about those intelligent, moral, peaceful Muslims. Wafa Sultan nailed it. The best book in the world if you want to know anything about Islam.

    • May 14, 2010

      Dr. Casavantes,

Either you are not too bright or are gullible. Your hideous moral equivalency is shocking. Exactly, how did Horowitz manipulate this girl? Stop infantilizing Muslims. She is an adult, not a child. She was asked a simple question, she gave an answer.

You're right, this is why a peace agreement is not possible. Blind hatred of Jews. It never ceases to amaze me the lengths the far left will go to offer apologia for Muslim anti-semitism. Of course Israle never gets excuses from the likes of wing nuts like Casavantes.

For the good of the University and your students, I call on you to resign sir.

      Dr. Stuart A. Weinstein

    • May 14, 2010

Thanks for confirming my impression that university professors are fools who have no connection to the real world; and who make their living avoiding accountability. Your student is a grown-up, and should be held accountable for her statements and actions – and you should lose your tenure for being a stooge.

    • May 14, 2010

It doesn't matter if she is intelligent and "moral". Her heart is black with hate towards Jews & probably Christians too, because anyone who is not a muslim & will not convert is an infidel. Listen to her speak again. She was not manipulated. She showed her support for Hamas & her hatred of the Jews. We all need to wake up & realize that we have hate & murder walking among us everyday. The muslims are at war with us…even American muslims. They have infiltrated us & are continuing to do so with the blessings of our Gov't. Imagine, building a 13 story Mosque & community center by the World Trade Center & planning to celebrate its opening on 9/11/11. They're celebrating their victory. Please open your eyes. We all need to before it's too late.

    • May 14, 2010

She answered a direct question whether she would support all Jews being in one place where they would not have to be (rounded up) globally. She replied she would support that. It couldn't have been plainer – she was not manipulated. I think she proved who and what she is. Political correctness will be our downfall.

    • May 14, 2010

Did you miss the part in which she agrees to the hope that all Jews would gather in Israel to be annihilated????

    • May 15, 2010

Are you freaking blind? I know you're obviously a leftist Marxist , and therefore, not an actual catholic, but are you freaking kidding me? SHE ADMITTED THAT SHE SUPPORTS THE GENOCIDE OF THE JEWISH PEOPLE!!!! Did you even watch the entire video, or is your own Antisemitism keeping you from seeing that this girl is no better than the idiots who flew 2 planes into the World Trade Center, a plane into the Pentagon, and a 4th into a field in Pennsylvania. Does the fact that you're on the Left Coast make you think that this terrorist won't kill you just because you taught her some leftist point of view? GET REAL!

    • May 15, 2010

She believes in peace? Was that the topic? Interesting….

'What we are doing is making a sacrifice in the interest of peace. ' Hitler Jan 30, 1941 Berlin Sports Palace

… Hitler said he wanted peace too. We know how that went.

    • May 15, 2010

Her replies were not moral, nor peaceful. Who cares about the debate?? She expressed her true feelings when push came to shove. Her over peace overtures in your class must simply be a cover-up of her monstrous idealogies. Be careful in who you classify as peaceful and hateful. Looks like you were wrong.

    • May 15, 2010

If you are indeed a prof. my only comment is that you should be fired and not allowed to spend any more time with students teaching them to be pacifist dummys. You have been drinking way to much of the kool-aid. You probably don't like people like Gleen Beck , you probably like Allen Colmbs.

    • May 15, 2010

Nobody made her answer 'for it' – she could have just said, I'm for peace, not murder. She had a choice & she revealed her true beliefs. Just b/c she may not act personally in the violence, she does nothing to stop it either… you can't believe in peace & harbor hatred for innocent people. She is clearly worships a 'deceiver' and his name is Satan.

    • May 16, 2010

Thank you for bringing a much-needed dose of reality to this conversation, Casavantes.

    • May 16, 2010

This answer captures the essence of the Israel conflict. The Muslim girl openly states that she wants to extinct every Jew from the face of the earth. Yet some "intellectual" western thinks that the problem is that the Jew is tricking her into saying this and claims that there will never be any peace until the Jews stop doing this. Amazing.

    • May 17, 2010

You are a university professor and should be able to think clearly. She states that she supports Hamas and genocide of the Jewish people and you criticize those who expose her. She has posted a comment since stating "Death to Israel". Death to Israel and the people who live there. And you say she is a moral girl. Here is a little hint for you: Moral people do not wish to kill an entire group of innocent people. Your thinking is distorted and sick.

    • May 17, 2010

The best reason why the peace process is limping forward so painfully is that a number of people are feeling and speaking like your student. Since she is obviously an adult, you don't have to treat her like a child brutalized by an elder person.
You can repeat that she looked like someone she isn't, but you are speaking in a vaccum, for what she is appeared very clearly to all but you: she is someone who is for "it" (the second and last Holocaust of Jews), unrepentent as shown in her non-apology, and putting the blame for her fault on others. The first step for a change of attitude is admitting having a problem. She stays in total denial and refuses to withdraw any of her outrageous comments supporting Hamas and Hezbollah, never condemning anything specific about them.
How can anyone believe she is not the anti-Semitic genocidal racist she appeared to be? That is beyond me. Political agenda?

    • May 17, 2010

The reason the peace process is limping forward is because of radical Islam and its followers who wish to eradicate the Jews. I say radical Islam, because there are numerous Muslims who do not believe in the radical movement or violence, several of who are my friends.

You say she is a peace-loving, intelligent, and moral girl, yet she openly and publicly agrees with the extermination of the Jews. What??? She cannot be both. You say she was manipulated in the conversation, but I say she was exposed for what she truly is. Her question, even after the relatively pleasant intro she gave, was sarcastic and pointed in itself. You do not think that she had an agenda when she asked it? Why was he wrong for putting her in her place and showing those in the auditorium, and later the nation, what type of hatred exists on college campuses?

    • May 17, 2010

"…a moral young woman who believes in peace" — Just what we need blind and deaf professors. She said in her own word that she was for the idea of all jews being located in on place "so they wouldn't have to be hunted down around the world," with the clear implication of killing them all. This is not what a moral young woman who believes in peace would agree to and you, sir are blind, deaf and part of the reason our education system is such a mess.

    • June 2, 2010

Casavantes, you piece of leftist flotsam!
As with most "teachers" on college campuses today, you have NO CLUE of the
real world! Horowitz did not bait her in any way shape or form. I have little doubt you have used
the very same methods when conversing with your OWN STUDENTS. You hypocrite!
This woman admitted she wants to see Jews killed. How CAN you, as a "peace loving" Catholic support this individual and maintain a clear conscience?!
This, and I use the term loosely "American" has the right to say it, but I have the right to reject it!

  28. May 12, 2010

All this exists because up until now, no politician has the guts to call it out… they have been ass kissers for any vote… even if it is Muslim haters… because the liberals shamed most americans into thinking that if they stood up to all the "can't we all get along" and the politically correct bullcrap… there was something wrong with them… not the haters.
so get off your asses and go after these people by calling them out, arresting and deporting the hatred on "hate laws" and clean up America or it will become a sewer with all these foreign muslim haters.

    • May 12, 2010

Exactly, James! This is the fruit of political correctness.

    • May 16, 2010

Muslim haters are the problem? They could just all go back where they came from, and there would BE no problem. They could have their "covers" and women bashing shariah, and leave us alone. They contribute nothing to make America good, including our half breed president.

  29. May 12, 2010

It is only a matter of time; hatred like this cannot last forever – people will wake up and see the horrors of what occurs. It is up to us to spread our knowledge and our awareness to every single person we know… only then will radical islams be stopped, jailed and (hopefully) wiped off the face of this planet forever… and rotting in hell.

  30. May 12, 2010

Thousands of these people have moved into my neighborhood over the last decade or so. This woman make and her compatriots are very scary. Every time I see one in a niqab and look down to see male feet in the sandals I want to call the police. Do you think I should?

    • May 12, 2010

Call the FBI first then your local police.

      • May 14, 2010

Ah, no genius. They have every right to dress and walk freely in our country. That is the beauty of America. Would you have Hasidim Jews cut their payos (side curls) and stop wearing black clothes or the women stop shaving their heads after marriage? If you have a substantiated, reasonable belief that the people are engaging in talk about planning to over throw the US or state government, a terrorist attack, or to physically harm someone else THEN you take that information to the police, FBI and Homeland Security. Is it scary? Of course, but you don't target them simply for their religious preferences…hello! Many are here in the US to worship as they want, not as dictated to them by over-zealous fundamentalists or 12ers. Many are moderate. I don't agree, but I don't have to so long as they don't force their religion onto me or threaten myself or my country.

        • May 17, 2010

And many are here to have *you* worship as they want… or else. Get it? You will.

  31. May 12, 2010

I feel sorry for people who have to see, live among and deal with these azzhat Muslim haters; I live in a part of California that is relatively free of what “big city” folks have to put up with. But I’m not holding my breath; it’s probably only a matter of time before this filth moves into EVERY neighborhood in the USA! All I can say is that we must be ever vigilant – and ready – when the time comes to take action – and take no prisoners!!

  32. May 12, 2010

At least we know how they think!

  33. May 12, 2010

This is why an alliance was formed between Muslims and the Nazis during World War II. They think exactly alike.

  34. May 12, 2010

David took down the mealy-mouthed virago with clinical precision. With her 'ah's and 'um's and attitude (look at me! I talk so well!), her use of her full 5-barreled name, her appalling invitation to Hitler Youth Week, her condescension – everything was meant to provoke. David did right to puncture her balloon.

I'm not up to snuff on legal matters, but doesn't what she said qualify as an incitement-to-hate-crime or something? Could somebody explain why she isn't being sued (if in fact she isn't)?

    • May 12, 2010

that's only the beginning of what you are "not up to snuff on".

for starters, try the fact that "Hitler Youth Week" was Horowitz's pejorative name for the event- one intended to provoke. It was successful.

      • May 14, 2010

If you are a proud member of the "Religion of Peace," shouldn't you be above being provoked by words?

        Nice try, Kimmy

      • June 13, 2010

I’ll tell you what provocation is:

Muslim women carrying placards saying ‘Be prepared for the real Holocaust’… that’s provocation.

A Muslim child (a child!) carrying a placard saying ‘Kill the Jews’…that’s provocation.

