National Inquirer: Obama Had Affair With Vera Baker

by
Posted on May 3 2010 10:00 am
Michael van der Galien was born in the Dutch city of Leeuwarden in 1984. For as long as he can remember, he has been obsessed with the United States. When he was 17 years old, he started blogging - of course about America. His articles have been published at Big Hollywood, Pajamas Media, Hot Air (the GreenRoom) and Right Across The Atlantic. He's also an editor for the Dutch conservative blog, De Dagelijkse Standaard.

From the looks of it, Obama could be in more trouble than even his most passionate opponents thought. According to the National Inquirer, Obama has had an affair with his former aide Vera Baker.

While Baker has insisted in the past that “nothing happened” between them, reports reveal that top anti-Obama operatives are offering more than $1 million to witnesses to reveal what they know about the alleged hush-hush affair.

Among those being offered money is a limo driver who says in 2004 that he took Vera to a secret hotel rendezvous in a Washington hotel where Obama was staying.

An ENQUIRER reporter has confirmed the limo driver’s account of the secret 2004 rendezvous and has also learned that on-site hotel surveillance video camera footage could provide indisputable evidence to the investigation.

It’s remarkable that this news isn’t covered by the mainstream media. First of all, this isn’t merely a rehash of old reports. Secondly, the Lewinsky-affair proved that affairs of presidents are newsworthy – to put it mildly. Thirdly, and lastly, the National Inquirer was the only one who had the courage to report on former Democratic candidate for president John Edwards’ affair with Rielle Hunter. The mainstream media ignored this scandal, arguing that the NI was little more than a gossip magazine and, therefore, not exactly reliable. A year later, however, Edwards had to admit that he did indeed have an affair with Hunter (while his wife was suffering from breast cancer) and that she had given birth to their daughter.

As an aside I have to say that I hope that this whole controversy will not contribute to Obama’s downfall: leftists should be defeated because of their political views, not because of what they do in their private time.

I think they SHOULD be defeated because of what they do in their private time. If a guy can't be trusted by his own wife, why should he be trusted by anyone else? If a man cheats on his wife in violation of a marriage oath he took before God, what does that say about his morals overall?

If a man who is allegedly a public servant were a pedophile or a satan worshipper in his private time, wouldn't you want to know that? Wouldn't that be relevant?

In this case, though, Dear Leader's complete lack of public morals is so egregious that his private behavior is utterly irrelevant. Although, if I were Mrs. Dear Leader, I might ask myself how the trends in my husband's public behavior and statements might affect his private behavior and statements. By this I mean, for instance, if a man is a public liar, he most certainly is going to be a private one also.

Does this mean that we're going to bomb an aspirin factory in Serbia again?

    • May 16, 2010

      You to be kidding me!!!

You are comparing running around on the spouse to criminal activity, such as pedophilia?

As for Satan worshippers, they are no more worrisome to the public as Christ worshippers are! And the public really should be alarmed that someone IS or FREELY ADMITS that they worship Satan or Christ. Those who delude themselves by belief in systems of absolutist superstitions are really unqualified to hold any office, let alone high office.

A camel woke up to a Polish dawn, wouldn't look to see his feet had gone. He wouldn't like it. Wouldn't have the stregth to fight it. I see the flies.

Hey, Syd: from one Pink Floyd fan to another:

There must remain a strong degree of separation between the private and the public realms — the absence of such separation is the very essence of totalitarianism. I don't approve of Obama's behavior, but the failings of his private life, small in scale as they are, ought not preclude him from holding public office.

    • May 3, 2010

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. If you going to screw your aide, what keeps you from screwing the country? I guess, NOTHING!

    • May 7, 2010

however, by holding public office, ALL activities are fair game and warrant investigation. The office he holds is the most public office in the land and has the hardest scrutiny applied to it. By announcing the affair early, and if he still was elected, (most likely not) so be it yet. If any of the allegations are true about covering up the affair to "hide" it from the public warrants conspiracy to defraud the public. By possibly misrepresenting himself he lied/denied to the public to make their own decisions during elections. Either way, Thanks to President Clinton, he won't resign and there will be a massive scandal if any of the rumors are true, either way he will single handedly make a one party system out of government, (not his party either) and that is not good for the country.
If you ask me, if the rumors are true, impeachment hearings will strart shortly after, and the supreme court will get involved.

