The jury returned a ” guilty” verdict against a Tennessee politico’s spawn on two of the four hacking related charges.  David Kernall was accused of hacking into her email during the campaign and then releasing info, documents and pictures to the media.

From Sarah Palin’s facebook page this afternoon:

“My family and I are thankful that the jury thoroughly and carefully weighed the evidence and issued a just verdict.”

Palin continues,

“Besides the obvious invasion of privacy and security concerns surrounding this issue, many of us are concerned about the integrity of our country’s political elections. America’s elections depend upon fair competition. Violating the law, or simply invading someone’s privacy for political gain, has long been repugnant to Americans’ sense of fair play. As Watergate taught us, we rightfully reject illegally breaking into candidates’ private communications for political intrigue in an attempt to derail an election. ”

I want to thank the public servants who worked so hard on this case, particularly the jurors who gave up precious time from their jobs and families to listen to the evidence and reach a decision.

My family and I appreciate the good people of Knoxville, Tennessee, who showed us true Southern hospitality. We can’t wait to visit again – but without having a subpoena in hand.

– Sarah Palin

I found her message sincere, timely and well done, with a big dollop of social media savvy thrown in.   The hugely predictable leftists though are mostly refraining from comment.  Really?   No condemnation for a Democrat’s dirty tricks?  No mention of a decent judiciary?  Nope, nada, zilch, a big ol’ goose egg.  Nary even a peep from the ever-popular “inventor” of the internet Al Gore who has a big fat carbon footprint  just up the road from the trial in Nashville.

There is an old adage, “if you don’t have something good to say about someone, don’t say anything at all.”  It is heartwarming that the progressives have such a kind and thoughtful approach to Sarah Palin today.