A Muslim moron carrying a placard saying “Death to the Juice’…that’s provocation.

Islamic terrorists singling out a Jewish family for torture and death during the Mumbai Mayhem…that’s provocation.

Islamic scripture that speak of Jews as apes and pigs…that’s provocation.

A hadith from Bukhari, ‘The Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them and the stones behind which they hide will say, ‘O Muslim, O Slave of Allah, there’s a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him’…that’s provocation.

Dehumanizing a people to below the level of animals so that even stones find them revolting … this naked hate is beyond provocation.

In the face of all this provocation, Horowitz’s weak rejoinder cannot be termed provocation. You will observe in the video that the fat fraud did not crook her fingers to put air quotes around ‘Hitler Youth Week’ as much as to say ‘If you think it is Hitler Youth Week, so be it’. She knew what it was all about.

If you are a non-Muslim you ought to be ashamed of yourself, Kimmy the Dhimmi.
If you are a Muslim in sheep’s clothing, forget it; you wouldn’t know the meaning of being ashamed.

    @A. Casavantes

"He/She was a quiet person, kept to themselves….."

  37. May 12, 2010

    A. Casavantes.
    She could have said, "yes".
It is said that Hizb and Hamas aid Palestinians. They do. They maintain a dictatorship and insist on keeping them as cannon fodder for the destruction of Israel. Of course, cannon fodder has to be fed, so the two groups "aid" Palestinians.
There are any number of murderous regimes who took care of the potholes and the food for their own people, but were horrors to others.
She must know this–or you're not much of a teacher–and she could have said "yes".
Who, do you think, she was thinking about when she said she'd look bad?

  38. May 12, 2010

what bravery, he doesn't bother to show other side of coin. Muslims and jews co-lived peacefully for thousands of years. In Spain and afterwards under Turkish rule. This thing has huge baggage attached to political problem of Palestine and Israel and with continued US support to Israel without getting a zero progress on solution. what do you expect, you are going to brazenly forget whole history and accuse people.

    • May 12, 2010

Christians and Jews who lived under muslim rule lived as second-class citizens. They were not considered equals by their muslim rulers. Futhermore, Palestinians are not a separate people. They are simply Arabs who live in that area.

Israel occupied the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan Heights after their Arab neighbors invaded them and were defeated. Arabs tried to push the Jews into the sea, but they failed. They lost. Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and the other Arab nations could have re-settled the Arabs of the area within their borders, but it helps their cause to keep them in refugee camps.

When Germany lost World Wars I and II, the borders were adjusted. Areas that were previously German became Polish and Russian. How many Germans today are strapping on bombs and blowing up Polish women and children?

Arabs need to acknowledge that Israel is a reality. It is not going away. Arabs invaded on several occasions and failed. Case closed!

      • May 12, 2010

It was inBalfour Declaration of 1917 decided to create a state of israel and was created in Palestine land. Anyway what ever happened happened but now politician should resolve the issue instead of keeping it in the cold storage.
Jews were high ranking officials in (upto level of prime minister ) under muslim rule and they had their own code of law (law of moses), own judges. Please read little bit of history.
Anyway what is the point, the issue should be resolved. Individuals are emotional people and we can´t condemn whole people on individual cases. our politicians should make effort and try to resolve the issue as soon as possible so that innocent lives are not lost for personal political gain.

        • May 12, 2010

I am a Jew who originated from a muslim country(Iran) and in the late 1800s, before the state of Israel was ever created, my great grandparents suffered under a anti-jewish government. It got worse and worse until 1948, when massive riots and murders of jews became commonplace. It became so dangerous to live that my family fled the country.

True, Islamic countries were historically better for jews than christian countries, but it really all depended on who was leading the country at the time. In the past hundred years, treatment of jews in muslim countries deteriorated.

My family left everything behind–their home, their livelihood. But unlike the palestinians who insist on getting back the land their fathers left behind in '48, Iranian Jews like me got over what we lost and rebuilt our lives. Why can't the arabs do that? Are they not capable of taking care of themselves?

And zionists existed BEFORE the balfour declaration ever was declared. Jews began emigrating to Israel in the late 1800s to reclaim the land of our heritage.

        • May 12, 2010

And the issue will not be resolved until muslims and arabs can accept that jews can have Israel.

As a former resident of these so-called "gracious" muslim countries, I understand the muslim mindset better than the average american. Muslims cannot handle dhimmi owning land, especially jews. This is why muslims cannot accept a jewish state of israel. It undermines everything they believe in.

Israel is this tiny piece of land no bigger than new jersey, yet arabs and muslims go crazy that jews control the country. When the UN offered a two-state solution in 1948, giving the arabs more land and the jewish land divided with no safe way to access both, the arabs REJECTED this option and declared war on the fledging state hoping to push the jews "to the sea". It didn't work, and Israel got more land. Then, in '67, same thing happened, but instead of winning, the jews got more land.

Palestinians need to stop being such a crybaby and accept the fact that in their own stupidity, they lost everything and they should just accept Israel as a valid country and then, Israel would more than gladly have peace with their neighbors.

        • May 13, 2010

The Balfour declaration was able to be passed because the Mandate for Palestine was a British Protectorate, and TURKISH land – the Turkish Empire had fallen – yet another convenient omission of yours. There NEVER WAS A PALESTINE.

        • May 13, 2010

did you leave out the fact that she was also happily attending the hitler youth meeting? A little ditty that is getting a bit overlooked.

        • May 13, 2010

And a description of peacefully co-living in the 12thC, by Maimonides:

Remember, my co-religionists, that on account of the vast number of our sins, God has hurled us in the midst of this people, the Arabs, who have persecuted us severely, and passed baneful and discriminatory legislation against us, as Scripture has forewarned us, ‘Our enemies themselves shall judge us’ (Deuteronomy 32:31). Never did a nation molest, degrade, debase and hate us as much as they …. Although we were dishonored by them beyond human endurance, and had to put with their fabrications, yet we behaved like him who is depicted by the inspired writer, “But I am as a deaf man, I hear not, and I am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.” (Psalms 38:14). Similarly our sages instructed us to bear the prevarications and preposterousness of Ishmael in silence. They found a cryptic allusion for this attitude in the names of his sons “Mishma, Dumah, and Massa” (Genesis 25:14), which was interpreted to mean, “Listen, be silent, and endure.” (Targum Pseudo-Jonathan, ad locum). We have acquiesced, both old and young, to inure ourselves to humiliation, as Isaiah instructed us “I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair.” (50:6). All this notwithstanding, we do not escape this continued maltreatment which well nigh crushes us. No matter how much we suffer and elect to remain at peace with them, they stir up strife and sedition, as David predicted, “I am all peace, but when I speak, they are for war.” (Psalms 120:7). If, therefore, we start trouble and claim power from them absurdly and preposterously we certainly give ourselves up to destruction.”

      • May 13, 2010

good work you kind of shut down his point

      • May 14, 2010

The only time Jews enjoyed wide ranging rights was during the reign of the Saladins, the time of Maimonides. The Saladins were Kurds, and the Jews and Kurds, have gotten along for over 1000 years. But that does not reflect the normal experience of Jews living under Muslim rule within the Caliphate.

And while some posters claim the Jews suffered more in Europe than in the Caliphate, I find this a highly debatable proposition. There were a number of European Cities where Jews were free and even admired. Amsterdam comes to mind for example.

With respect to Palestine, the Palestinians, if they actually had any factual knowledge of history would know their nakbha happened in the 1920's when Britain gave Transjordan (primarily populated by what are today called Palestinians) to the Hashemite King Abdullah, whose namesake and great-grandson sits on the throne of Jordan today.

Thats when the "Palestinians" got screwed. Not by the creation of Israel.

Please read a real history book. Only then can an educated person have meaningful dialog with you.

    • May 13, 2010

Muhammad Ali, the one who does not history is you:

      a) as in modern times, Jews & other non-Muslims *only* lived in peace when they *accepted dhimmi status* – distinctly 2nd class & subject to Islam.

      b) there is no country called "Palestine" & never was – yet another lie promulgated by hatemongers.

There is no "other side of the coin" to Islamic terrorism – except the one YOU are deliberately leaving out.

    • May 13, 2010

Mr Ali, you know that muslims and jews did not co-live peacefully. Muslims lived as masters and jews lived as dhimmis, made to feel subdued and degraded, as per Koranic injunctions, and held in contempt by the rulers. A deliberately psychologically broken minority who were kept in that state by periodic outbursts of mass violence.

    • May 13, 2010

They weren't Muslims thousands of years ago. Islam started in the 600's A.D. Then, Jews had to pay the jizyah, a tax for not being Muslim. Otherwise, they faced slavery and/or death. You must go to UCSD.

    • May 13, 2010

The only times in history that Jews and Muslims lived together peacefully was when the Jews were living in a state of Dhimmitude to the Muslims and paying their Jizhya – protection money – to the Muslim powers that be. The Muslims like haveing some jews around, so they can periodically whip the crowds into a frenzy and go out and riot in the jewish neighborhoods. Lacking Jews, Hindus work just as well.

This is nothing new. In Medina, one afternoon Muhammad giggled as he oversaw the beheading execution of 800 men and boys of the jewish Banu Qarayza tribe. Their crime? They happened to be available when Muhammad failed to be victorious against attacking Meccan Arabs, and had to have someone to take it out on.

    • May 15, 2010

Off Topic Muhammad Ali, Topic. She is representing an extreme nature, not Muslims as a whole and that's not what David asked her… Calm Down.

    • May 16, 2010

      Part 1

Muhammad, I think that you are forgetting history quite conveniently.

For example, Muslims having Hitler Youth Day rallies? Why? Don't they (Muslims) know that they were next on the death camp list?

Hitler had no love for anything not German. Remember, Hitler murdered other people too. Everyone east of Germany was considered not worthy of life. Hilter used Muslims to help kill Jews and keep his idealology going. After he finished off all of the Jews, Muslims were next.

He was building Lieben Straum…(living space) to colonize Germans. He had no plans to keep Gypsies, Muslims, or anyone else around that he considered inferior.

    • June 2, 2010

I see the Muslim "activities" all across the globe today. I also sense a coming worldwide conflict between civilzation and the horrors of Islam. I refuse to worship a demon god and follow a demented warlord "prophet", that's the way it's gonna be. I will be voting to kick them all out.