      Here we go again. WTF!

  4. May 3, 2010

Exactly, Seek. It's about political ideas, about one's ideology, not about one's sex life.

    • May 4, 2010

Then tell me why the Dems used the Foley and Craig affairs to beat the GOP over their heads? You libs want it not just both ways but all ways.

  5. May 3, 2010

Call me crazy but I believe character counts!! This is the problem with the morality of today… when you are serving the public in this capacity it is important to have morals and character. Obama has poor character and ideology.

      May 4, 2010

You’re not crazy. Character does count. I’m currently studying politicians who had affairs and how that deception was part of a bigger narrative. Take Clinton. Or JFK. Or even FDR. This idea that we can magically change when we leave work or enter work is nonsensical. And, if character doesn’t count, then why do politicians run on family values? By the way, JFK, FDR and Clinton were all monsters.

      • May 4, 2010

I agree with both of you that character counts but should we be judgmental about the sins of our politicians? It one thing to do something major like this but do we want to start picking on politicians for minor things that shouldn't be a big deal?

        • May 4, 2010

If by 'judgmental" you mean "denounce vocally" than yes! The more we (as citizens who care about character) hold up a moral standard, and speak in favor for it, the more our politicians will begin to see that making policy actually takes a backbone and a moral compass. Serve the people, not your own appetites!

        • May 4, 2010

I agree with you… Ethical behavior within a public position (oh did I mention Presidency?) has to have a higher moral standard than the guy next door. Even if the guy next door is Mr. Rogers.

If this were a republican in office, the main scream media would be all over this like stink on you know what… but… oh…. hey… they'll call me a racist for even thinking these thoughts.

  6. May 3, 2010

    Disagree.

Honesty, dignity, honor, truth, trustworthiness, and fairness are only a few of the critical character requirements for being adjudged a human being, a man and, in particular a man in a position of trust.

Clinton barely qualifies as human being.

It's not nearly so much about sex, as it is about betrayal, deceit, callous disregard for a sacred oath taken at marriage, and a childish self-gratifying sexual gluttony (see: Wodds, Tiger).

    It does matter.

      May 4, 2010

I agree with you – character does count. And if people like Bill Clinton think that cheating is fine, then why do they make public commitments? Are marriage vows, just lies? If so, then they are hypocrites for making them.

  7. May 3, 2010

iyablue: many past politicians, including the big ones, had a "morality" problem in their private lives, if you'd like to put it like that. Just think about Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin with his escapades, JFK and so on, and so on. Big men have historically always had big flaws. Even Winston Churchill had a "character problem"; he was, according to many accounts, an alcoholic.

The entire obsession with people's characters in private is both ludicrous and hypocritical.

    • May 4, 2010

As Clint Black said about Clinton on Bill Maher's old show… "If a man will screw his family, he'll screw anybody"! Character matters most in our leaders.

  8. May 3, 2010

One of these gay men passed a polygraph test. This same man was then incarcerated until after the election. It would certainly explain obam's forceful agenda to officially normalize homosexuality. Such as; obam appointed radical lesbian lawyer, Chai Felblum, as director of the EEOC. Founder of the Gay, Lesbian Education Network, Kevin Jennings, was appointed to head the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools. Hate-speech legislation was recently passed to suppress public opinion against homosexuality. Subsequently, a preacher was recently arrested for merely saying that he believed that homosexuality is a sin against God. It is more likely that the alleged affair story is a strategic distraction… or an attempt to counter all the reports, suspicions about obam's homosexuality.

  9. May 3, 2010

viewpoint you are lying larry sinclair who claimed he had sex with obama failed 2polygraph test and you know it.why are you spreading rumors that obama is gay. larry sinclair is a felon and criminal and i followed this story so i know its wrong. but as for this story i dont know. the lady refuses to talk so we will see.

  10. May 3, 2010

Good luck with this one. Sounds like a real winner.

  11. May 3, 2010

Didn't Obama and Tiger just have a get together, recently?

  12. May 3, 2010

Of course I'm pleased by anything that impedes Red Hussein's progress But I'm depressed by the idea that much of the country will be more responsive to his betraying his wife than his betrayal of America.

The whole time Clinton was running around confabulating about his pathetic hanky panky with Monica I kept thinking about how he had allowed Loral to sell satellite tech to China.