  39. May 12, 2010

Hannah Arendt would have describe this woman with the terms: the banality of evil. We don't need to worry about those that look evil, but rather the ones that don't look evil. They are the ones that will produce the most destruction because we aren't expecting it.

  40. May 12, 2010

The Religion of Peace strikes again with huge doses of Tolerance and the ability to co-exist… As long as you conform to them and don't draw cartoons of their god (yeah, lower case on purpose guess what? if your god can't hack lower case he sucks)

  41. May 12, 2010

where is homeland security, and the aclu on this issue. you mean to tell me its ok to threaten to kill millions of people and walk the streets praising hitler in America? i remember about a year or so ago a family being torn apart because their kids were named after hitler, but its ok for this terrorist to stand there and say she is for the slaughter of millions of humans. if homeland security don't start doing their job, then i am afraid American civilians will have to do it for them. if its ok for her to call for the slaughter of millions of Jews and Christians then it should be ok for me to call for the deportation of all islamic and muslim terrorist in America. all americans and israelis should gather in protest and carry signs that say "get out or die", or signs that say "we are on the hunt for terrorist". that is what she is and that is what the msa is about. we should dismantle them. we should make them feel their own words. i am no longer scared. i am pissed off!!!!! time to give hate a dose of their own medicine.

    • May 13, 2010

I totally agree but unfortunately if Homeland security was called it would simply Their time to be in the spot light as the "victims" it would also stir up more civil unrest.
In a perfect world we would not have to deal with this but guess what our world sucks a left one!

    • May 16, 2010

You're an idiot. The ACLU won a big case in the 70's for the AMERICAN NAZIS. Also, the Constitution doesn't apply to just citizens, it applies to all people within US jurisdiction. Do some research before you open your big dumb mouth. And the rest of you "Let's kill them all for saying all of someone else should be killed." Morons and hypocrites. That's why America is failing, because it's citizens are just dumb couch potatoes who can't be bothered to figure out what's really going.

  42. May 12, 2010

this is just the right time for all real Americans to exclude the words "political correctness" from our lexicon, but include the words like "ENEMIES" and "TREASON". They are here, they dare to speak openly, their next step is action! We should act first in order to keep alive our country and our children!!!

When has ANY Zionist and/or pro-Jewish group ever stated they want to eliminate the Palestinians? They say thety want either that they should return to those Arab countries they came from.
At a minimum that the land should be shared.
The only exterminationist's are the Arabs as proved by those groups like Hamas and Hizbullah.
Thank God for a man like david exposing the filth we areb importing on our shores only because of Arab oil/blood money.
Before someone asks for the Jews to return where THEY came from, they HAVE…
It is, was and always will be, called the land of Israel/Judea!

  44. May 12, 2010

What we saw is not scary – it is reality. Our kids are in danger – yes they are and we have to unite and to push back to protect our kids. Condemning MSA is not going to help. Now we know how they fill about Jews, Christians, Americans, all of us-Infidel’s.
By the way-I am very proud to be an Infidel.
We can’t have and let another Holocaust to happen.
I am from Latvia and saw Nazis gas chambers, mass graves, concentration camps.
My message to all Infidel haters – you will not simply leave us alone, but we will not let you to destroy the World and Civilization.

  49. May 12, 2010

I'm From england & i should tell you guys from america that you all need to take action sooner rather than later against this islamic death cult because in my country in birmingham there are actually official signs up in the street saying & i quote (No Whites after 7.00pm) and our govermants stance on this is that it is for our own safety. These area's with these signs up are called Muslim area's. In my opinion islamic faith is nothing more than an out dated 1300 year old death cult that is structured in such a way that it targets non – believers into either converting or migrating away from muslim area's or in some exstreme cases resulting in death of non-believers. All muslims get their teachings from one source which is the Qu'ran therefore i can differentiate so called moderate muslims from exstreme muslims.

    • May 13, 2010

"in my country in birmingham there are actually official signs up in the street saying & i quote (No Whites after 7.00pm)"

This little snippet was a shock to me so I researched this further. I have found absolutely no photographic evidence of this and no reliable source making this claim. If you can substantiate the claim, please do. If not, then you should refrain from using rumor and conspiracy theories to make a case against Islamism.

Allowing falsehoods and conspiracy theory to enter the conversation cheapens it and diminishes the impact of the true issue.

    • May 14, 2010

You are 100% correct…..all these pro MSA American non- Muslims have to read the Koran and at least 3 Hadiths like Bukari, Tabari and Muslim before they comment on any of these topics. I cam away after reading the Koran and 3 Hadiths shocked, I really had no idea that a "Religion" could have lasted 1400 years with the insane teachings… is the most racist, hatred of Humanity I ever read. Please people read what Muslims are taught before you criticize a person trying to tell you the truth….these people are taught to KILL all non- belevers or take them as slaves if needed. That is the bottom line. Anyome who can come away with another view simply doesn't comprehend the written language.

    • May 14, 2010

    • June 2, 2010

I saw the video where the British government guy goes into the Muslim establishment and a Muslim cleric starts shouting "How DARE you enter into a Muslim place." This was somewhere in London I believe! Please don't invite these supremist kooks into your neighborhood or you and everyone in it will be so sorry. I see absolutely nothing good about Islam, and Britain better wake up or they'll be even more screwed.

  50. May 12, 2010

David, you're correct. Islam is first of all an ideology of conquest and plunder, hatred and death. It has been a curse on humanity from the beginning. I grieve for England and the rest of Europe. The elites are throwing away the greatest civilization ever created, and giving it to one of the ugliest. It may go down as the most shocking tragedy in the history of human culture.

    • May 13, 2010

No, it won't, because if it happens, it won't be mentioned in the history books. Muslims have rewritten history before, they won't hesitate to do so again.

    • May 15, 2010

After seeing this video, perhaps it's time to to grieve for American as well. Ya Think??

    • May 16, 2010

I suggest you pick up a copy of Islam: Empire of Faith by PBS, and get an objective view instead of the filthy ideas you have about Islam

  51. May 12, 2010

Another Zionist who believes anyone who disagrees with Israel is an anti-Semite and that all Muslims are Nazis. Tell me, who can criticize Israel's actions without being called a Nazi?

    • May 12, 2010

The ones that can criticize Israel's actions without being called a Nazi are the ones that can do so without endorsing genocide, politicide, demicide or any other -cide.

If you want peace, then acting offensively and calling for blood doesn't quite help along the process.

    • May 13, 2010

When someone says she would like to see all the Jews rounded up in one place so it's easier to exterminate them all, how exactly is that NOT anti-Semitic?

David's question was not about agreeing with Israel. It was about whether the Jews have a right to exist anywhere. The Muslima thinks they don't.

    • May 13, 2010

Disagreeing with Israel is not the same as wishing all the Jews could be in Israel so they could be more easily wiped out.

  52. May 12, 2010

Why do you fail to understand that one can be indifferent to Hamas, which is not at all the same as supporting it?

    • May 13, 2010

how can you be indifferent to a group that supports genocide you either support their actions or condone them

    • May 13, 2010

Are you indifferent to Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung?

    • May 13, 2010

The question was not "are you for or against Hamas". It was "are you for or against gathering all the Jews in one place so they'll be easier to wipe out." And she was for it!

    • May 14, 2010

When referring to something evil, like killing non-combatants in the cause of a “religion”, not condemning is supporting. When the hezbollah fighters retreated into Lebanon into muslim civilian neighborhoods, removed their combatant dress, and were allowed to disappear into the crowd, they were being protected by the so-called peace loving muslims.

  53. May 12, 2010

I expect she would have second thoughts if in the next holocaust 6 millions muslims were butchered the same way as the Jews.

i'd laugh at it all if your reaction was not such a poor reflection upon America

    • May 12, 2010

Last I checked, America was condemned by people who were against the mass murder of innocents.

Now you're saying that opposing such things are a "poor reflection"? That makes no sense.

    • May 13, 2010

In your dreams, KimmyFerris. Your pretense that it's just a "silly incident" is worse than "hysterical. emotional or sensational,. & the true "poor reflection on America." What you call "the Left" would be just as "hysterical, emotional and sensational" if, say Rush Limbaugh or some Rightwing moron made just as badly evil a statement about innocent people, the way this girl did.

There's no anger in her face or voice when she very calmly says "For it" in answer to the question. And she's already admitted that she supports Hamas — which has the same views she's revealed into defending. (If you support Hamas and Hezbollah then you're a Nazi, btw.)

Would you make this exact same argument — and be such an apologist for anti-Semitism — if instead of being an "oppressed female minority" she was a male, redneck, neo-Nazi skinhead who said the same thing? Would you have even bothered to comment? Are you even aware that you're racist?

BTW, I'd encourage you to read my post this morning, you're falling into the same predictable pattern:

        • May 14, 2010

Hey – now THAT'S the stupid Left-Liberal emotional, sensational, hysterical (whatever) response you were looking for! Good job!

    • May 13, 2010

The left shows a reasonable, clear-headed sympathy for the concept of rounding up and exterminating all Jews. It's only hysterical people who react emotionally to that idea.

It's a safe bet that most people on the right know more than leftists do about the hateful, genocidal talk that Muslims spew in Arabic when they think the infidels aren't listening. And they're certainly paying better attention to what the Muslim mob is actually doing around the world. Have you ever heard of Ilan Halimi, just for example?

KimmyFerris has summed up the Obama approach to foreign policy. Criticism of any point of view, no matter how obnoxious, is oh so passe and out-of-touch with the new reality. We can only modify this young woman's point of view if we do not subject her to our own hostility. She is engaging in "free speech." Had she actually engaged in killing those she advocates killing, we would be compelled to consider carefully all extenuating circumstances – like the existence of Jews.

  55. May 12, 2010

The battle of Good vs Evil is ongoing, generation after geneation. Today we see it manifested in the
social groups of Life and Light and Death and Darkness, ever where you are in this and if you have
studied the history of our World it should not come as to great of a shock that you are on a list
somewhere that calls for your death, it is a brutal fact of life. To many people dance around the
ugly truth and before it is completely exposed and before you know it the blood flows, death makes
headway and everyone looses but the thirst for blood goes on and the rage endures. Are you a
good guy or a bad guy, if you are and honest person you can answer that simple question, if not
your impending death is the beginning of darkness and despair without solace…………William

    • May 14, 2010

You are only correct William in that as humans we will always have good and evil with us. But you fall of a cliff when you fail to recognize that evil is not a relative matter. Pulling the wings off of butterflies, even house flies, and killing innocent non-combatants will always be evil. Waxing eloquent only confuses the simple and perverts standing against evil. As you said, in that respect, all of us are “bad guys”. All true religions, in different ways, attempt to address, correct, or at least mitigate the evil in all of us. But islam is the work of a pillager who only found success after he 1) began to share the spoils with his pirates and 2) cloaked the evil of his rampages in what sounded to be religious. Most all of us recognize evil. Sooner or later most men want to have a value system and respect. To make it credible, even the qu’ran includes many virtues. But the qu’ran was created by a murderer and common thief and remains a cloak for evil.

  56. May 13, 2010

Thank you for all you do. Our president may not support a Israel, but I certainly do. I could not make it to your speech at UCSD, but I posted it on my FB and I hope it inspired someone to attend or at least find out who you are.

  57. May 13, 2010

this bitch is a fucking terrorist and should go to hell.. fuck you you muslim bitch, go commit suicide know one wants you here anyways you filthy peice of trash, you are just a waste of space on this earth

  58. May 13, 2010

Look at her. Well dressed, certainly not starving, certainly not suffering, sure of herself, feeling confident and sure or her righteousness. Ready to put other people into gas chambers.

Give her a chance, and she will. No doubt about it.

Look at him. Well dressed, certainly not starving, certainly not suffering, sure of himself, feeling confident and sure of his righteousness. Ready to put other people into gas chambers.

  59. May 13, 2010

the funny thing is back in the 1940's Hitler would likely have put the same so called "Hitler Youth" (MSA) members inside his concentration camps…it is funny that you could allign with someone who would have murdered you and your entire race

    • May 13, 2010

also in her "home country" she could be stoned to death for even speaking in public but hey this is America where we give radicals like her the right to encourage genocide! just saying

  60. May 13, 2010

Just a note people, she is NOT calling herself Hitler Youth. That is a name that Horowitz applied to the MSA's event this week, and she was using it ironically. In no way is she identifying with Hitler.

That said, she IS agreeing that she is for destroying all the Jews. And that can not be tolerated. If a noose hung in the library of UCSD is grounds for suspension when it is NOT EVEN INTENDED TO BE HATE CRIME, than a blatant statement of hate should be grounds for suspension. Free speech only goes so far. I am horrified to attend the same school as this girl. This is the "freedom" and "open mindedness" of academia.

  61. May 13, 2010

I chose the name 'Asian Girl' to make a point of being neutral, between the Middle East and America. I have friends from both cultural backgrounds, atheist, agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu.

Yes, the above may be one person's beliefs, and I don't support them. But in the history of humanity, people supporting all sorts of different, and I'll like to stress different, viewpoints have made mistakes. I think we should, instead of bickering and going forth with ideas that would hurt another, people we don't know an iota of, work instead to understand where each person is coming from and work to the future that way.

I would hate to have ideas that separate people groups like the above force me away from wrestling with understanding the differences of this world and have kids grow up without friends different from them.

"In any compromise between food and poison, it is only death that can win. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit."
      — Ayn Rand

    • May 14, 2010

I'd like to see you try to understand and work with a rabid dog, without first imprisoning him.

How did that working with and understanding work for the Chinese citizens of Nanking when the japanese pillaged it in the 1930's?

Time for you to step out of academia and into the real world. There's no negotiating with a maniac who's brandishing a weapon in your direction.

    • May 14, 2010

Asian girl, I know you are trying to remain neutral and philosophical about this in the interest of peace and tolerance. You are right on about the mistakes, squabbles and wars that come from religions. In all of the religions, and non-religions that you mentioned, all but one either try to promote good or at least remain neutral. But it is one thing to make a mistake in pursuit of good or at least tolerance. Indeed your main point might be that it is quite another matter to be so intolerant of a belief system that you want to kill them. While it is a lot of work to get educated about the origin and present reality of islam, it should be obvious to all that rounding up a group of innocents to make it efficient to kill them goes beyond wrong (as in incorrect), it is evil. Islam is in a class to itself. Practiced as prescribed in the qur’an, it cannot coexist with any other belief (or non-belief) system. In islam’s case, the “Why don’t we all just try to get along” system won’t work. Throughout the world today, islam is only “peaceful” when they are in the distinct minority or in complete control – no exceptions.

  62. May 13, 2010

"Thank God for Hitler" What I find most amusing is that if Hitler managed to win WWII, he would have exterminated the Muslims simply because they weren't Germans.

dumbest people on the planet, she could have had a sign that said eating sh*t is delicious too

  64. May 13, 2010

On this comments board "Per" says,

'Is it just me or does David Horowitz's response to what was a relatively straightforward, if not the most eloquently-phrased, question demonstrate a deep unwillingness to engage academically. "Before I answer your question, please condemn organization X." This is not how academic discussion works as should be evident to anyone who is familiar with it should know.'

In reply to "Per," I teach political philosophy to university students and find Horowitz's question to be just fine. His question asks the student to clarify her position. She understands (and openly admits) that his question puts her in the uncomfortable position of admitting her sympathy with Hizbollah and Hamas and, in her words, "looking bad," or denying she supports them. If she was not sympathetic with those organizations, she would not feel uncomfortable. She would simply denounce them. She decides to say she sides with Hizbollah and holocaust. The primary obstacle to defeating this violent creed, is not the creed itself nor its soldiers, but those among us, like "Per" and "A. Casavantes" on this comments board, who make excuses for that creed when it is staring them in the face.

  65. May 13, 2010

Comments like 'dumbest people on the planet, she could have had a sign that said eating sh*t is delicious too' is not going to help anyone move towards change.'(Sorry timfloyd, your comment isn't the only one, but I'm borrowing it as an example).

There are comments being made here which I find to very on-the-spot flashes of anger, mindlessly made. The old saying holds wisdom: if you don't have anything good to say, don't say it. I'll like to add to that and hope people here would take note of this: if you don't have anything constructive to say that may help us move forward then don't say anything.

  66. May 13, 2010

A sign that says “God Bless Hitler”. I am outraged that “God Bless” is on that sign. Where’s my ACLU?

  67. May 13, 2010

Several MSA associations were founded by now known terrorists. Why this organization is on campus when we are at war with islamic terrorism I don't know. Could you imagine German Bund groups being on US campuses during WWII.
I think we should monitor this gal and her group closely.
I thinks its time for American Jews to stand up to OBama and the Democrats as well as the University system that promotes this genocidal, jew hating group / religion.

  68. May 13, 2010

Obviously the holder of the Swatstika banner is a devotee of the 1930's -1940's Grand Mufti of Jerusalem as well Yasser Arafat.

  69. May 13, 2010

Look what Obama did for these people a few days after taking office.

Now you know why these people have the courage to stand up and talk like this in our beautiful and free country.

  70. May 13, 2010

In response to Casavantes (this girl's teacher) – you should be ashamed for making excuses for this girl. She obviously isn't a peace loving person – promoting youth Hitler week, wanting the Jews to be rounded up and killed… is that peace loving? And as far as David "manipulating" the conversation – I would have to disagree. He was in his right as speaker to direct the conversation any way he wanted – which was away from this girl's entitled attitude to prove a very valid point. To be quite honest – people like your "peace loving" student are quite scary!

  71. May 13, 2010

Why her reference to the Cross? Wouldn’t referring to a martyr for Islam be more appropriate than referencing the Judeo/Christian Saviour?

  72. May 13, 2010

This is an incredibly short-sighted article. I condemn Hamas and Hezbullah as terrorist organizations. I condemn the nation of Israel as a terrorist organization. Tyranny and oppression are tyranny oppression, whether or not you have a flag to hide behind. Students are impressionable. It's obvious the student was pushed into a corner and alienated. The best way to take eyes off of your own misdeeds is to point out the misdeeds of another. Instead of alienating each other, why not extend hands of peace and acceptance? Peace in Jerusalem requires Palestinians and Israelis escaping the clutches of history and delivering a peaceful, unified nation. Stop being such terrified children and step up to the place to create REAL, LASTING PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

Until then, Israel and Hamas deserve each other.

    God Bless.

  73. May 13, 2010

I have been racking my brain searching for ways we can reach peaceful, logical compromises with people who want to wipe out all the Jews in the world. Maybe they would agree to wipe out just half the Jews. Then we could all be happy bunnies together.

    • May 14, 2010

wipe out just half the Jews. . . I'll go for that if you promise to wipe out half the muslims at the same time. Sounds like a fair trade.

  74. May 13, 2010

So are all of you now willing to acknowledge that Muslims are commanded by their god to conquer the earth for Islam, and to convert, subjugate, or kill all infidels, and that therefore they are divinely required to be eternally at war with the West, and accordingly, for our survival, must be removed from the West and confined to Muslim countries?

    • May 14, 2010

Yeah! and if they keep shipping out oil, we'll keep shipping in food!

  75. May 13, 2010

The responses from MSA's member is very telling, if we are listening.

  76. May 14, 2010

Earlier this year, I was pondering the question, which is the most anti-Semitic of the UC campuses? At the time, it looked like Irvine was going to run away with the title. But then Berkeley had a strong showing in April, and Davis briefly got into the mix. But May has been all UCSD–is this incident enough to overtake Irvine?

  77. May 14, 2010

Maybe without realizing it, most of us have already fallen prey to the politically correct idiocy that our concern is with radical islam. One doesn’t have to read far in the q’uran to see that all of islam is a threat to everyone. Straight from the q’uran is that the infidels are to be given only 3 choices: 1) become a muslim, 2) pay an ongoing jizrah (a humility tax), 3) die. There are no other choices. The q’uran is the standard of their “religion” and applies to all muslims, BOTH mainstream and the jihadists. When the only way for a serious muslim to be peaceful is for you to submit to their beliefs, I don’t call that peaceful. As proof of this there is no nation in the World that enjoys civil peace where the muslim population has reached a significant number, like 15% and hasn’t reached complete dominance accompanied by sharia law. Wake up Americans!

  78. May 14, 2010

Listen carefully to the comments and you will see the following: 1) She asked him to clarify a connection that he made between two groups, i.e. she asked for evidence. 2) He did not give her that evidence and thus the connection she referred to remains unsupported. 3) He asked her a question instead, "Will you condemn Hamas?" This is not how we should communicate with one another as academics. Q&A is for asking the speaker questions and for the speaker to answer questions.