    Now this.

  13. May 3, 2010

2004 Old news. He was not in office like president Clinton having pleasure in his office with a young intern who life was tarnish ,Clinton moved on and the world inbraced him including his wife. Explain that to your kids. As for me I believe what happen with Obama and his friend before he became president should remain in the past. Bringing all this up just confuses my kids and all our next gerneration. 2020 History books who want to read about the affairs of the Pesidents? How sad!

    • May 4, 2010

I love you liberals any thing over a week old is his past LMAO Your right lets just forget about UBL after all 911 was 8 years ago LMAO This Pig Obama CHEATED on his wife during his senate campaign ! Who the hell " Embraced " Clinton besides some unkown pathetic hooker the man is a Discrace to America !

  14. May 3, 2010

Everyone needs to CALM DOWN, clear your mind, & really READ the article CAREFULLY & SLOWLY. Pay attention folks! It's very craftily written, but if you read the article and "listen" to what the writer is saying, here are the four ambiguous items the article "confirms" …. (next post)

  15. May 3, 2010

    a) Vera Barker has denied that there was an affair between her & President Obama. (She has
denied it repeatedly, even though she'd make millions if she had a story to tell.)
    b) Republican political operatives are offering money for anyone to come forward with info. (Translation: an open invitation for any psycho whack job to make shit up for cash)

  16. May 3, 2010

It is more likely that this is a NON-story. It might have been a worthwhile story if the surveillance footage evidenced the alleged affair. If it was credible, the story would have been delayed until the surveillance footage was in hand. Instead, they merely hint, and spread gossip about it. There is far more evidence that obam is gay. This is evidenced in the fact that not a single woman from obam's past has stepped into the limelight to collect big wad$ of cash for a, "juicy," story of a past sexual relationship. Any obam past sexual relationship would have paid off big… even a lackluster one. As we have all seen, there is no hesitation from opportunistic women eager to ca$h in on their 15 minutes of fame. So far, the only ones that have stepped up have been gay men.

  17. May 3, 2010

    A) That despite the very real possibility she could make several million dollars, Vera Barker has denied over and over and over again that she did not have an affair with President Obama.
    B) Republican political operatives are offering cash money to anyone who will come up with a story, practically insuring that every nutjob will at least TRY to make up shit and get paid.

  18. May 3, 2010

I agree. A surveillance video COULD provide indisputable evidence to the investigation. It might only be indisputable evidence that Ms. Baker was at the hotel. Then again, it might be indisputable evidence that she wasn't. In any case, it will definitely provide indisputable evidence of something.

All this "revelation" shows is that someone, somewhere would like to see Obama mired in a scandal.

  19. May 3, 2010

    A) Despite the very real prospect of making multi-millions, Ms. Vera Barker has denied repeatedly that she had an Affair with the POTUS.

  20. May 3, 2010

More news worthy than any alleged affair by Obama is the ecological catastrophe developing in the Gulf which the news media is downplaying and covering as just another oil slick. Three-years down the road when you order "shrimp" at Red Lobster you'll be asking the waiter where they get their shrimp from. Three-years down the road when you go to the pet store to replace your tropical fish and the tanks are emopty because the coral reefs off Florida's coast are dead- then the collossal reprocussions of the BP oil slick will start sinking in. When Lousianna's wetlands erode into the gulf- destroyed forever- maybe people will care more about BP and their gross negligence than nay affair involving Vera Baker.

you are so righ sir hall" worry about the year to come what is going to happen to our heath and what we eat…worry about what you all doing in your closet… GOD HELP US,

  21. May 3, 2010

    B) "political operatives" (Enquirer's words) have admitted they're scouring the country for anyone who is willing to talk.

  22. May 3, 2010

    c) "Investigators" are scouring hotel surviellance tapes. ( Presently there exists NO "tape.")
    d) A limo driver "claims" he drove them and an Enquirer "confirms" that the limo driver has "made this claim." (Big Whoop! Keep in mind the specific word "claims." Who knows who this "limo driver" is. He could be some ex-con Aryan for all we know. He hasn't appeared on the news & hasn't been publicly interviewed). Next comment…..

People! Have higher standards about where you get your news. Yes, The Enquirer was right about John Edwards. They were, however, NOT the news source that broke the Lewinsky affair & for every ONE story that's true, they're WRONG about 100. Take for example their insistance that Nancy Reagan was boinking Frank Sinatra & George Bush was boinking Reba McIntyre.