We can debate which of his questions she was responding to with her, "For it" comment. In either case, we may condemn it. But it seems we must accept that he failed to answer her question. This means that, along with anything we want to say about her, we must say that he has accused a student organization of being connected to terrorist networks and then refused to support his claim. Imagine how you would feel if someone called you a terrorist, then when you asked him to support his claim, he refused to do so.

    • May 14, 2010

Look at the video dumbo. Horowitz did answer the question and pointed out the link between the Muslim Bortherhood and the MSA.

She refused to answer whether she supported or not, Hamas and Hezbollah, because if she answered in the affirmative, she was afraid she'd be arrested. Hilarious! She can sing Hamas's praises all she wants; she can't however give them money.

She is the coward who refused to answer questions, not Horowitz.

    • May 14, 2010

He said it was laid out in the pamphlet chapter and verse. Why should he have to reiterate what he's already distributed via written text?

Do you go into a meeting, having refused to read the material beforehand, and then ask the speaker to cover all of the things you were too lazy to read?

  79. May 14, 2010

Per and Co., his question to her was not an avoidance at all, merely driving his point home by having her answer her own question. To whit, the connection between MSA and terrorist organizations begins with her refusal to condemn the lunatics of Hamas and Hezbollah, and the dominos tumble from there. Second, he did answer her question, referring to the pamphlet that she claimed to have read and which he proved that she hadn't. Third, he answered her question by having her admit that, as a representative member of UCSD's MSA, she agrees with the idea that all Jews should move to Israel to save the muslim lunatics the trouble of hunting them down globally. Would it have killed her to say "no"? Actually, it wouldn't have, but her fellow muslims in Palestine would have. However, her reluctance to condemn was clearly not for fear of her life but rather her desire not to contradict her convictions and beliefs.

  80. May 14, 2010

as a patriot,i don't fear muslims.but the rest of you americans need to read and understand your heritage of the constitution.especially in the 2nd amendment.the left always accuse us of being,we are just alawys prepared for war.muslims are pathetic at war.we're kicking their butts while having our hands tied behind our backs by geneva convention rules of war and political correctness.i just wish they would hurry and go full throttle with their plans here in the u.s. so when the government fails to protect us,and the citizen steps up,they will be annihilated easily.look at our soldiers in iraq and afghanistan.taliban and al quaida leaders are falling down one by one even while being hindered by our own politicians.imagine the u.s. soldier and the armed u.s. citizen when they are allowed to go full throttle unhindered.just one brigade, uninhibited, can wipe out any middle east, dont't only invest in gold, invest also in lead.

  81. May 14, 2010

Kudos, David….If they are willing to spill innocent blood for Islam, they should at least admit it…

Thank you for exposing the ugly face…of Anti-Semitism

Btw…I just heard about this on the Glenn Beck radio program, he played the entire exchange…I felt sick to my stomache to hear such an evil intention…

Please Lord ..Deliver us, and Defend your people Israel…

  82. May 14, 2010

Ok, I'm sick of reading that he didn't answer her question. He did answer her question. In fact, she answered her own question. She wanted to know how MSA is connected to Jihad terrorist networks. He first asks her to state if she supports a particular terrorist network. When she avoids the question, he says this before she cuts him off to try and focus back on being some sort of victim of homeland security.

"You didn’t actually read the pamphlet, because the pamphlet is chapter and verse. The main connection is that the MSA is part of the Muslim Brotherhood Network as revealed…"

If MSA won't condemn Hamas and Hezbollah, known terrorist networks, then they support it. She fears Homeland Security might examine her because she supports terrorist networks. To say "FOR IT" when asked if she supports a particular function of a terrorist network is showing a support of terrorist networks.

How is MSA connected to terrorist networks? They agree with and encourage their goals. As she and Horowitz clearly showed.

    Clarified enough?

    WAKE UP!!!

  83. May 14, 2010

    She supports Hillary Clinton .

  84. May 14, 2010

To save you the trouble of finding my earlier comment, it is repeated below:

—So are all of you now willing to acknowledge that Muslims are commanded by their god to conquer the earth for Islam, and to convert, subjugate, or kill all infidels, and that therefore they are divinely required to be eternally at war with the West, and accordingly, for our survival, must be removed from the West and confined to Muslim countries? —

Many of you understand that Islam itself is the problem, and threatens our existence because Muslims live among us. But you don't take the next step – acknowledging the solution to the existential problem. What is the point merely of complaining – of recognizing what will kill you – if you won't combat it?

  85. May 14, 2010

"What is the point merely of complaining – of recognizing what will kill you – if you won't combat it?"

That's what we need to see! We must stand and fight against such disgusting, murderous oppression!

Here, I'll pull religion into this argument, too: my religion, Christianity.
In part, Matthew 10:34 "…I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."

All Christians everywhere who aren't standing up in the fight against Christ's adversaries,
who only bitch and complain but do nothing themselves except pray for someone else to fix the problems of the world (want Heaven's blessings but don't want the inconvenience of having to actually labor for them), may they be struck down as well in their sloth and gluttony.
Pedophile priests and Islam's child-marrying prophet are abominations, and their loyal supporters need to be struck down.
Accidents happen to people all the time.
Maybe these people like this girl might start having "accidents" too.

  86. May 14, 2010

Maybe Obama can invite the MSA students to the White House? They seem like they’d fit right in with his crowd.

So all this goes on while the media turns a blind eye and focuses soley on the “racism in Arizona”. This country is going down the toilet unless true, patriotic Americans take it back from the Marxists, Communists, and America-haters like these Muslim groups.

  87. May 14, 2010

  88. May 14, 2010

The MSA has a long history of harboring not only anti-Zionist but anti-Semitic agitators with frank expressions of "Hitler was right" regularly hurled at Jewish students. It is disingenuous to ignore the open hatred of Jews and Judaism often expressed by MSA students. In part this stems from the intellectual pedigree of the sponsoring offshoots of the Muslim Brotherhood, a pan-Islamic organization founded on Nazi anti-Jew hatred. In part, this is just in the atmosphere that MSA kids imbibe from friends, family, and culture. So she is a nice girl. She is a nice girl whose ideology is to kill Jews.

  89. May 14, 2010

Okay, people, keep reiterating the obvious – that Islam is horrible. That's real productive. By all means don't advocate, or worse still, work for, the solution.

  92. May 14, 2010

This activity at the UC campuses is not new. It has been going on for decades. While employed at Scripps and UCSD I recall Angela Davis and her mentor in the early 60's; she wasn't exactly a pacifist either.

  93. May 14, 2010

Here is the background on the Hitler Youth Week comment (the student was referring to a previous comment by Horowitz):

    From News Reel Blog:

“Last night NewsReal Blog’s Editor-in-Chief David Horowitz gave a talk at UC San Diego to counter the Muslim Students Association’s Israeli Apartheid Week. (Horowitz made a point to properly describe the event as “Hitler Youth” week.) He was literally giving his speech at the same time as notorious anti-Semite Norman Finkelstein.”

Quick quote from Finkelstein from ‘DiscoverTheNetworks – a guide to the political left’ (link below):

In his 2003 book The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering, Professor Finkelstein wrote, “‘If everyone who claims to be a survivor actually is one,’ my mother used to exclaim, ‘who did Hitler kill?’” “My parents often wondered why I would grow so indignant at the falsification and exploitation of the Nazi genocide,” Finkelstein added. “The most obvious answer is that it has been used to justify criminal policies of the Israeli state and U.S. support for these policies.”

  94. May 14, 2010

Wow, I got a chill when she said "For It". Pure hatred right there.

  95. May 14, 2010

Casavantes – you're a large part of the problem! Any Jew or Christian who apologizes for Muslims who call for our death deserves to be among the first of their victims.

  96. May 14, 2010

Thanks, David, for showing the world, in living color, what Islamic Radicals can look like. God Bless America and help us through these trying times now and in the future.

  97. May 14, 2010

I am a 72yr old ex-Marine who would know automatically what to do with her. A very simple "final and quick soultion" to her problem. And it would certainly occur before she had the opportunity to eliminate me!

  98. May 14, 2010

Maybe Obama can have a medal made for her.
How about "Restraining to kill a Jew".

Because this is how sick our society has gotten. Obama has encouraged, through his
actions to allow this to happen. Imagine if the Hitler Youth were allowed to much on
campuses during WW2. Actually, the kids at school would have kicked their asses.

Today, the kids on campus in the U.S. are a much of weak pussies.

  99. May 14, 2010

The girl is wasting her time in college……..she finishes school, goes back to her home country, straps a few sticks of dynamite around her waste and sets it off in a crowded market place. You don't need a college degree for that…..a total idiot can do this……but WAIT…..she's already a total idiot……oh well……

  100. May 14, 2010

She was a very BIG porker, don't you think? Too bad Horowitz cannot eat pork, cause he fried her azz.

  101. May 14, 2010

What I'm really wondering is how much more brazen and in your face will we as Americans allow this to go on. What act will it take to finally get the 'nads to shut this madness down? Three failed attacks and the full frontal assault of the "enemy within" is basically giving them strength.

    • May 15, 2010

Americans, even the Tea Party people will only put up with so much. These muslims are now in OUR country freely and openly stating who and what they really are. Everytime I pass one dressed up in black garb I tell em fuck you and the MSA…I'm an American born and raised, NO religious fanatics are going to make ME feel scared in OUR own country.

  102. May 14, 2010

Why didn't she just answer the first question he asked her? She ends up showing who she is anyway. Look bad, she says? Ummm, looking bad is an understatement.

    • May 15, 2010

Duh, because the question is loaded and intended to shift the debate from the student's question into a realm where the only available colours are black and white. Mr. Horowitz himself demands "for or against?", which is a ridiculously simplistic question not becoming of a serious politician. Imagine if you asked someone "do you support the US army?" and received a question in response "do you support the organization whose members are responsible for the My Lai massacre?". That's no proper way to debate or even to have a casual conversation, it's just looking for a fight.

  103. May 14, 2010

Two comments: if this woman is really a student at UCSD, the admission criteria must be pretty low–you’d have to be a moron to think that just saying you support Hamas would put you on a DHS list. It wouldn’t happen, first because of free speech in the country (which Muslim countries don’t have), and second because political correctness has run amok in this country.

Second, how dare this swine make any reference to a cross, or suggest that she would be crucified. What an insult to Christianity.

    • May 14, 2010

The admissions offices of every school in america has an "International Students" office. Hiding behind the veil of "student" status was the same map the 9/11 terrorists took to gain access into the country. The schools say nothing or enforce visa paperwork – then they meld into the country to be lost in america as Illegal immigrants.

We haven't learned our lessons it seems.

  104. May 14, 2010

Thought you might like to see what the Nazi-girl is saying online about the incident:

Just a stupid, stupid woman unfortunately.

  105. May 14, 2010

Watching this from France, where we have our share of "neo hitler youth " pro palestinian marches with "Death to the Jews" calls….So veiled women (hello 9/11???) are allowed to march on US soil and say " God Bless Hitler"?
Isnt it a federal crime? Dont these "peace" loving muslims know how many US soldiers died fighting Hitler? How many civilians, gays, hungarian dutch, romanian, french, british, russians died? ( I wont mention Jews because for muslims the holocaust never happened!) Mr Horowitz should have asked her a few other questions:
Ask her if she agrees with death sentences for apostates,?
For Gays? (see if she agrees with the way ahmadinejad treats them and the Bahai….)
THat might get her arrested more easily.
To the slightly illuminated Pr (your antisemitism/zionism is palpable : "manipulated ( jews are manipulative)the conversation in this fashion to make her look like someone she isn't, out of an egotistical(jews are egostist work for selfinterest) desire to prove his own point, rather than engaging in a constructive ( israelis not constructive)dialogue. A perfect example( a jew, blame it on them) of why the peace process is limping foward so painfully." newspeak!!!!!), the only people manipulating this extremist student are the imams spewing hate at the mosques…. MSA is a pro terrorist organisation and should be banned from Campuses, and the US. CAIR as well. I agree fully with Radegunda and David. I live in Europe and see it happening before my eyes. I grieve too, and see a great darkness ahead. And by the way I am a catholic too….

  106. May 14, 2010

I had never encountered this word but I checked both Google and Snopes and learned a good deal more. Your time will be well spent if you wish to ponder on this one!
this will be in two parts because it has been deemed too long

    Word of the Day: Dhimmitude
Now that we have Obama Care, at least until we can overturn the bill, note that in the provisions of the bill, Muslims and Amish do not have to sign up for the mandatory health care, NOR pay for it because of religious convictions, They can however, enjoy the benefits of free health care. If you have never heard the word until now—Type it into Google and start reading…Pretty interesting. Note that Muslims and certain other religions are exempt from the Obamacare penalties and it is supported by law. We are surrendering from within! The boy is leading us right down the path to total control!

  107. May 14, 2010

    Continuing from part one.

Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam. The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers
insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking" and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, a Christian, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude.

  108. May 14, 2010

Sorry folks they made me post my remark in 3 parts.

Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the muslim masters AND serves to drive conversions to islam. In this case, the incentive to convert to islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well as the godless Generation X, Y and Z types who have no moral anchor. If you don't believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. "Sure, I'll be a muslim if it means free health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?"

I recommend sending this post to your contacts. This is desperately important and people need to know about it – quickly.

  109. May 14, 2010

I say ship her and all her MSA ilk to Iran. Then nuke the place.

  110. May 14, 2010

All Muslims need to be deported…NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  111. May 14, 2010

    The true face of Islam.

  112. May 14, 2010

Thankfully their cult mandates that women cover up completely. I think Maugeugwhsheg or whatever her name is has stuffed one too many twinkies in her face.

  113. May 15, 2010

    Wake-up America!

Why are these people here in the first place? Just what is the reason they are here??? Who let them into our Country after 9/11??? WHY??????

They have no respect for our Country or our values. And, I the taxpayer am dutifully paying for their education so they can grow-up and blow us all to kingdom come???

What is wrong with this picture?

    • May 15, 2010

Well Bush Sr. made the speech of New World Order after invadeing Iraq the first time. Then Bush Jr. that retarded idiot, immediately after 9/11 told Americans we CAN'T harm muslims? Now they are openly taunting us in OUR own country. Has anyone ever noticed that EVERYcountry the US goes to 'UNDECLARED' war with, that the very people from that particular country start arriving in OUR country by the boat load?

  114. May 15, 2010

    You are all racists.

  115. May 14, 2010

That tact only works on liberals.

  116. May 15, 2010

I am a retired military combat veteran and I will not allow my home, my country to be taken over by anyone. And that includes these weird college professors who have been corrupting our youth. I do not advocate revolution but when the time comes I'll be there and I'm not alone.

  117. May 15, 2010

Let me rearrange a wise comment by Mahatma Gandhi quite awhile ago….

His quote could be changed today to say: I like your Prophet Mohammed. But I don't like his followers. They are so unlike your Prophet Mohammed ~~~ So true!

  118. May 15, 2010

Why are these people allowed to stay in this country? Why does our elected officials turn the other way and seem to overlook people like this? I think they have pushed us citizens far enough! This country doesn’t need to tolorate these pigs, and that includes that fake president we have, he’s the first illegal allian we need to deport while we’re deporting. All I can say is God Help Us.

  119. May 15, 2010

I remember seeing a young Muslim woman thrown down (while begging for her life) in an arena filled with taliban men – laughing and mocking her as her skinny, sorry executioner shot her in the head with a smile on his wussy face. Then they showed (on TV) defenseless puppies and dogs gassed (and their horrible suffering) while the taliban men smiled and giggled….hoping it would affect (others') children that way, too!

I truly believe that these taliban/al quaeda men have a penis-problem. They are cowardly wusses underneath, but like to act "tough". They hate women…hmmmm?!

Don't think they would bother General Patton….do you? We need more like him. Who's going to run for Prez. in 2012? Another idiot like W.? We need someone like Eisenhower, JFK (Navy ship commander who saved all of his men), Ford….even Nixon. None of these men would put up with all this cr*p that's going on now. Let's hope the Republicans/Independents don't pick another craniotomied loser!! Please! No religious nutjobs…. We need intelligence, character and grit! If I see Boehner one more time, I'm going to throw up.

Get it right this time! O has to go…..

  120. May 15, 2010

    To A. Casavantes, (Part 1)
Plezzzzzze! As a Catholic teacher, are you well versed, or have any knowledge at all about Bible History? The history of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Hagar, and Ishmael? Do you know why our God ordered Abraham to dump Hagar and Ishmael in the desert? Yeah, Hagar was a major head-ache to Sarah (Gen.16:4,5), and Ishmael was a troublemaker (mocking – Genesis 21:9) from childhood. The God of Abraham (Jewish and Christian's God) heard the cry of Ishmael in the wilderness and spoke to Hagar. That was the God they used to worship. Years later, prophet Mohammed had several occultic encounters with a different god – Allah, resulting in the forceful transformation of the middle east by the "god of forces," the god of lies, the god of hate. Slowly, nation after nation (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, etc.) embraced hatred of Isaac's descendants (Jews) as taught by Allah to Ishmael's descendants (Gen.16:12) GB soon to be conquered, Israel targeted, then we're (USA) next.

  121. May 15, 2010

    To Cervantes (Part 2)
Woman in Video is good example of Allah's hatred. Casavantes, you say she is a 'Peace' seeker, the Bible teaches different. They and their god Allah are all about hate, and "their hand is against every man, and every man's hand against them" as Gen. 16:12 foretold. Ishmael's descendants no longer worship Ishmael's God, they worship prophet Mohammed's god – Allah. Allah can't be the same God Jews and Christians worship. Why would God war with a continual stroke against his people that worship him – Jews and Christians? If Allah is the same god as our God, why would he want to totally abolish His people, His special elect? It is the same old satanic jealousy – the same old spirit in the last days. They all come in the cloak of peace.

  122. May 15, 2010

    To A. Cervantes (Part 3)
"Peace, peace, peace, then sudden destruction cometh…" The "sudden destruction" is Lucifer himself (Allah) – the Anti-Christ coming as "The Christ" to sit in the Jewish Temple of God (now controlled by the Muslims) to deceive the whole world, so don't be deceived by Muslim's god or "world-wide caliphate" – (See 2nd Thess. 2:3,4)
    2Thess 2:3 – "Let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Thess 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God"

  123. May 15, 2010

Correction. What I wanted to say is,that, Islam-ism,Marxism and Nazism are all totalitarian blood – brothers.

  124. May 15, 2010

The Holocaust was unjust. The continual invasion of Palestine is an injustice perpetuating the cycle of violence. If someone invaded my homeland and committed an assault on my culture, the way I make meaning in the world, my human response would be anger at that injustice. Can we US Americans take it upon ourselves to educate ourselves about Islam and Arab culture to create a peaceful future between these two civilizations?

Continual presence of US troops in the Middle East is causing civilians to join the Taliban out of anger when they see their innocent family members killed in drone attacks. Across politics, religion, and culture we share a common humanity. Violence perpetuates violence. An attitude of hatred towards Muslims living in this country is unproductive to creating a peaceful and sustainable future for the US. I am blessed to know beautiful and intelligent Muslim students in this country; I value their friendship and contribution to my education.

Please list the dates when the Jews invaded Palestine.

      They were always there.

  125. May 15, 2010

You probably will not see much of this on Main Stream Media (except FOX NEWS , thank God). But what you will see is continuing coverage of TEA Party people that possibly could turn violent. Possibly. Or Arizona police that possibly could use “profiling”.

People who hate America or deemed normal, innocent, harmless victims. While those that love America are labeled “Radical” and “Dangerous”.

Who the hell’s side is Obama,Holder and Pelosi on?

One more 9/11. Just one more and America’s patience and silence will quickly end. If this little gal would have made this speech on 9/12/2001 she would be in Guantanamo right now.

  126. May 15, 2010

Who is the first terrorist state in the world and what state attacked America ?

    USS LIBERTY, 9/11 ?

  127. May 15, 2010

USS LIBERTY survivor and war hero Phil Tourney joins the program as we interview Josh Steiber of Iraq Veterans Against the War. Josh was part of the same company featured int eh recent wikileaks video showing a dozen unarmed Iraqi men being gunned down by an American gunship.