    THAT IS NOT VERA BAKER

  25. May 3, 2010

As usual as in Zionism books who does not agree with their ideas prepare a sex scandal for him
this was done ten times before..

  26. May 3, 2010

and " the world inbraced him" What correspondence high-school did you go to? What the hell is inbraced? Idiot

  27. May 3, 2010

AND PEOPLE REALLY BELIVED HE WAS PAYING MILLIONS TO LOCK UP HIS RECORDS.

  28. May 3, 2010

I think it is a problem as well. A public official who cannot keep his (or her) pants on could wake up in bed with the wrong person! How do you spell extortion, or putting governement security at risk. I also feel our president owes it to our children to display moral behavior. Isn't he supposed to be a role model to all these young black boys on good family values? This is just plain icky!

  29. May 3, 2010

Clinton trashes Teaparty people like we're a bunch of radicals! I am a stay at home mom to a medically needy child, Hospice volunteer and volunteer with abused kids. Clinton compared me and other "Peaceful", country loving, Teaparty folks to Timothy Mcveigh a few weeks ago. Sure, Clinton is a super nice guy. You fail to think tricky that many Sleezy politicians start foundations in order to hide money from what their really up to. And to think I even voted for him.

  30. May 3, 2010

I'm curious.. Do you drive a car? Heat your house??? Please, do tell

  31. May 3, 2010

"Clinton barely qualifies as human being."

So all the good that he's done through his foundations and ginvg millions to improve/save the lives of thousands count for nothing? Because he betrayed his wife? Does Jefferson not qualify as a human being either?

  32. May 4, 2010

Couldn't have said it any better, spot on! Stick to the issues. Change the way people think. But if the dodo steps on his manhood -all's fair.

  33. May 4, 2010

There was a legal aspect to the Clinton Lewinsky Jones scandal. It was called the rule of law, perjury, and something that was important Liberals during the Thomas confirmation hearings — sexual harassment. Plus, he tried to use his influence to sway a trial.

  34. May 4, 2010

You should take that picture down. That is NOT Vera Baker.

  35. May 4, 2010

The important question is not whether he had an affair. The important question is, if he did have an affair, whether he used campaign contributions to set her up in the Caribbean islands to keep her out of sight during the 2008 elections.

  36. May 4, 2010

Seriously WTF How could he not she's money in the bank. oh wait is that really Vera Baker???

  37. May 4, 2010

No, I don't fail to think that. But the guy spends one heck of a lot of his time on these things. I'm not pollyanish enough to suspect that he doesn't do it to keep himself in the public eye – regardless, he IS helping people that would probably not be helped otherwise.

  38. May 4, 2010

Legally, what was Clinton convicted of? Nothing.

Legally, it's not sexual harassment if the woman does not welcome it.

He tried to sway the trial? Under the circumstances, duh. He's the President. He's being dragged through impeachment for lying about encounters that have nothing to do with the welfare of the American people, their defense, or their interest. A sitting president is just going to bend over? That's not how you get to be president in the first place.

    • May 7, 2010

He lied to a grand jury. A FELONY. If any normal member of society did that we would go to prison for 20 years. Geez to say that he did nothing is moronic, and shows your ignorance. He WAS Impeached by the US House of Reps. and the senate by voting simply by party lines did not convict him. Yet History remains. He WAS Impeached. How easy people forget.

  39. May 4, 2010

Important correction! That's: "…it's not sexual harassment if the woman welcomes it."

That’s the point. Deception follows deception. Clinton’s so-called charities do more harm than good and trying to screw money out of nations for Third World tin pot dictatorships makes him a bigger sleaze.

  41. May 4, 2010

So, he was screwing a skank ho – who cares – look it his ole lady – if you were married to her, you'd step out with any skank that came along – so, what's the problem – all politicians screw around on their ole ladies…it's a genetic problem with all politicians…

Vera Baker, the Diva of the Banksters.

    Who Profits?

It is very opportune that Barak Obama affair should be unveiled precisely when the Banksters are on the grill. A rapid look at the résumé of Vera Baker tells it all.

People wake up They are mad they couldn't keep us from having health care the nonesense about the birth certificate is getting old so they start a new rumor. If I am paid a million to say that I hear Ronald Reagan and Elvis were lovers what does that mean aside from me and a mystery limo driver are now each up a million

  47. May 4, 2010

    You teabaggers are hilarious.

    You’ll believe the “Inquirer?”

More proof that teabaggers can’t spell.

These kooky conspiracy theories (birthers, truthers, “Red Hussein” is a homosexual, Obama is a Nazi, etc) will be the undoing of the conservative mov ement. Mark my words.

    • May 4, 2010

      "conservative mov ement" …

Before you attack the grammar, spelling, and punctuation of other people, you might do well to edit your own prose.

  50. May 3, 2010

I am not perfect, but I try to lead by example whether it be for my children, family, or friends. Those persons who garner votes or respect from others ought to strive to keep their nose clean and set a good example. No one is perfect and we are all born into sin. Does that excuse your behavior? I happen to think it does not excuse it. The only thing hypocritical in DC is this: 'if its a democrat that is caught its different than when a republican gets caught'. That is truly ludicrous.

  51. May 4, 2010

Oh, come on..As if cheating on his wife neccessarily makes a man a cad
Seek is right; I think it is despiccable to gossip about someone's personal life or offer money in exchange for personal secrets. It is hypocritical, bad style, and bad for America's standing.
Besides – there simply aren't enough men blameless in that department, and these witchhunts are so degrading..If a guy is continually cheating on his wife she will find out herself already, and even then it is nobody's business but theirs.
Stop this cruel and embarrassing persecution of public figures – who would want to hold office if it means you have to be spotless? Who is without a blemish?!
Just keep our own nose clean, and keep out of other people's private lives – even if they are presidents or famous people.
People shouldn't be asked to make public declarations about what happened, how, when and with whom, unless what they did is against the law.
    Disgusting..

  52. May 4, 2010

What does all this have to do with his sexual exploits??
The two things are just that – two things.
Don't put them all in one scale; he hurt his wife, there's no reason everybody else should join in the game.
Keep out of it, for pete's sake!

  53. May 4, 2010

The Enquirer is now also saying there is no video on Obama so is this another smear. For 1 million dollars how can you blame a cab driver-his word is all you got.
Since we are giving credences to the National Enquirer on all affairs. Didn't the National Enquirer also have a a world exclusive on Sarah Palin's secret lover! It claimed no less than three members of the man’s family including one by sworn affidavit that Sarah Palin engaged in an extramarital affair.

  54. May 4, 2010

Impaech the son-of-a-b—h once and for all!!!

  55. May 4, 2010

Are you serious? The "National Enquirer" is your source. Get real…I mean seriously….when you're through listening to that garbage…I got a bridge I want to sell you!

  56. May 4, 2010

I get it. All you have to do is accuse everyone in the world of having an affair, and since the odds are that you're bound to get one right if you accuse everybody, that makes you a reliable news source.

  57. May 4, 2010

You are well named, tricky. Clinton suborned perjury. The CIC lied under oath. A first in our great nation He was impeached on that basis. He lost his law license as a result.

It is a sexual harassment when a senior solicits sexual favors from a subordinate. In the corporate world, he would have been thrown out on his ear.

  58. May 4, 2010

    "Screwing a skank"?
How do you know the lady was a skank?
And do you think you're anything to write home about, talking like that about someone you don't even know?
That was a despiccable, low and disgusting, mean comment.
    Shame on you!

  59. May 4, 2010

They got a sense of humor when it suits them, assholes.

  60. May 4, 2010

MrsJack: GOD IS NOT PLEASED WITH "YOUR" KIND…

  61. May 4, 2010

It's easy to see that there are a few Obama supporters posting here and I have to wonder what they think of their choice since that horrible election day. I wonder….do they think it's ok to bow to the king of a muslim country and have the audacity to call the US a non Christian country? Is it ok to lie to Americans and keep the media from reporting the truth? I honestly don't have a clue why Americans would support this man for the treasonous actions he's already performed, and no sane person could deny that his character is highly questionable. Who really knows this man? We'd be nuts to trust our freedom and future to his socialist agenda, so why couldn't this story be true? He's failed us so far, so why be shocked and appalled when you hear that he's failed his own family? If you like what he's done for the USA , his cheating is the least you have to worry about.

  62. May 4, 2010