When the Chinese and Russians invade America we will be fighting just as the Iraq people are fighting the invading force in their home land. No more wars for israel.

    • May 15, 2010

"When the Chinese and Russians invade America we will be fighting just as the Iraq people are fighting the invading force in their home land. No more wars for israel. "

We're in Iraq because we are addicted to oil.

      Not because of Israel.

      You're silly.

  129. May 15, 2010

I say lets line THEM 'the muslim idiots' up, and waste them just like the REAL Nazis did in WWII. This only goes to prove that the Nazis did in FACT align themselves with the muslims. WWII hasn't truly ended, the Nazis ran out of men after 6 yrs. of war.

  130. May 15, 2010

Nice to know THIS site censors 'FREEDOM OF SPEECH'.

  131. May 16, 2010

    Wow, this article is just….wow.
I knew there were extremist but this is too much! And wats with the whole open Hitler week celebration,…That's ridiculous….i can't believe people could be that open about their cruelty, its relly juss sick. it's disappointing wat this world is coming too T.T .

  132. May 16, 2010

Hamas? Damn! I can't pronounce Fatty McFat Fat Fats name? That fat slob should not be worried about political issues, she should be worried about a heart attack from all the cheeseburgers and donuts she consumes. What a fat slob, If I were her I would take my fat ass to a gym and quit worrying about issues that I cannot resolve. She should also take her fat ass into on coming traffic and get hit by a bus with orthodox Jews on it. I can understand why she wears a garmet, because she is ugly that when people look at her they want to puke. May God have mercy on her fat pathetic soul and hopefully she sees the light and loses some weight. Malik 4 life. Thank you

  133. May 16, 2010

I feel sorry for this girl; she has no conscience and I suspect she is most miserable because she has no love in her heart. Poor thing! It is sickening to hear her talk about the Jewish people – My Lord Jesus Christ was a Jewish Carpenter – healed the sick, loved people to the point of giving His life as a Sacrificial Lamb on a cruel Roman cross. He is risen and now sits at the right hand of the Father Almighty from there He will come again to judge the world of sin. I'm so glad I know Him by faith as my personal Savior – He makes all the difference in my life and I believe The Bible when it says we are to love our enemies and those who dispitefully use us, because that's what Jesus did for us. God Almighty will have the last word and it may be very soon!

  134. May 16, 2010

I cannot believe that our government leaders are continuing to ignore the fact that the Muslims in this country are not really true Americans and are here for one reason only…to destroy America from within! It is no secret to many Americans that the Muslims that are are living amongst us are not our f riends but are waiting for their orders to "KILL ALL INFIDELS….NOT ONLY JEWS…BUT CHRISTIANS AS WELL! And it would not surprise me one bit if our own President, Barrack Obama and many in his administration who are members of the Illuminati and in the process of setting up the New World Order which was prophesied in the Holy Bible to take place in the last days before Christ's return to destroy these anti-Christs and set up his kingdom upon earth. We are that generation Christ spoke of who would be alive to witness the greatest event in human history,,,,the destruction of the wicked from off the face of the earth…and that includes the Muslims, Budhists, Voodists, Illuminati, and the Banker Billionaires Iall members of the illuminati) as well as all the radical liberals who are ruining this great country, who have replaced our good laws (which were based on God's Commandments with the evil and wicked laws of men!

  135. May 16, 2010

Before this year is over, Obama will receive a wound in his head from an assassian who is already in the process of planning his demise. He will be severely wounded and for a short time next year, Joe Biden will need to step in and take his place. But Obama' will recover from what his doctors will proclaim is a miracle! Blut the miracle won't be from God! Satan himself will possess his body and proclaim his true identiy to the world and begin persecuting all Christians and Jews! That is when Jesus will intervene for the first time in the affairs of man…he will come with his mighty army of heaven and cast the Antichrist and his cohorts, including the Catholic Pope in a lake of fire that has been prepared for them. Christ will set up his kingdom upon earth and reign with his saints! At last there will be peace on earth.

  136. May 16, 2010

The failing California budget is only symptomatic of what our "culture" has become out here; our public university system is a serious contributing factor, since many of the mistaken beliefs of our young adults derive from that source. We have a daughter currently an undergrad in a UC school, and another family member who's a grad student. I'm often astonished and embarrassed at what I hear from the esteemed UC faculty, many of whom seem more like irrational, emotional adolescents than reasonable, educated adults.

  137. May 16, 2010

Wow, lots of food for thought here…first, this Hamas supporting hater, would not fare very well under a completely Islamic regime. She would find herself in the 'females are dogs' gender that would completely suppress and oppress her. Wouldn't be long before she would be raising her hateful voice in defiance of that sick religion and political thought that right now she is basking in.

SHe is an admitted terrorist..her views and admission supports that. FBI..watching??? She isn't just talking here, yu know she is 'involved' on a deeper level.

  139. May 16, 2010

Zionism is the cause of the world's problems. If millions of Palestinians have to be killed and displaced so that Jews can have their own country, then they shouldn't have their own country. Does anyone here know how Israel even came into existence? Wealthy European Jews literally bought up the land of Palestine and took it from under the feet of Palestinians who'd been living there for thousands of years. Then they made the land "inalienably Jewish", meaning it could never be sold to a non-Jew. That way it would be impossible for the Palestinians to get it back. Um, no wonder Palestinians are pissed. They lost their country because some rich pukes bought it out from under them. Screw Israel.

    • May 16, 2010

"Zionism is the cause of the world's problems."

" If millions of Palestinians have to be killed and displaced so that Jews can have their own country, then they shouldn't have their own country."

      Millions of Pals killed? Displaced?

Interesting anecdote. (You may want to proofread the transcript.)

What surprises me is not that this MSA-member said what she said, but that she said it on camera. Btw, is that “God Bless Hitler” sign in the picture genuine, and absolutely not Photoshopped?

The Jews have too much of an influence in our government now , how can a people who represents only 1% or less of our population have this much influence in our financial , economic , judicial and legislative sections of our country , the same thing happened to Germany in WW 1 , and the country was bankrupted that led it into WW II , The Jews should be exterminated from this earth , after all they betrayed the son of God , for the future of Humanity kill all the Jews now , they have become the cancer of history.

    • May 20, 2010

  142. May 16, 2010

Women that support Islamic fundamentalism have no idea that they are nothing but disposable commodities to the male dominated Islamic Fundamentalist heirarchy.

In the Islamic world women are beaten, raped, and made to marry at very young ages to men 3-5 times there age. Women are like goats to moslem men and women cannot speak -up or travel where they want or even leave the home unaccompanied. They are forced to wear Burqas and Hajibs and most think this is acceptable. I pity all of those poor subjugated women and young girls.

Religion is a dark age concept and Jews, Catholics, Moslems, Hindi, Bhudda, Mormon, Quaker, Baptist or whatever must realize that human rights and dignity and respect towards eachother , and our planet and all of the plant and animal kingdom must be respected and used only for necessary life supporting sustenance. and we must not spread toxic substances around our earth and pollute our water sources.

Humans are like a virus, overpopulating and killing our planet and people must realize that we are all in this together as one human race and we have only one place to live, PLANET EARTH!

So as far as that goes the Moslems, and Jews are not theiretically much different than the Nazi's because they believe that they are the chosen ones and that their beliefs should prevail.

Maybe the world can begin to heal if a major religious war wipes out the majority of our human overpopulation. Let the Moslems bomb Israel, let Israel bomb all of the Moslem population centers and maybe people allaround the world will rise up riot and inevitably destroy all churches, synogogues, and mosques, and leave a smoldering polluted planet where the real believers, the believers in truth and science, and fact can rebuild our world to be sustainable and create a responsible society where greed and hatred are not acceptable, and people do not discriminate against another for any reason.

  143. May 16, 2010

Wow. Reading through these comments, you would think America could do no wrong. Mr. Horowitz's comments are no less one-sided and ridiculous, given the history of the 80 year-odd old two-way bloodshed in the region ever since European involvement (I'll state that as politely as possible) in Palestine. Both sides are dreadfully wrong, and can only be stopped by international pressure. I found one of the comments implying "What has Israel ever done to the Palestinians" extremely offensive, just as I find it repugnant in the extreme anyone asking for another holocaust. The U.S. military uses Israel as a weapons testing ground, being quite happy to give them billions of dollars a year for the opportunity and for a "friendly" (and again I use the word politely here) base in the Middle East. No one trusts Americans as impartial peace brokers, because we're not. From nearly all of your comments here, you obviously don't want peace in the region either. You naively believe that if we wipe "the bad guys out" then everything will fine, without examining your own blind hatred first.

  144. May 16, 2010

the fact is Israel has been trying to WIPE PALESTINIANS OFF THE MAP for 62 plus years! look at a map of Palestine pre 1948 and look at a current map of Israel.

Israel is winning the media and public relations campaign because the Israelis have the money and influence to spin things and re-package facts to their advantage.

check out some websites like if americans knew or mondoweiss or the haaretz paper.

Palestinians are oppressed and have been by Israel for 62 years. Israelis STOLE the land from Palestinians. google Nakba. Israelis moved into houses that were Palestinian homes just days and weeks prior. Palestinians were told leave your home, farm, land, businesses, offices or we'll shoot you.

Please don't buy into the Israeli Hasbara/ propaganda. do some searching with an open mind.

consider what Malcolm X said, "justice is on the side of the oppressed."

PLEASE take the time to learn the TRUTH, the history behind the conflict like 750,000 Palestinians who were forced to leave their homes so that Jews could occupy them.

is this right? no way. before you judge, do the right thing and educate yourself. open your mind. don't buy into the Israeli victim story. because the victim of the holocaust is now the oppressor of Palestinians.

    • May 20, 2010

David is no hero for blasting a person for speaking her mind in a public forum. For setting her up to fail and to be ridiculed.
How much guts did it take David to do that? None.
I don't have the guts that the girl had, to stand up and speak her mind in the face of a hostile crowd and a hostile, uninformed world.
    And neither do you.

    • May 20, 2010

Ha!!!! are no better than that idiot girl who was given the microphone …just as big of a society problem like she is….

  146. May 16, 2010

Mr. Horowitz, do you condemn the killing of children and women by Israel? The systematic genocide of a people and the taking of their land? Do you condemn the concentration camp Israel has set up? *silence* If you don't condemn it, then you support it, and that makes you the equivalent of other evil people like Adolph Hitler.

    Case closed

FYI: 92% of Israel was owned by the Arabs prior to 1947. Only 8% was owned by the Jews. The population of the Jews at the time was 30% of the population while the Arabs were the other 70%. Compare that today with the land grabbing done by the Israeli Jews, with the support of western countries and you see the mess we are in today.

    • May 16, 2010

      Actually they hardly owned anything.

It was owned by the Turks you drooling idiot. After WW1, it was owned by the British who gave
90% of the mandate to the Hashemites.

So much ignorance, so little time.

  147. May 16, 2010

Load of rubish this is Islamophobia in your face how many Jews or Christians or Hindus or Budhists chants lets wipe so and so out (islam a big target here) and how many get such an amazing air time by people that claim that they need to wage war againsts them because of a few ?

Islamophobia is the new Antisemitism fueled by neo Nazi's and Zionists that need to raly their folk at the expense of others.

  148. May 16, 2010

This isn't news worthy. Your obsessed with the Holocaust and highly suspicious of Arabians. Get over it! This is just Zionist masturbation nonsense.

  149. May 16, 2010

Ah, DUH! Where have most of you people been for the last decade or more? People better wake up and do something about it before they wake up in an Islamic country. But given the history of this country ignoring illegal immigration they are likely to wake up in a Mexican Islamic country. Stay asleep sheeple and lose your culture, language, rights, land and life.

  152. May 16, 2010

Hey guys, you might want to check out what this girl has to say. It made me feel pretty dumb for flying off the handle like I did (privately.)

  153. May 16, 2010

i'm glad i came across this website. it just shows what kind of terrible thinking — all around — there is on the palestinian-israeli question. i hardly know where to start. first, the headline is completely inaccurate. the person did not say she supported a holocaust. the fact that you read into what the person is saying and then make it into the most sensational headline destroys your credibility. sorry – you cannot do that, it's completely unethical. then i read some of the comments and there's even more craziness. the hate against islam is as troubling as the anti-semitism that one finds on the other side. there's such polarized thinking here! it's the famous bush "with us or against us" weak thinking. your rhetoric here is apocalyptic, there's no other way to resolve this, is there? no wonder israelis and palestinians keep bombing each other. it's just a question of who can dominate who. finally, to the person who says, "it's ok to praise hitler in america… and walk the streets?" where have you been? have you read the first amendment to the u.s. constitution? have you heard of the kkk? why don't you watch fox news, too? it's full of hate speech as are its heroes, who have regularly talked about assasinating the president of the united states (which is a crime) in barely disguised terms. i don't know what the answer is to this conflict but clearly it's not going to be found among the people here nor their counterparts on the other side. how sad.

  154. May 16, 2010

"David Horowitz: If you don’t condemn Hamas, obviously you support it. Case closed."

Your premise is illogical, David. Any argument that follows from this assumption is based on an erroneous proposition.

  155. May 16, 2010

Wow! I came across this through Google News – what a collection of bigots, fear-mongers, and fanatics you have here. You people need to reacquaint yourselves with the first amendment.

  156. May 16, 2010

Hey, you bigottet bunch of losers. Get a grip on reality, and leave the Muslims alone. Doesn’t it get uncomfortable with your pants full of crap every day?

  157. May 16, 2010

Plenty of blame to go around in the mid east. Any while Horowitz might have been confrontational in his debate style, she could have easily said "I do not support the violent actions of either Hamas or Israel" or something similar.

I can only hope her "Hitler Youth" comment and "for it" were misguided youthful attempts at provocation. Religion can be toxic in any flavor and no denomination is exempt from "crusaders" who want to rid the world of "infidels". But if this is really how she feels, then why does she have a visa? If she is really preaching hate then she needs to go home. Same for any visitor.

  158. May 16, 2010

I live in Israel. I work in Israel. I would die for Israel. I am a Jew. I thank you for posting this because, while many say Horowitz manipulated the situation, I see that he brought the truth out. Not every Muslim wishes for another Holocaust. Not every Jew believes the Holocaust happened. But one thing that cannot continue is hatred. The young woman discussed in this article is NOT peaceful (as described by her professor) – she is assumed to be peaceful because many in the Left do not want to see a young, bright woman for who she is – an anti-semite.

9/11 was not a wake up call for the US, it led us further into denial. We fight wars on the soil of other countries because we can't face fighting it on our own soil. This is why I left the US.

I believe enought is enought, send these student back to their own countries. We should not except these students in our universities.
I believe in America and the right to own weapons for self defense. Additionally, they can eat their oil.

If a hate allowed to meet on campus and form meetings and/or protests…..why isn't the university stopping it? This is a HATE group! Does this university also promote KKK meetings?

The evil is Islam, just read the Quran in relation to Christian and Jews, they call us pigs and monkeys and that Muslims should kill us any way and anyhow. its in the blood filled pages of the Quran. Allah is Satan. Islam is anti-Christian, Jew, and any other faith on the planet. There will be another genocide, started not in the death of any one person but of a faith maybe all religions that preach hate, backwardness should be destroyed, yet there is only one that preaches that now. If god wants to kill, let it do its own job. God, if there is a god would not get man to do a job it can do far better. I am a Christian and a believe in Jesus who never asked us to kill, there is a reference but you need to read the whole passage before you can say that. Islam preaches hatered, raping, piracy to name a few. We as a Global population must stand up and say people first, god second. If you want to kill us do it yourself, we won't do your dirty work.

Islam does preach hatred and violence against Jews (first) and then Christians.

  169. May 18, 2010

They are going to keep pushing the Jews until Israel isn't going to have much choice but to use their nuclear arsenal. And when comes to that, we'll see how many of these Jews haters are left in the region. One more thing, God is on the side of the Jews, and they will NEVER be wipe of the face of the end. Read the Bible.

    God bless you Mr. Horowitz

Remember, they see Christians as EXACTLY the same way. They do not discriminate, they hate YOU equally. This person is showing you its parents who need to be added to the FBI terrorist watch list.
Call them in for whoever knows who they are. No fly as well.

Clearly states MSA is at least a "friendly" organization.

The first thing the west needs to do is to have a citizenry who are willing to become informed, for If we remain ignorant and passive then no army and no type of physical weapons can save us. I never knew the magnitude of this Islamic world menace until I did a little research. Mine started because I heard my nephew had converted to Islam. I didn't know anything about this "religion" and so I started a cursory investigation and like so many others, "Holy ****!, how did I not know this?" Well the barbarians are at the gate, and we had better unite. This is our wake-up call to the true danger in this world.

  174. June 30, 2010

To the teacher Casavantes – how was your student "manipulated" by the speaker? We all saw the clip – within a few seconds of her speechifying, your MSA Jew-hater invited everyone to participate in "hitler youth week". The only ones I can see being manipulated in this exchange are apologists like you. Wake up and condemn this hatred now.

Is it -she- really worth all this bother? Her endorsement of Hamas hardly constitutes by logical entailment any "Holocaust 2" advocacy. The inference is purely suggestive and conjectural, and what the philosophers call uncharitable. She's asked, "For it or against it?" – "it" being the organization, not a statement of one of its members. Horowitz should have asked, "For that or against that?" (It's like me asking you: "America is no longer a Christian nation, says Obama. For it or against it?" i.e., America, not the statement). I admire David Horowitz, but he's overreacting and over-reaching on this.

I am glad my efforts to expose this wretched girl on my campus, UCSD, came through in this manner with David Horowitz. Jumanah and all of her cohorts HATE America and what we stand for. They are running rampant on our campuses and brainwashing all the twits/idiots who fall for their lies. Thank you for those of you who care about the direction our nation is going. I intend to do more with Young Americans for Freedom at UCSD and with the Horowitz Freedom Center to expose the MSA further. If UCI could punish them, heck, UCSD shall be next to expose them for the brutish, hate-mongering fiends they are.

    In freedom,

Seriously this is so disgusting! these comments are utterly stupid and just disgusting. First of all, this student was manipulated and being put under pressure to say what the speaker wants her to say to prove his point. And you're saying that the STUDENT who was pressured into saying what she said is a terrorist but commenters who suggest that the solution "is just simply to kill them all" are not? Who are you to decide whom to kill and whom to keep? THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE AN EXTREMIST MENTALITY. Maybe she is for a second holocaust because of family who are dying everyday in PALESTINE, IRAQ, OR PAKISTAN! Muslims are being killed everyday whether by the Israelis or US Troops and they are the terrorist in the end? It doesn't even make any sense. Americans are not being judged by the rest of the world based on their governments views or actions, Israelis and Jews too. But why are Muslims and Arabs being judged EVERYDAY in the FREE land of America based on the actions of terrorist groups that DO NOT represent the Muslim/Arab World nor the religion of Islam. Innocent people are being killed EVERYDAY because of the US government, and they are the terrorists in the end? Why is that? Because they're are Muslims? It is just something really repulsive to think about. Really ignorant.

P.S: Whoever is commenting on her sense of fashion, looks, or Hejab. Seriously? Mother Mary wears a veal in every picture there is of her, Nuns at church cover up from head to toe, and Muslim women are being judged for being the same?

Think, God created you with a brain for a reason.

She or any other person with violence in their heart are not Islamic, there is no violence in any religion, so stating that fact, true religion is a very rare thing, yes? I would call them cults, someday they may awaken and become religion. To begin, try following anger with pity, instead of hate…maybe?

Arabs who claim they support/favor/approve-of Hitler? That’s so ironic!

Don’t they realize where Arabs rank in Nazi ideology? In the Nazi hierarchy of racial rankings, Arabs are rated as “UnterMenschen” — inferior people, sub-humans. Yes, the Mufti Hussein allied with Hitler, but the Mufti was blonde-haired and blue-eyed and Hitler publicly declared him an “honorary Aryan” (although, as later revealed, in his diaries, Hitler privately called him “a useful idiot”), but the rest of the Arab peoples are not so fair-skinned.

Had Nazis conquered in Arab lands, then the Arabs would have been next on the cattle-cars bound for the extermination camps. Right behind the Gypsies and in front of the homosexuals.

Wow, this is really dangerous and manipulative propaganda. This has been edited to provoke a reaction in viewers, I hope anyone who watches this takes the time to understand the context of this clip and not just become hateful. Because this has been blatantly skewed.

But don’t take my word for it:
